Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 Infiltrating the restricted zone

Moen smiled slightly: "It's good that you dare to explore, but you must be careful. If you really want to figure it out, you can go and ask Hagrid if he knows anything about it, after all, he knows a lot about magical creatures."

"Great idea!" Harry nodded, clearly agreeing with Moen's suggestion. "Want to come along, Moen?"

We're about to fight the boss, and his mission isn't complete yet, so we need to speed things up.

"No, thank you." Moen shook his head. "I'm going to read for a while longer. You guys go find Hagrid first."

Hermione hesitated for a moment, seemingly wanting to stay and learn, but her mind was still preoccupied with her experience with Cerberus. "Okay, then we'll go find Hagrid. Be careful on your own."

Moen nodded slightly, watching Harry, Hermione, and Ron walk out of the library, silently planning his next move.

Moen continued to bury himself in his book, but his eyes kept glancing toward the doorway.

Mrs. Pince, the librarian, would patrol the corridor from time to time, and Moen would lightly mark the time with each step she took.

Through observation, he was able to estimate Mrs. Pince's patrol cycle.

"Mrs. Pince patrols the corridor twice every hour," Moen thought to himself. "This is the crucial time for us to enter the restricted book section."

The system's prompts indicate that the library's protective magic primarily relies on a basic, enclosed barrier.

These barriers are not complicated, but they are still difficult for ordinary students to break.

Forcibly breaking through will trigger the light-sensing alarm at the entrance to the forbidden book area—a kind of light-sensing magic that automatically activates the alarm when someone crosses the gate.

I don't know why Ha managed to get in so easily using the invisibility cloak.

Not long after, Harry, Hermione, and Ron returned with excited expressions, clearly having obtained a lot of information from Hagrid.

"Hagrid said the three-headed dog was his," Harry said, his face somewhat grave. "He said the three-headed dog was very loyal, but it would fall asleep quickly if it heard music, and a masked man still found out about it."

Hermione added, "Hagrid also mentioned that what Cerberus is guarding might be related to Nicolas Flamel. I can't remember where I've seen Nicolas Flamel before." Her eyes sparkled with curiosity. "So we came to the library to look for information about him."

Moen nodded, thinking to himself, "Nico Flamel is the creator of the Philosopher's Stone, but I can guide him to help me complete my mission."

"Since it's related to the restricted area on the third floor, I think this person should be mentioned in the restricted book section of the library," Moen analyzed seriously.

"We can try to go in," Moen said in a low voice.

"No, that's against school rules," Hermione immediately objected.

Ron moved closer and Hermione reminded her, "Just now, someone on the third floor of our section also violated the school rules."

Hermione glanced at the three of them, then reluctantly pulled out a copy of "Hogwarts: A History of the School." "I saw a secret passage here that leads to the restricted section of the library."

Harry and Ron exchanged an excited glance.

Moen hadn't expected such a pleasant surprise; he shouldn't have underestimated Hermione just because she was young.

Even though he is older than her mentally and has a system, he still can't compare to her when it comes to reading.

"Then let's try this passage!" Moen said, looking at the location of the secret passage in the book.

The four of them discussed it and agreed to act that night.

The nights at Hogwarts are always filled with a mysterious atmosphere, quiet yet full of anticipation.

Moon White stood by the window in the Gryffindor common room, gazing out at the deep night sky.

After today's classes, he stayed in the common room practicing magic in preparation for the forbidden book challenge that evening.

If caught, he would be put in solitary confinement. He wasn't afraid of being locked up, but it would delay his next plan.

I didn't realize how dangerous it was when I was reading the books, but now that I'm actually at Hogwarts and have read those books, I know how dangerous it really is.

If you don't seize the time to strengthen your capabilities, you could easily die in an accident.

The Gryffindor common room gradually became deserted.

Most of the students were already asleep, so Harry and his two companions quietly went downstairs.

The flames in the fireplace flickered gracefully, casting a soft red glow on everyone's faces.

"Alright, is everyone ready?" Moen said in a low voice, his eyes sweeping over the crowd.

This was the first time he had sneaked out at night since entering Hogwarts.

The feeling was no longer the unease of being in a strange world, but the excitement of a plan about to unfold.

"Ready?" Harry and Ron answered almost in unison, and Hermione nodded as well. Although she looked a little nervous, her eyes sparkled with curiosity and excitement: "We can finally do it tonight. I'm really excited."

"Remember, we must be careful tonight," Moen said in a low voice, his gaze serious. "Once we enter the restricted area, no matter what happens, we must remain calm. Don't let any unexpected situations disrupt our plans."

"Don't worry, we're ready." Ron tried to ease the tension, though a hint of nervousness lingered in his voice. "We're not fools who would just wander around like that."

