When Togata finishes eating the ghost carries him and lifts him out the window as they fly away. ''Where are we going?''. Togata asks. ''To an orphanage''. The ghost replies.
''An orphanage''. Togata says to himself sadly. ''Oh don't be so dramatic boy, they aren't as bad as you think''. The ghost replies. ''Have you ever stayed in one?''. Togata asks.
''Well you could say that''. The ghost replies. The land in front of a church orphanage. ''Well this is our stop and this is where I leave and you continue, Go inside''. The ghost says. ''Wait, your leaving me??''. Togata asks worried. ''Oh don't worry boy I'll be with you in spirit, We just can let the world know about me just yet''. The ghost replies.
Togata takes a breath and walks inside. Where a Nun sees him. ''Oh my Sister Iris!! Come quickly''. The Nun shouts out in a panic. ''What is it!?'' Says another Nun rushing in. ''Look at this young boy sister Iris, he looks horrible''. The nun says.
The sister bends down to Togata's height. ''Hello cutey where are your parents??''. She asks. ''What do I say?''. Togata asks the ghost in his head. ''I don't know stay quiet''. The ghost replies. ''What's wrong little one?''. The sister asks again.
''They.. they..''. Togata doesn't know what to tell her. ''Don't worry I understand''. The sister says smiling.
''Are you hungry?''. She asks. ''No I'm fine''. Togata replies. ''Sister Sumire take this boy and help him go take a shower, and give him a change of clothes please, it seems he will be staying with us from now on''. Sister Iris says.
''Of course c'mon little boy, lets go get you cleaned up''. Sister Sumire says.
Togata and the ghost sigh a sigh of relief.
After Togata has taken a shower the Sister's make him sit on a table. ''What's your name little one?''. Sister Iris asks. ''Togata miss''. Togata replies.
''Togata?? The boy is Japanese, oh that's wonderful I knew this was fate''. Sister Iris says. ''Hmmm Sumire, I'm not familiar with that name, perhaps they are Japanese as well''. The ghost tells Togata.
''Is that good mr ghost??''. Togata asks in his head. ''Maybe boy''. The ghost replies.
Suddenly Sister Sumire rushes in ''Iris, Iris! Look!''. She turns on the TV as the news report speaks of Togata's parents. ''Authorities are looking for the couples young boy this is a picture of him and his parents taken earlier yesterday''. The reporter says. ''If you see this boy please contact the authorities''. The reporter continues.
Togata and the ghost gulp. ''I knew this was suspicious Iris we have to tell the authorities''. Sister Sumire whispers. ''No, His parents are dead didn't you hear, we can take care of him''. Sister Iris whisper back.
''No this is illegal! We have to obey he's an immigrant''. Sister Sumire whispers with worry. ''No Sumire, this isn't a coincidence, I believe fate brought him here, who knows how they'll treat him back in Japan, he has no one there, but here I know we can take care of him''. Sister Iris whisper back.
Sister Sumire sighs. ''Fine but if we get into trouble I'm blaming it on you!''. Sister Sumire says. ''Hmm! where is your faith Sister??''. Sister Iris scoffs back. She turns towards Togata. ''You're staying here with us Togata''. She smiles. Togata smiles back.
The day goes by and the sisters show him his room. ''What do you think?''. Sister Iris asks. ''Tell them it's great and smile!''. The ghost tells Togata. ''It's great''. Togata says with a false smile. The sister notices but smiles back anyway. ''That's good get some rest, tomorrow is a school day ok?''. Sister Iris says. ''Say yes miss''. The ghost tells Togata. ''Yes miss''. Togata replies.
''Good if you need anything call me. Goodnight Togata''. The sister says giving him a kiss on the forehead. She leaves and closes the door, Togata heads to his bed, and takes in the room and probably his new life. The ghost rematerializes in the room and stretches. ''Well that went well. I have to admit we got lucky''. The ghost says.
Togata just nods. ''And what's wrong with you?''. The ghost says. Togata doesn't answer. ''Homesick?''. The ghost asks. Togata nods yes. The ghost sighs and sits beside him. ''I know things are confusing right now, but trust me this is for the best alright boy?''. The ghost says.
''Yes mr ghost''. Togata says feeling a bit reassured. ''But.. What's the plan??''. Togata asks. ''Now that things are a bit settled I can reveal my intentions. Your goal needs quite an interesting set of requirements which you will be able to get by rubbing minds with the higher folk in society if you get what I mean?''. The ghost says. Togata nods no. The ghost sighs and rubs it's eyes. ''This will be annoying, well I mean you will study hard, and get a scholarship, that will allow you to speak with rich men, you will impress those rich men and they will help you, understood??''. The ghost says. Togata nods yes. ''Is that what you did Mr ghost??''. Togata asks.
''Something like that''. The ghost replies. ''So.. Pick your poison''. The ghost says. Togata thinks to himself. ''I promised my Dad I would build rockets, I'm gonna make him proud''. Togata says with determination. ''That's it boy, now your getting it, yes a Rocket Scientist will be fitting of your goal''. The ghost says.
''But Mr ghost... I can't promise any results quickly... what will you do in the meantime''. Togata asks. The ghost pats his head. ''Worry not boy, In case you have not noticed I have lived a while and when you live as long as I do you learn patience, I can wait a bit longer, but with my plan and guidance we will achieve your goal in 10 years maximum, How do you feel about that''. The ghost asks.
Togata nods with determination. The ghost floats in the air excitedly. ''Good! I like that enthusiasm, now that you will be with only the highest society has to offer we must work on your manners and etiquette!''. The ghost says.
''Stand up boy!!''. The ghost commands. Togata stands up. The ghost puts books on his head. ''First up posture, balance these books on your head without fail! It won't be easy but I hope you're ready!''. The ghost says. ''Yes mr ghost!''. Togata replies.
''And we have to fix that Mr ghost thing''. The ghost says. ''Well you haven't told me your name''. Togata says. ''Yes, I suppose that is true''. The ghost says.
The ghost flies up higher causing things to levitate. ''My name is Albert Tick and I will be your guide until we can fulfill our pact, what say you boy?''. The ghost asks. ''Yes Mr tick''. Togata replies.
