CHAPTER-
After two stressful days of waiting for the results. We got our results. People who got disqualified, people who didn't make it, classes, and more.
"oh yeah!! Mr Kasem's class! Rank one!" Thalia cheered.
"well done I guess… I got put in rank two." Ravi pouted.
"Me too.. Nami's class." I said.
"oh man, guys, don't be discouraged. Trust me!" she pulled us both in a hug. "we will work our hardest! One day we will all be in rank one!"
"She's right, if we try our hardest. We will all achieve our goals!" Ravi smiled widely.
I searched for the name Keith, I saw it, he's going to be in rank 1 for wind magic, the universe had to separate us as always.
"and get this, the head followed my wishes, multiple girls will now be placed in classes! They can all grow stronger!" Thalia said. "We all should celebrate! -"
"Gentlemen and ladies!" that voice, the same voice from the tournament. "Once you've read your ranks, please head to your classes!"
"oh? Aw that's a shame" Thalia gloomed.
"I thought we were going to celebrate!" Ravi said.
"Guys, guys. I know, but how about we meet up here again, at break and lunch?" I said, trying to ease everyone's sorrow. "Plus, we still share dorms, we can celebrate in our room"
"this is so unlike you but I agree!" Thalia said.
Ravi nodded happily. "yeah! Okay! I'm off everyone!" Ravi hopped away.
"see you later, give me a shout if you need anything, don't hesitate" Thalia said.
We went our separate ways for now. And I marched into my new class, I was quite nervous.
I looked to my right to see a muscular man get thrown in my direction.
"-I said don't touch my headphones!!" a boy spoke, his nose flared as his silver hair jumped around. His left hand held dark-blue shaped headphones. Sai. A guy who's glued to his headphones.
Before I could think I felt a finger wrapped against mine. "Hey there, pretty lady, what's your name?" Ha-Joon blew a charming smile.
"my name is… um…" I responded awkwardly, not used to the situation.
"-everyone stay quiet!! Teacher Nami is coming!" a boy with dark green hair, lean build and average warned. Kavin
"This class is so stupid" a boy with midnight blue hair spoke as he rolled his golden eyes. Kieran
"So chaotic!" some girls screeched.
"enough!!" Teacher Nami cried out. "everybody, take your seats now!" she scolded.
Everyone moved to their seats quietly. Everyone was surprisingly quiet after her entry. Is it good that they at least follow some rules?
"everyone, I'm teacher Nami, don't be discouraged that you're in rank two, my class is the best anyway!" she said writing her name on the board "rank 2 is like a build-up, so you won't be behind. And welcome ladies, I'm sure you all can learn magic here!"
Five females were added to my class including me. Everyone had their own style, friends and humour so the class divided pretty quickly, however even with our division in friend groups, the class trusted everyone.
"oo this is so, so exciting!! Learning healing all day was boring! I can't wait!" Kyomi Sato. Her red eyes glittered like stars. Her cotton candy hair neatly tied in space buns.
"all the girls here are cuties!" a boy with brown hair spoke. Xiao Yen, I heard he's well known in his village, but weird when it comes to women
"Shut up all of you! I'll kick everyone out if anyone speaks!" Nami warned.
"Good, anyway, I'll be your teacher throughout, you'll have like 2 actual lessons, one physical and 1 training lesson. The road ahead will be tough, especially with all the threats, but don't worry, the school and I will protect you. There are no rules about how we teachers are supposed to teach, so essentially, I can kick you all out for even walking." She said walking towards the door "let me show you all where most of your classes will be. And you can speak now"
"woah and here I thought she wasn't that strict. My name is Kento" Kento said, adjusting his headphones.
"Kyomi!" she said happily.
In a way, they both reminded me of Thalia and Ravi. I wonder what they're up to.
MEANWHILE- THALIA POV-
Walking down these halls is almost uncomfortable for me, the constant waving and thanking by people. I don't mind it but really my cheeks are starting to swell.
