Hearing Kakashi's question, Rin calmed her racing heart before looking up at him.
"Really?" Kakashi asked, his voice filled with surprise and relief. He hadn't expected the Rock Ninja to survive. Before losing consciousness, he had witnessed the enemy being struck by the full force of his Wind Release technique in Divine Wind Valley.
He had assumed the mission had failed and history had been altered. But it seemed everything was still on track.
"Yes! Kakashi, you were unconscious for two days. The Rock Ninja lost an arm but has already been discharged from the hospital. He even represented the Rock Ninja in signing a peace treaty with Konoha! We don't have to fight anymore!" Rin nodded, her eyes shining with joy as she spoke to Kakashi. Having been on the battlefield since childhood, she had long yearned for peace.
"That's right! No more fighting!" Kakashi smiled softly, his expression mirroring Rin's happiness.
Yet Kakashi knew in his heart that achieving lasting peace for Konoha wouldn't be so easy. At least next year, the Nine-Tailed Beast would attack, followed by a war with the Cloud Ninja. Only then would a brief era of peace begin, which wouldn't last long. After Naruto and his classmates graduated from the Ninja Academy, turmoil would gradually return. Of course, these were events yet to come.
"Kakashi, did you know? The village is going to elect the Fourth Hokage soon! Our teacher has a really good chance of becoming the Fourth Hokage too! So many people in the village support him!"

"I heard Lord Jiraiya adamantly refused to become the Fourth Hokage. Teacher said the village elders have decided to send someone to find Lady Tsunade. If they have no results after a month, Teacher will officially become the Fourth Hokage!" Rin exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
This information had been shared with her by Minato Namikaze himself, details about the elders' decisions that ordinary Konoha villagers wouldn't have access to.
"Hmm?" Kakashi's heart skipped a beat. *This changes everything,* he thought. He had already planned to search for Tsunade, and now he had an official mission to do so!
