Chapter 11 - CHAP-9:THE END OF THE WORLD

Today is the 18th.

In her previous life, the Zombie virus outbreak was on the 20th.

She returned to the hotel where she was staying. Her room was already piled high with things. She had greeted the front desk, and had someone to deliver the items, opened the door, and put them inside. By now, the tables, floor, and bed inside were all full of things. There was also a lot of hot fried chicken.

Ashira waved her hand, and one by one, she collected these into her space. She would stay here for the night and leave the next day. What she had spent money on couldn't be wasted.

Before falling asleep, Ashira first did three hours of physical training, exhausted herself to the extreme, broke through her physical limits, then took a shower, and finally checked the surveillance of her air-raid shelter and the warehouse before preparing to sleep.

Both sides were very safe, she spoke a couple of words with Storm using a video robot, told it to watch the things carefully, and that she would return early tomorrow morning.

Strom responded very humanely, then obediently watched the things from its dog bed in the warehouse.

Ashira slept soundly at the hotel until six o'clock the next day. She was woken up by the sound of blaring police cars and ambulances.

The hotel she was staying in was in the city center, with excellent soundproofing, but she was quite sensitive and would wake up at the slightest disturbance.

The moment she heard the sirens, she rushed to the windowsill. Pulling back the curtains and looking down, there were indeed countless blaring police cars and ambulances on the street.

Not far from the hotel she was staying at were crowded bars and entertainment venues, and these police cars and ambulances were coming and going from there.

She saw an ambulance parked in front of the bar she had seen yesterday, and several blood-soaked people were being carried out from inside.

A bad thought slowly formed in Ashira's mind...

Before she could dwell on it, a hurried footsteps echoed in the hallway, followed by urgent knocking on her door.

Ashira's hand instinctively reached for the shovel she kept nearby. She gripped it tightly, her body tense as she approached the door. She peered through the peephole.

It was just the hotel staff.

Her shoulders eased slightly, though her expression stayed guarded. Her appearance gave nothing away. No injuries, no blood, no sign of panic. Her face was calm, composed, almost too normal.

"What is it?" she asked, her tone steady.

"Miss, I'm a housekeeping. " the woman said from the other side. "We've received reports from several guests saying they've fainted and need help. Are you alright?"

Ashira replied through the door. "I'm fine."

"Understood, Miss. Please stay in your room for now," the staff said politely. "The hotel will extend your rest time for free. Sorry for the disturbance!"

After that, the footsteps moved on to the next room.

Ashira lowered the shovel but didn't put it down. Her eyes narrowed slightly.

Something wasn't right. The apocalypse… it might've arrived early! Must leave!

Without wasting another second, she grabbed her car keys and headed for the door. But before leaving, she quickly swept the room, snatching up every free bottle of water, drink, and toiletry she could find. Anything could be useful later.

As she opened the door, her eyes caught sight of the housekeeper at the far end of the hallway.

The Staff earlier was standing outside a room, knocking repeatedly.

"Hello? Housekeeping!"

No one answered.

After a few seconds, the staff took out the room card and swiped it.

The door clicked open.

Ashira slowed her steps just enough to watch and the moment the door creaked wide, she saw the housekeeper step inside. Ashira's instincts screamed. Something about that silence behind the door… felt something's wrong.

Soon, she heard a hurried voice echo through the hallway.

"Mr.? Mr.! What's wrong with you!?"

"Room 809! A guest has fainted! come quickly!"

The Staff's panicked voice carried through her headset as she called for backup.

Ashira didn't stay to watch. She quickened her pace, striding straight toward the elevator. The moment she stepped into the empty elevator going down, the other elevator beside it dinged open.

A group of hotel staff rushed out, their faces pale, heading straight for the farthest guest room. Just as the elevator doors slid shut in front of her, Ashira caught one last sound from the corridor

A scream so sharp it pierced the silence.

"Ah—!"

This familiar sound.

Her reflection on the elevator door flickered faintly, Ashira felt a chill crawl down her spine.

