A resolute glint flashed in Kakashi's eyes as his aura abruptly shifted, becoming as sharp and menacing as a drawn blade. In this critical moment, he finally unleashed the true Hatake Three-Blade Technique—a secret art of the Hatake Clan that consumed vast amounts of Chakra to execute.
"Blade Draw: Thunder Slash!"
*Clang!*
With lightning speed, Kakashi drew his katana from its sheath with both hands, slashing upward toward Kamikaze Valley. The instant the blade emerged, an even more ferocious aura coalesced around Kakashi, as sharp as a razor's edge. Where his figure passed, Kamikaze Valley's Wind Release techniques parted like paper, sliced cleanly in two.
"How is this possible...?"
Seeing his advanced Wind Release techniques so easily cleaved apart by Kakashi's mere movement, Kamikaze Valley's pupils constricted sharply, and he involuntarily gasped in shock.
Simultaneously, Kamikaze Valley sensed an overwhelming aura of danger emanating from Kakashi. The blade hurtling toward him sent a tremor through his very soul.
*Such a powerful attack! Such a domineering strike!*
*What kind of swordsmanship is this...?*
Kamikaze Valley was stunned, but he reacted swiftly, leaping backward to evade Kakashi's strike. He had no confidence in blocking that blade!
In all his years of combat experience, he had never encountered such a relentlessly aggressive and domineering sword technique.
As his feet left the ground, Kamikaze Valley glanced at Kakashi, who was already less than a meter away. He felt a surge of relief, realizing his combat experience had saved him. An ordinary Jonin might not have been able to fully evade such a sudden, bizarrely powerful attack.
*Swoosh!*
Kamikaze Valley watched as Kakashi's blade slashed down, the edge slicing through the air with a piercing whistle.
*Pfft!*
"How is this possible...?"
A searing pain shot through Kamikaze Valley's left shoulder to his right chest, followed by a spray of blood. He was shocked—Kakashi's blade hadn't even touched him, yet he had been cut!
"Damn it! My body reacted too slowly because of my earlier injuries. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been hit!"
Though the wound was minor, Kamikaze Valley cursed inwardly. He had already lost a significant amount of blood chasing the pair after his battle with "Dragon." With this new injury, if he couldn't stop them from escaping quickly, his life might be in danger!
Even his vision was starting to blur.
"Ah!"
Mizuru couldn't evade Kamikaze Valley's Wind Release technique. Several wind blades sliced through his body, and a bloodcurdling scream echoed through the air.
Though his vision blurred, Kamikaze Valley saw Mizuru's arm severed clean off.
"Withdraw!"
The moment his vision began to blur, Kamikaze Valley felt a surge of anger and frustration. He leaped back and fled, realizing that if Konoha's last remaining Anbu was this strong, staying would only put him in danger.
Kamikaze Valley had initially been confident he could kill both of them even with his injuries, but Kakashi's prowess forced him to retreat immediately.
After all, his mission was already accomplished: assassinating the Iwa-nin envoy sent to Konoha to sign the peace treaty.
The only consequence would be the label of a rogue ninja.
With his advanced Wind Release technique, Kamikaze Valley was certain Mizuru couldn't have survived.
He vowed to avenge this defeat against Konoha's Anbu later.
*Wolf,* Kamikaze Valley etched Kakashi's codename into his memory.
*Thud.* Shortly after Kamikaze Valley's departure, Kakashi collapsed, his chakra and stamina completely depleted. He fell unconscious.
That final strike had been the last of Kakashi's strength.
Unfortunately, Kamikaze Valley hadn't realized this, assuming that a Konoha Anbu Jonin-level ninja couldn't possibly have such weak chakra reserves.

When Kakashi opened his eyes again, he immediately knew he wasn't dead. He looked around in surprise, taking in the familiar surroundings.
"This is... Konoha Hospital!"
Kakashi quickly recognized his location and relaxed his guard. Being in Konoha Hospital meant he was safe.
He tried to sit up, but when he moved his leg, he realized a small figure was lying across it. Who else could it be but Rin?
Seeing Rin's tired, delicate face, Kakashi knew she had been caring for him. A pang of guilt and warmth stirred in his heart.
"Ah! Kakashi, you're awake!"
Kakashi's movement startled Rin awake. Her eyes lit up with joy as she saw him.
"Rin! Thank you!"
Seeing Rin's genuine happiness at his awakening, Kakashi couldn't help but express his gratitude.
Despite her exhaustion, Kakashi found her even more beautiful than usual.
"No... no need to thank me. I'm just so glad you're okay, Kakashi!"
Under Kakashi's gaze, Rin blushed deeply and lowered her head, her heart pounding wildly.
She realized Kakashi was getting closer to her.
Hearing that Rin was only thinking of him, Kakashi felt deeply moved once more. However, he needed to understand the situation first.
"Rin, how did I get back to Konoha?" Kakashi asked.
"Teacher brought you back!" Rin replied.
"Teacher..." Kakashi murmured, surprised. He hadn't expected Minato Namikaze to come to his rescue. Had the Third Hokage sensed something was wrong and called for Minato?
"Did Teacher bring back only me?" Kakashi quickly asked, ignoring how Minato had come to his rescue. *That Iwa-nin isn't dead, is he?*
Kakashi knew from the original timeline that Iwa and Konoha had successfully signed a peace treaty. He worried his time-travel might have altered this crucial event.
This was his greatest concern.
He knew little about the historical events leading up to the main plot, only the general course of history. If that timeline had been changed, he would lose his advantage of knowing the future.
