Drex POV:
8:19am....
I checked the time on my alarm clock; seems i overslept... I rolled over facing the ceiling ignoring the rays of sunlight on that struck the right side of my face.
'Seems there aren't any classes today'
I could hear chitchat coming from downstairs my teammates were probably having breakfast..
Well there's no need to stay here I'll go washup and join them.
I came out of the bathroom trying to wipe myself clean then my shadow arm reached for my clothes and grabbed them for me.
I gotta say this arm's been useful lately maybe it isn't that bad.....
"LET ME OUT"
'Again?!'
I felt the sharp pain coming from my eyes. The voice seemed a little louder too. I didn't know why this was happening but i knew I had to meet the commander soon then from the corner of i eyes i could've sworn I saw an entity moving across the room. When it seemed like it stopped moving, i approached it slowly and soon I was right in front of it. The shoulette with dimly lit eyes and a female build? Hell nah the voice i keep hearing sounded like a dude how would get piss and crash out just because he felt like it so ain't no way... the figured stayed unmoving while i slowly closed the distance between us...
*Knock Knock Knock*
"Wake up noob you're gonna miss breakfast, get your lazy ass off that bed and get down here"
I was just about to touch it when Hayley rudely came to 'wake me up'
"Yeah yeah I'm on my way"
But when I turned back it was gone.
"Great"
With a slight grumble, I wore my clothes and left the room...
No POV:
"So... That's the place huh... Hard to believe a place filled with orphaned kids would have so much residual energy"
Yuri sat on a rooftop eyeing the surrounding. The cold morning air touched his skin. The streets were mostly quiet as he could see a few people here and there...
"I Wonder why he isn't here yet i can't just start an attack without a plan...
Pfft... One thing's for sure I'm not going to get myself killed doing another devil's dirty work"
Drex POV:

"Uhmm... "
"Do we eat with weapons around here...?"
I was silent as i came down to the dining area where the rest of the team sat. Sure there was food and all but can someone explain to me why I'm seeing a massive cleaver, a bazooka and a katana on the table?
"Ohh I get it... The food's come alive... Lemme guess Hayley cooked..?"
Smack
"OW"
"Talking shit about your care taker... Asshole just sit down and eat"
"I get that but why do I have to sit next to you tho"

"Shut the fuck up and eat"
'Mmph'
She shoved some bacon into my mouth. It fell silent again...
I just stared as they occasionally exchanged I a few words then Vaden spoke up
"We're going to meet my sister to get you tested and examined; know the kind of devil you're contracted with and how much risk would be involved in keeping you here. I still haven't met the higher-ups to report tho"
He sighed
"Oh... Okay"
"Oii noob pass me the mustard"
"...."
I reached for the mustard. A lot of things were going through my mind right now... I really needed some encouraging words for real...
That aside this food is good.. she's a really good cook i must say. Although I'd love it if a knife was here. I love to cut my bacon into little pieces and pick them with my fork.. it feels nice munching tiny bits of meat cut neatly into little squares by a nice sharp knife....hmmm?
As i reached for the mustard i felt a weird sensation in my wrist.

NO POV:

In a split second a blade shot out of Drex's hand tearing through the mustard bottle and denting the wall, barely scraping Jax's head..
It fell silent again
" What the fuck happened... Why's there a sword in the wall?!"
Hayley yelled
"Uhmm I don't know it just... Happened"
"The hell do you mean cuz last time a checked there wasn't a big ass sword growing from your arm"
"WOAH! that's so cool... So you can like grow weapons from your body now? Awesome!!"
Jax shouted.
"Huh?"
"Huh??!"
He stood up and went close to the weapon appendage.
"It's long tho such a beautiful black blade.... OWW... It's sharp to...
Hey Vax he uses a blade too this is just too cool!"
Vax just sat in silence
"Are you nuts??! You should be thankful that thing didn't take your head off.. commander say something!!"
Vaden who was silent up until now spoke up...
"This was mentioned in the report... And i must say it's really impressive and the ability to spawn such marvelous weaponry from your body.... Beautiful "
"You've all lost it"
"C'mon now Hayley you have to admit it's pretty cool..."
"You're supposed to be the responsible one"
Vaden chuckled
"Alright Drex it's about time we leave she's probably waiting"
The blade retracted this time
"Ohh..."
"Don't worry she may be a bit too laid back but she knows what she's doing"
With that they went through the door towards that lab.
"This is the kid right.... Oh my gosh he's so cute!!!"
"GAHHH!!"
Drex Yelped as he was pounced by the white haired commander who held him close to her chest pressing him against them.
"Vadeyyyy look at this cutie pie i wanna squish him to death!!"
"HELPPPP!!!... MMPH... NOOOOO I'M DYING!!!!!"
Both Vaden and Hayley started.. They were used to this lively behavior but it always seemed to amaze them how obnoxious she was..
"Alright then I'll perform a few tests and run some diagnosis
This might take a while because we have next to zero info about you... Any questions...?"
Lia asked. They were finally able to peel Drex off her to get the examination started.
"Just one....Why is she here?"
He asked pointing to words Hayley...
Biff
She sent a punch to his gut which caused Drex to grovel in pain on the floor
"You think i want to be here?!"
"W...well y-ou didn't have to come.. n-oone asked you to"
He managed to breathe out
"Alright let's get started"
Lia performed a number of tests checking his reflex, body temperature blood essence and scanning his devil energy
Drex was amazed at how well she did everything and how expertly it was managed
"Okay next I'm gonna need a little bit of your blood I'm gonna check for the devil you're contracted with"
"And how would you do that?"
After drawing an amount of blood, she explained....
"Everything on earth is laced with devil energy and infusing it with the right object would increase its performance and do things it normally wouldn't be able to"
She brought out a machine
"This machine is exactly what I'm talking about... It used to be a normal scanner but after i bombarded it with devil energy it can tell what devil someone is contracted with as well as the breed and special conditions just by putting some blood in provided certain conditions are met"
She put the blood in a vial and put it in the machine.
Scanning.....

"What....?"
She drew another amount of blood and infused it with her own devil energy before putting it in again
"It seems your blood isn't compatible with the machine... Interesting"
As she put it in Drex's eye went wide
"Let... Me... Out..."
Grrr...
The next moment Drex transformed his skin turned bright red and claws came out. Opening his mouth, drool dripped on the floor and steam escaped his body...
Everybody watched in shock.. they all froze, sure he would attack anybody at any moment but he just stood there breathing heavily as his yellow eyes starred into Lia's teal ones.
After a few moments... The results popped up on the screen
