(Third Person POV)
The Vice-Admiral clad his fist in armament haki, glaring at Mikael as his body began to transform, "A zoan, huh?" He said as he lunged at him, "I won't let you transform!"
He struck Mikael in the head, causing his large dragon head to recoil back slightly. Mikael was then in Full-Beast Form, letting out a deep growl as his wing-arms slammed into the ground. The Vice-Admiral landed on the ground and saw as the tar-like substance began to ooze out of Mikael's massive body.
Mikael glared at Caro, "That's all you got?" He said as he swung his claw at him, swiping along the ground, "Vice-Admiral Caro!!"
The claw swipe ripped apart the ground, hitting Caro, who raised his hand to defend it. He used Armament Haki to shield his arms, but the impact was hard enough to send him reeling back. Oil splattered everywhere, hitting other marines who were nearby. The shockwave of the claw swipe was enough to stagger many of them, causing them to fall prey to the hot tar.
"Arrghh!!" they shouted in pain as Mikael straightened up, "Ahhh!!"
"Is that a monster?!" a marine shouted as the imposing figure of Mikael's dragon form was before them, "What is that thing?! Is that oil coming out of his body?!"
Caro jumped into the air, using Geppo to launch himself towards Mikael's face, "You think you scare me with that?!" He said, "You're nothing but a Devil Fruit user! Haki prevails over all!"
He charged up armament haki in his right fist and shot right at Mikael's head, swinging it right on his snout. The blow struck Mikael hard, causing a powerful shockwave that shook the air as Caro clashed with Mikael. The punch splattered hot tar everywhere, sending it flying dozens of meters in the distance.
"Tch...." Mikael said, his head barely budging, "You pack quite the punch. But it's nothing compared to Rocks."
"Hm...." Caro said as he reared his left fist back, "Is that so?!"
He swung his fist at him again, charging up more armament haki. The blow struck Mikael hard but his fist began to sink into what seemed like an excessive amount of oil that began to seep from Mikael's scales.
"W-What?" Caro said as steam began to emit from Mikael's body, "More oil? What is this guy?!"
He kicked himself away from Mikael's head, seeing that his entire arm was coated in the scorching oil. If it weren't for his armament haki coating around his entire arm as a reflex, his arm would have been melted by oil
"Heavy Oil Armor'"
Caro landed on the ground, shaking his arm and getting rid of the oil on his arm, "This guy...."
Mikael straightened up, on all four of his limbs, as a massive amount of steaming oil began to seep from his body, covering most of his body. There was a mixture of white and black steam, emitting from the oil that was covering his entire body like armor. Every inch of his body, save for his lips and eyes, were covered in the thick Heavy Oil.
This was a defensive technique that the System granted Mikael, preventing any attack from seriously damaging him. Only Advanced Armament Haki was able to penetrate this armor, causing massive amounts of damage. But of course, it all depends on the Haki user.
Ganzui and Newgate both looked at this, seeing the massive figure of Mikael's Dragon Form.
"He's fighting a Vice-Admiral?" Ganzui said as he had a booger on his finger, "Who is it? That Caro fellow?"
Newgate, who was several dozen meters away from Ganzui, "Hm....." He said as a bead of sweat rolled down his cheek, "This heat.....it's because of Mikael."
Mikael was looking at Caro, "What? Scared?" He asked as he began to walk forwards, "Scared to push forward? Come now, I thought you were going to crush me!"
Mikael then swung his left arm down at the nearby marines, Heavy Oil splattering everywhere as he caught several of them in his attack. The claw ripped apart the ground, oil seeping into the fissures caused by the swipe.
Caro saw that several of his men were being burned by the oil, "Retreat!" He said, "Do not get close! If that oil touches you, you're getting burnt!"
Mikael then stood on his hind legs, "That's right." He said, his wing arms planted on the ground as his fore-limbs were raised, "You'll get burnt!! If you value your lives, you will leave as soon as possible. That includes you, Vice-Admiral!"
Caro glared at him, "Oh yea?" He said, "Bring it on! I am a Navy Vice-Admiral, I won't let some pirate bring me down!"
Mikael opened his snout, "Oh yea?" He said, "Are you sure about that? Let's see...."
His mouth glowed orange, and suddenly, a quick beam of compressed oil and flames shot right at Caro. The Vice-Admiral used his Observation Haki to become aware of the attack, jumping away to avoid the beam.
The beam hit the ground, pooling the massive amount of oil on the ground, swelling up as flames sprouted on it. The oil began to glow brightly as it erupted into an explosion, burning oil flying everywhere and hitting the other pools of heavy oil that were spread throughout the area. All of them combusted into flames, spreading all throughout the area and catching some of the marines ablaze.
"What!" Caro said as he used Geppo to jump into the air, feeling the tense heat of the fire, "No, dammit! Retreat! Retreat, fuck's sake!!"
Mikael looked at Caro, an unsettling chuckle escaping his maw, "You lot ain't so tough now, are you?" He said, "You punk-ass bitch!!"
Caro glared at him, "That's it...." He said, "I'm going to get you!!"
"Bring it!" Mikael said, "Try to get me!"
Mikael fired another oil beam at the marines, causing yet another explosion as they scattered about, screaming in panic. As this happened, the other Navy Ships were making landfall, more reinforcements were arriving. Mikael had spread his burning out throughout the area, covering hundreds of meters in a matter of seconds.
Then, the System Screen appeared in front of Mikael's face:
[Task Completed: Defeat 100 Marines]
- Rewards: Reduced Stamina Use While In Full-Beast Form
"Good." He thought to himself, "If I can keep this up-"
His train of thought was interrupted by Caro striking him hard on the top of the head, and more oil splattering everywhere.
"Fuck you!!!" Caro shouted with pure anger, "I'll show you!!!"
Mikael's head was jerked downwards slightly, feeling the impact cushioned by his oil armor. This time, he knew that Caro was using more haki to his attacks, trying to bypass his ability.
"Hm...." He said, "Here we go....."
"Let the real fight begin."