I wonder what Ravi and Rina are up to. I sighed before opening the door.
"the princess is in our class!!?" the girls squeaked.
It seems like there are 6 girls in here, plus me of course.
I walked in nervously. I was feeling quite cold feet without Rina and Ravi.
"just because she's a princess doesn't mean anything, besides, she probably bought her way to the top spot." Mira, she comes from a relatively well-known family. She can be quite cocky though. "but Mira, because of her, we can become stronger!" Zara stuttered. Her servant, they've been together since childhood, she's surprisingly the only person that can tolerate and control Mira. Her magic, she can turn mud into crystals and can make it sharp depending on her will.
"Your little buddy here is right, whether I'm a princess or not, I work hard for my own achievements" I tapped her shoulders. "Unlike you"
I watched her body slowly accept defeat. "urgh whatever, I'm sure you still use daddy's money." Mira said. "let's go Zara." She cocked her head away.
"Coming!" Zara rushed to her side.
"Man, already causing drama on your first day? Typical women behaviour "Rohan raised his head from the table.
"Hey!" Kasem smashed the door open. "Ladies and gentlemen, I'm your one and only rank one teacher!!" he screamed.
"I want you all to be the best you can possibly be, so! Welcome!" he laughed loudly.
"is that all? I was hoping for a grand speech" Miraa said.
"what do you mean!? My speech was perfect!" Kasem sighed
I sighed. This is the class I'll be in.
LASTLY- RAVI POV
Before the tournament and the apartment choosing, my mom packed many things I'll need, everything from my room. I'm so happy, although I didn't make it to rank one, I still tried. And my mom has been super supportive! I love my mom.
I sat in one of the empty seats, in the middle row, before bringing my book out of my bag.
I was so eager to learn everything!
"Nerd" Hinata said, one of the females who moved from the healing course to here. Her bright red hair touched my books on the table. Her face was covered by a white fox shaped mask, with a light blue colour palette on its ears and lips, similar to her eye colour. "I like that, what's your name?" she said sitting on my table.
"Um, I'm Ravi…" I blushed.
"That's cute, I'm Hinata. Based on what i'm seeing, you're excited for this class"
"Yeah" I replied nervously.
"Let's be friends, I like your vibe," she said, looking at me carefully.
"Class!" Hoa slamming the door open. "Wow, why's it so separated in here" he said looking around. "I will be your teacher, and I can teach so don't worry, I'll teach you how to face your fears and blah blah blah. Same thing every year" he yawned.
"Teacher! When do we start!?" a boy spoke.
"Now! It's introductions and all that, nothing scary, just… reading!" Hoa roared.
"Reading? That's so boring" every booed.
"It's a book that shows your weakness and how to overcome it slowly. You guys better read it!" he clicked his hands "so pass these down. Also everyone get to your seats"
"Well, see you then Ravi" Hinata giggled quietly.
KEITH POV-
Wind magic class. I got placed in rank one because of my status. Mr Pawan's class. Somehow I winded up with most of the snobby rich kids in my class. It's not bad, if the females don't keep flirting with me.
"Aren't you from the Eden Kingdom" Megumi. I saw her name on the list. Her long white hair covered her light green eyes
"Yeah? So what?" I glared.
"So how come you're in this class, aren't people from that area magicless?" she spoke, her dark red flowy hair neatly tied behind a small mask that glowed behind her, her ears instead of a pointy elf like shape, she had fox ears and two tails flapped behind her. She was beautiful, her eyeliner, her voice, her kimono, everything, but still not as pretty as her.
"It's rare, but I have magic," I replied. "Stop speaking and do your work"
She chuckled, one tail slowly covered her mouth. "Secrets don't last long."
"Go everyone, enjoy your break." Pawan spoke. "Have fun" he dismissed.
Everyone quietly left the class, I eagerly rushed towards Kieran's spot, under a big tree.
