It was a crisp autumn of twilight, the kind where the leaves danced in shades of orange and gold, and the air was filled with the scent of dried leaves and barbeque. While me, Tenya and Tensei nii-san was engrossed in the discussion about his reason being a hero. Suddenly, I heard the familiar sound of my parents' laughter drifting near the table and the grill where the adults are. It was a sound that always made me feel warm and safe. I glanced up, curious about what was making them so cheerful. Me, Tenya and Tensei nii-san approach with curiosity toward the table, where I found them huddled together, whispering and giggling like kids.
Mom? Dad? What's going on?" I asked, my curiosity piqued.
They turned to me, their faces glowing with excitement. My mom's eyes sparkled, and my dad had a grin that stretched from ear to ear. "We have something to tell you," my mom said, her voice a mix of joy and anticipation.
"What is it?" I asked, my heart racing. I could sense that whatever it was, it was quite a surprise seeing the reaction of Tenya and Tensei nii-san parents. My dad knelt down to my level, his expression serious yet playful. "You're going to be a big brother!"
A wave of emotions washed over me—excitement, confusion, and a hint of nervousness. I had always imagined what it would be like to have a sibling, but now that it was quite a surreal, I didn't know how to feel. I thought about it for a moment, imagining myself showing a little brother or sister teaching and reading him stories or play video games. The idea started to grow on me. "Can I help pick out names?" I asked, my excitement bubbling up "Of course!" my dad said, his eyes twinkling. "We'll need your help with everything. You'll be a part of this journey from the very beginning." The embers in my heart continues to grow as I watch everyone with a smile, protect them to the best I can.
With a new source of dedication, I wake up early to train myself specially with my quirk. Last year I'm having trouble with my quirk. I can create various objects temporarily but by playing safely will limit my potential and this is not the fighting style I want. This haunted me until I was looking at a copy of my submitted quirk registration form which the mutation part are not tick this led to my thinking that quirks are normally hereditary which means my quirk is the combination of my parents quirk and compliment each other rather than a different element in the case of mutation. Such examples are Todoroki Shoto and Bakugou Katsuki. Todoroki Shoto's quirk is half -Cold Half-Hot (半はん冷れい半はん燃ねん, Hanrei Han'nen): Shoto's Quirk gives him the ability to generate ice from the right side of his body, and flames from his left side. His father Todoroki Enji's quirk is hellflame which generates fire while her mother Todoroki Rei's quirk is frost which contrary generates ice. Each of those quirk has a demerit when used too much this result to a harmony between two quirks the same case with Bakugou Katsuki, his mother Mitsuki, has the "Glycerin" quirk, which allows her to secrete glycerin from her skin, and his father, Masaru, has the "Oxidizing Sweat" quirk, which makes his palms secrete acidic sweat that can cause minor explosions when rubbed together. The combination of their quirks resulted in a child who can forcibly secrete nitroglycerin in his sweat and ignite it. This is in contrast to Eri "Rewind" quirk, which resulted from a rare genetic mutation.
Upon noticing such difference, I try to conjure a large cloth, I imagine the inside of cloth with a substance that can expand and shrink space without affecting the objects inside. I tried it multiple times and it took me months to succeed and increase the proficiency of summoning it including the test of putting objects inside if it will be affected. This is another challenge that I want to do as an understanding of my mother's quirk. With such trial and error, I manage to accomplish it with such grace and named it as Fun Fun cloth "Mysterious Convenient Kerchief".
Such accomplishment will encourage me to do my best. The next projects include memory gun which was inspired by the phantom troupe Pakunoda. By conjuring a gun that was made by a substance that can captures recent memories which can be achieved through questioning including the conjured bullets made by a substance that can erase or share specific memories. These memory bullets can't cause injury but a tool for me in case of necessity for my succeeding projects.
4 years has passed, as I look myself in the mirror my ash grey hair and viridian eyes with my face as I put my usual uniform but this time it's a pant since and I'm already a 1st year middle school. When I went downstairs to eat my breakfast, I saw mom and dad was already at the kitchen with my younger brother, Kazehaya Daichi which was consider as a blessing and a trickster in this family. When Daichi was born, my parents experience their first time of what a real baby is 😂😂😂.
The sun had barely risen when my mother Hana heard the soft whimpering from the crib across the room. She blinked away the remnants of sleep and glanced at the clock. It was 3:00 AM. With a sigh, she swung her legs over the side of the bed and padded across the cool wooden floor to her newborn sons's room. As she approached the crib, the whimpering escalated into a full-blown cry. Hana's heart raced then panicked. She had read all the books, attended the classes, and felt prepared since it's the second time around, but nothing could truly prepare her for the reality of caring for a true newborn. She reached down and gently lifted little Daichi into her arms, cradling him against her chest. The warmth of the baby's body against her felt comforting, but the weight of responsibility loomed large.
"Shh, it's okay, sweet baby," Hana whispered, rocking him back and forth. Daichi's cries softened, but they didn't stop. Hana glanced at the clock again, realizing it was time for the baby's feeding. She settled into the rocking chair, a cozy spot in the corner of the room, and began the familiar routine. Such experience is a common occurrence the same with my dad.
One morning, Ren my father, woke up to find her already awake, sipping coffee and staring blankly at the wall. He could see the fatigue etched on her face. "Hey, you okay?" he asked, concern lacing his voice.
"Just tired," she replied, forcing a smile. "I think Daichi is going through a growth spurt. He was up every hour last night."
Ren nodded, understanding the toll that sleepless nights could take. "Why don't I take the morning shift? You can catch up on some sleep."
Hana's heart swelled with gratitude. "Are you sure? I don't want to put everything on you."
"Of course, I'm sure. We're in this together," he reassured her.
One evening, as they sat on the couch with Daichi nestled between them, Hana looked at Ren and said, "I never knew it could be this hard, Sora was quite easy to handle I never knew such trouble for a trickster." My father who experience the same nodded with a tired face "Sora was a quiet kid just staring around but will cry if he needs something. It was less struggle but more on emotional since it's difficult to grasp his behavior in comparison with Daichi which is physical".
I was there and tease them with you try again next and see what challenge will the next baby will provide which makes them laugh even if they look tired but contented.
