Chapter 5 - Chapter 6: The Name of the Nameless Dragon

The Void Dragon drifted high above the clouds, his gaze fixed on the vast green stretch below.

Void Dragon (thought): It's been nearly eighty years since I left my forest. And now… I've returned to the western continent, the land ruled by the vampires.

He looked down at the endless sea of trees—the Forest of Death, his old domain. A calm smile tugged at his lips.

Void Dragon: "It seems my forest has changed. The monsters there have finally gained egos… and their numbers have grown quite a lot."

He muttered to himself, watching peacefully—until suddenly, a tremendous surge of aura burst from below. The force was so immense that it sent him crashing down from the heavens like a meteor.

BOOM!

The earth split beneath him as he hit the ground. Dust and shockwaves spread for miles. Slowly, he stood, his eyes narrowing as he looked skyward.

Void Dragon: "What in the world…? Who has this kind of power? To push down a level 45 being like me as if I were nothing?"

But before he could move, the world itself froze.

Colors drained from the sky. The wind stopped. Even time seemed to cease.

Void Dragon (thought): What is this? What kind of being could make time itself stop just by its presence? And… how am I still moving?

The air trembled. Then, with a sound like shattering glass, the sky itself cracked apart. Space broke open like a mirror—and from it, a radiant figure emerged.

A man with black hair dotted with stars stepped through the broken sky. His presence was calm yet infinite.

Roshan, the God of Creation.

The Void Dragon's eyes widened.

Void Dragon (thought): Who… who is this? I can't sense anything from him… it's like staring into infinity itself.

The man smiled kindly.

Roshan: "There's no need to fear, little one. I mean no harm—to you or to this world."

The Void Dragon rose into the sky to face him directly, his expression sharp and cautious.

Void Dragon: "Who are you? And why have you come to this world?"

Roshan: "Me? I'm the one who made this world—and the boundless universe beyond. Some call me the God of Creation, but my true name is Roshan. You may call me that."

The Void Dragon took a slow step back, disbelief flickering in his eyes.

Void Dragon: "Wait… you're the creator of the universe? Then why are you here? I mean, it's your world—you can enter anytime you want, but why now—"

Before he could finish, Roshan raised his hand, stopping him.

Roshan: "You see, little one, I have a task for you. Not as a servant—but as part of a deal between us."

The Void Dragon tilted his head, confused.

Roshan (thought): He still doesn't understand emotion or trust—but that makes him perfect for this.

Void Dragon: "A deal? What do you mean? And what exactly do you want from me?"

Roshan: "Simple. I want you to become this world's guardian—to protect it and maintain its balance. That's the deal."

The Void Dragon turned away, sitting cross-legged in midair with a bored look.

Void Dragon: "Sure, I could do that. But I'm far too weak right now. And how can I trust you? I don't even know you properly."

Roshan smiled softly.

Roshan (thought): As expected, he doesn't trust me yet. But that will change with time.

Roshan: "It's fine if you don't trust me—you have every right not to. But what matters now is whether you accept my offer or not."

Void Dragon: "Even if I did, I'm not strong enough to guard an entire world. I'm only level 45. You, on the other hand, are omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. Why not just do it yourself?"

Roshan chuckled.

Roshan: "Ah, that's a fair question, little one. But you see—I've long abandoned my true omnipotence. It was far too boring."

The Void Dragon turned slowly toward him, disbelief clear in his eyes.

Void Dragon (thought): He abandoned omnipotence… because it was boring? Is he serious? Beings train for eternity to gain power, and this man just gave it up because he was bored?

As he stared, something caught his eye—two black horns emerging from Roshan's head.

Void Dragon: "Hey, Roshan… are you also a dragon? Like me?"

Roshan smiled faintly.

Roshan: "No, not exactly. You're a regular dragon. I, however… am a True Dragon."

The Void Dragon froze, eyes wide in shock.

Void Dragon: "What do you mean by 'True Dragon'? What's the difference between you and me?"

Roshan: "The difference is vast. You dragons rely on your core to survive—if your body is destroyed, your core must be preserved. But True Dragons… we are the natural incarnations of pure energy itself. Except me, of course—I created that race."

The Void Dragon was speechless.

Void Dragon (thought): So he became one of his own creations? How is that even possible? No—he's a god. He can do anything.

He sighed.

Void Dragon: "We're getting off-topic."

Roshan nodded.

Roshan: "Right. About the deal—and your weakness. Don't worry about that. You can still grow beyond your current level. You still possess the Demon Lord Seed, don't you?"

The Void Dragon nodded.

Void Dragon: "Yes. It merged with my Dragon Core long ago."

Roshan: "Good. Then why not become the world's first True Demon Lord? You'd gain an enormous power boost. At your current potential, evolving could push you to level 80—or even 90."

The Void Dragon's eyes widened.

Void Dragon: "Eighty… maybe ninety? Just from an evolution? How?"

Roshan smiled.

Roshan: "It's simple. To become a True Demon Lord, you must meet certain requirements and gather one million souls for the evolution. Don't worry—you've already met every other condition. All you need now… is a name and those souls to trigger it."

The Void Dragon's eyes narrowed in thought. It had been ages since he'd destroyed anything—and now, this offer intrigued him.

Roshan: "Don't worry. I can provide the souls you need. And as for the name…"

His voice softened.

Roshan: "How about I give you one?"

The Void Dragon's expression darkened slightly.

Void Dragon: "A name, huh? If you wish. I've never had one. 'Void Dragon' is just a title I gave myself—an identity I forged because no one else ever gave me one."

His voice grew low, filled with quiet loneliness. Roshan smiled gently.

Roshan: "Then from this moment forth… your name shall be Subash."

His voice echoed through the frozen world, carrying warmth and divine power.

The Nameless Dragon—now Subash—closed his eyes. For the first time in his life, a single tear fell from his eye.
