I Came back in a hurry and gave the doctor the 10m gold.

I was truly greatful that milia gave me the money, she was a hot tempered women but she was no doubt very kind.
I... Still remember the ringing sound my ears made when she slapped me like that.
Not once not twice but 3 whole times.

But there was no point in dwelling on such worthless things.
I should concentrate on getting a better pace first and than finding a perminant job which can help us maintain that house.
So went out, looking for good houses with cheap rent to live in.
Most of the good one's costed 5 silver a week, while the better ones costed 7 a week.
I Decided to look for houses that costed barely 5 silver a day and found some good ones.
Since i had 5 extra gold, i could use around 50 silvers to pay the deposit.
And that i did.
The main problem was to find a job that didn't exhaust me to the brim yet paid a good amount of money.
What would be good enough for that?

And... after relentless findings i finally found one.
A job that pays well and doesn't require longer hours.
An hourly pay of 1 silver, with a max 3 to 4 hour shift.
The contract lasts an year and if i breach it... ill have to pay 2 gold coins.
So... if i get into the job... that means there was no getting out of it for the next year...
That was the problem here.
Because... the place i was going to work for such a good pay was ofcourse...
the underground drainage system.
A place that nobody wishes to work in their lives and i was the same...
but, it's a necessary sacrifice.
Getting 1 silver for an hour of work and working 4 hours a day.
That means i'd be earning exactly 1 gold a month which is what i exactoy need to survive the month.
so... i made a decision.
"I'd like to work for this company."
When i said that and gave her the paper, she stared at me for a bit.
and than opened her mouth again.
"Here you go, just show it to the drainage cleaning branch and they'll give you the necessary uniform and equipment."
"Thank you!"
I bowed my head and started walking towards the drainage cleaning branch.
Well... this is how my life's gonna be fir the next 1 year... that too if I'm lucky and my sister who hates me very much doesn't decide to discard me after she get's a good job.

After she did all the formalities, she looked at me and gave a warm smile.
"Welcome to the DCS, We look forward to working with you."

"As written, You'll be paid 1 silver an hour and your shift will be from 12-4 and sometimes until 5 aswell. Monday to friday, You'll work 4 hours, with saturday abd sunday You'll work 5. After your work is done, you can freshen up in the bathrooms that the company provides. You may start work whenever you feel fit."
"Than... I'll start today!"
"Ooh! Very well than. Have a nice day, Vade Lintall. Wait for a bit and I'll bring you your temperory equipment and uniform."

The smell, the insects and than...
blegh! everything about that was disgustingly disturbing.
Having to clean sewers every day like this... it's going to be hard.
It does appear that i have a break on Tuesdays but except for that... there's nothing noteworthy.
After finishing my work, i took the 4 silver coins and went home.
On the way i got some groceries with a smile on my face as i remembered that mom would now be alright.
She'd be in the hospital for a bit but... once she get's discharged, we can have some fun every tuesday.
also... I'll need to be honest with her about... me getting cicked out of the party.

I had to sleep alone today as my mother wasn't home.
I somewhat cried myself to sleep as i thought of the memories i had together with them along with the fact that i was slapped repeatedly by Amelia.
After i got up and got ready, i went straight to work.
It was a 5 hour shift daily and i was quite looking forward to it.

I walked back home feeling nausious as i thought of the insane drainage smell.
"Aah, I'm sorry!"
As i was walking, I bumped into someone as i was thinking deeply about what happened.
It turned out to be a beautiful women, who smiled kindly at me as she stated
"Aah! It's fine!"
And left.

I thought to myself as i thought of her smile.

Amelia asked her maid.
"He's working, and his mother seems completely fine. He hasn't tried contacting us since he left 2 months ago... I'm sure, he's no longer a threat to us madam."
"Well... that's true but keep an eye just in case."

Milia opened the door and walked into the room with a bright smile.
"You look happy!"
Amelia stated.
Grinning, Milia answered.

"Haa! This battle maniac! We have a quest, It's an important quest, there appears to be a giant monster in the sewers of Akeline City."

"Aah, Rachel... Pack your stuff, we have a quest to take care of."

She stated as she went back to her room
"Tell Chloe and clara aswell!!"

She nodded her head and went to the 2nd floor.
"Hey... Akeline village... isn't that the hometown of that guy?"