"Are you sure this invisibility charm will work?" Hermione asked cautiously, looking at the wand in Moen's hand. "I've always felt that invisibility charms are so complicated, there might be some problems, right?"

Moen smiled slightly: "Don't worry, Hermione, I have mastered the invisibility spell. As long as I have enough magic, it won't be a problem."

Hermione forced a smile, seemingly unsure, but didn't say anything more: "Okay, I'll trust you this once."

"Everyone stand at attention, and once you're ready, we'll begin," Moen commanded in a low voice without saying another word.

Moen took a deep breath, gripped his wand tightly, concentrated, and silently chanted the spell: "Invisible, invisible, and unseen."

As the wands were waved, the four figures gradually became transparent, as if they had merged with the air, and slowly disappeared into the night.

"At least nothing went wrong." Moen sighed inwardly.

I don't know if it's because alchemy is his innate talent, but he learns many spells with extraordinary ease.

The invisibility spell wasn't difficult for him, but every time he cast it, he would unconsciously worry about whether he had enough magic power.

After all, this wasn't just a disguise on his own; it was a spell cast on four people simultaneously.

Things are going well together.

They quietly left the common lounge, deftly avoiding the patrolling senior students.

The corridors of Hogwarts were silent, with only their footsteps echoing on the empty stone floor.

Mohn followed closely behind Hermione and Harry, while Ron cautiously brought up the rear.

They evaded Filch's patrol and also managed to bypass several older students who seemed to be up to no good.

"Damn it, there are too many portraits," Moen thought to himself. Almost every corridor in Hogwarts has a portrait, and some of them have bad tempers and curse at students at night, which could easily attract Filch's attention and lead to their arrest.

Fortunately, he had mastered the invisibility spell beforehand; otherwise, just navigating these corridors would have been troublesome enough.

The corridor gradually became quieter, and they successfully arrived outside the library.

The two-meter-tall upright clock stood quietly at the corner of the stairs, a place where almost no one came and it failed to attract anyone's attention.

Moen's heart beat slightly faster. Tonight, he could finally complete the system's task, obtain a new talent, and even visit the forbidden book section to see the advanced magic inside.

He remembered that Voldemort's Horcruxes were something he had seen and learned about in the Forbidden Books.

Hermione walked over to the clock and examined it closely.

She took a deep breath, waved her wand, and whispered the spell: "Argolis!"

The clock suddenly made a soft chime, then its shape began to distort and gradually disappeared.

In an instant, a dark tunnel appeared before them.

Only those who go inside know where this tunnel leads.

"This...this really is a secret passage?" Ron's eyes widened, clearly surprised. "It looks just like the ones described in the books!"

Hermione nodded, her face beaming with excitement: "Yes, this is it. The secret passage mentioned in the book is right here."

"Great! It actually works!" Harry whispered excitedly, his eyes sparkling with curiosity and anticipation. "Let's go!"

Moen gestured for them to be quiet, since they hadn't entered the restricted book area yet.

He took a light step and was the first to enter the tunnel.

The tunnel was damp and pitch black, but the light from their wands was enough to illuminate the way ahead.

The tunnel is just high enough for one person to walk through; the space is narrow and quiet, with only the sound of footsteps echoing in the empty passage.

After walking for about a few minutes, they finally reached the end of the tunnel.

As soon as Moen stepped out of the tunnel and steadied himself, the system notification sounded.

"Ding! Mission complete. Reward: White Copy Talent x1"

Upon hearing this voice, Moen couldn't help but feel a surge of joy.

He knew he could finally begin the next step of his plan.

During his studies, he discovered the drawback of not having enough magic power, as many powerful spells require magic power to support them.

This has resulted in him lacking any decent means of attack.

During his system scans over the past few days, he also discovered that only the wand had the best attribute of enhancing magic power.

The Elder Wand, one of the three Deathly Hallows in Dumbledore's possession, is widely recognized as the most powerful wand in the entire wizarding world.

Both of the Dark Lords have confirmed its power.

If we could replicate the properties of that wand, we would be invincible among our peers and able to defeat stronger opponents with weaker ones.

"I wonder if Dumbledore always carries the Elder Wand with him." Moen's heart skipped a beat. He thought back and realized he hadn't scanned Dumbledore yet, so he wasn't sure if Dumbledore would keep the Elder Wand in his office.

"This copy must be given to the Elder Wand," Moen murmured to himself. "The system triggers missions too slowly, and Hogwarts is too dangerous."

Ron turned around and found Moen standing there motionless. He patted Moen on the shoulder and said, "What are you thinking about, Moen?"

Moen snapped out of his reverie and smiled gently. "It's nothing, let's go."