The Zombie virus has broken out early! Ashira looked at the descending elevator and decisively pressed the Fifth Floor button!

She didn't go to the reception hall on the First Floor!

This was a hotel building connected to a shopping mall. From the second basement level up to the Fifth Floor were large shopping malls, the one that she visited yesterday!

It was six o'clock now, and the mall was closed.

The earliest batch of employees wouldn't arrive until eight o'clock. So now the mall area was the real deserted zone Apocalypse Zombies, the most dangerous thing is crowds! Must escape the crowds!

Ashira decisively got off on the Fifth Floor.

As expected, the Fifth Floor of the mall was dark at this moment. The lights weren't even on at all.

But after entering the Fifth Floor hall, she could clearly hear people screaming outside!

She glanced out the window, and indeed, riots had already appeared on the street.

She personally saw on a nearby street, a blood-soaked Man. rushing out of the bar and pouncing on a woman who was passing by. He lunged directly at the woman's abdomen. After knocking her down, he bit into her stomach with large bites.

The woman howled in pain, but couldn't stop the Man from tearing at her insides. His face was covered in blood from biting, his bloody mouth like a wild beast devouring the woman's heart and lungs raw.

"Ah—"

"Ah—"

At seven in the morning, there weren't many people in the city center, only police cars and ambulances were working.

After seeing the incident, a police car immediately stopped and went to drag and restrain that Man. The woman who had just been rescued lay motionless in a pool of blood, her skin pale and lips faintly blue.

At first, no one noticed the small, unnatural tremor in her fingers. Then her arm twitched.

Once.

Twice.

Faster and stronger until her entire body began to shake uncontrollably. And then, she went still.

"Miss? Miss, are you ok..."

"...Ow—"

The rescuers froze.

The woman's eyes snapped open, dull and clouded like glass, no trace of life left in them.

Before the staff could react, she lunged forward, sinking her teeth deep into the neck of the one who tried to help her.

A sharp scream tore through the hallway.

"Ahhh—!"

Blood splattered across the walls as the rest of the staff stumbled back in shock. Within seconds, panic exploded through the corridor.

The scene descended into chaos.

Ashira watched everything through the fifth-floor window. The screaming, the blood, the chaos spreading like wildfire.

This was it.

This was the apocalypse. The one she knew too well.

The one she had already lived through once before. It had indeed arrived early. A whole day early.

Ashira turned and ran towards the Fifth Floor. She wanted to leave via the escalator down to the B2 parking lot below, avoiding all elevators!

As she ran into the empty mall, the dazzling array of goods in front of her caught her attention.

Supplies!

How could she pass by a treasure trove empty-handed!Even if she left, she had to take everything here!

Just then, a voice sounded in her mind.

[Ding—Super Lord System activated!]

[Limited time 2 hours, for every 10,000 yuan worth of supplies collected and carried, reward one cubic meter of personal space!]

Ashira, holding a baseball bat: "!!!"

You are truly a divine assist!

With a "crash!"

The glass in front of Ash was smashed.

Ashira rushed in and spread her hands. Anything her hands touched disappeared out of thin air. Directly entering her space!

Ashira completely didn't care if the surveillance would capture her at this moment. Because, there really was no need anymore!

It's the apocalypse, who the hell would still check surveillance for things!

[Ding—Detected 279 pieces of women's fashion, value 650,000, rewarding 65 cubic meters!]

[Ding—Detected 144 pieces of men's fashion, value 580,000, rewarding 58 cubic meters!]

[Ding—Detected 489 pieces of branded wedding dresses, value 1,890,000, rewarding 189 cubic meters!]

Whether it was men's wear, women's wear, children's wear, underwear, shoes, socks, bags, or wedding dresses and gowns.

Ashira wanted everything!

Moreover, scavenging for supplies this time was much more satisfying than the first time she moved! No matter how clean she picked her home, it was only a little bit of stuff. This time, the rewards were off the charts!

Any random store was worth hundreds of thousands or millions! Looting store by store.

Wherever she went, it was as clean as it could be!
