(Recap & Intro)
Three months had passed since the Demon War of Athiria City.
The world was no longer the same.
On television, the reporter spoke in a grim voice:
"It has been three months since the demon attack on Athiria City.
The entire world now knows what demons are…
but no one has discovered why they attacked."
The scene shifted to a long hospital corridor.
Jay walked out of the hospital gates, his body healed but his heart still heavy.
Outside, Dhruv stopped him.
"Jay," Dhruv said seriously.
"You're incredibly powerful. You should join the Devil Slayer Team."
A short recap of Season 1 played across the screen—Jay's awakening, Arjun's death, the reawakening of his father…
Then Season 2's intro began.
After the intro, Jay finally replied,
"No. I can't join the Devil Slayer Team."
Without another word, he walked away.
Scene: Jay's Room
Jay sat at his computer, researching something intensely.
Just then, his phone buzzed.
"All hunters must report tomorrow to the Hunters Association Headquarters for power testing."
Later that night, Jay and his sister ate dinner quietly.
She looked at him and asked gently,
"Jay… you have your power test tomorrow, right?"
Jay nodded.
"Yeah. Why?"
She smiled softly.
"No reason. I just wanted to wish you… all the best."
Jay froze for a second, then smiled back.
Next Morning – Hunters Association Headquarters
Jay walked toward the main gate.
There, a boy struggled to open the automatic hunter gate.
Jay said calmly,
"The gate opens like this…"
The boy's eyes widened.
"Thanks! My name is Kabir."
"Jay," he replied.
Both walked inside together.
On stage, an instructor announced loudly:
"Hunters who wish to remain hunters, move to the LEFT.
Those who do not wish to continue, move to the RIGHT."
Jay and Kabir walked to the right, surprising everyone.
The test officially began.
Test 1: Punching Test
Kabir stepped up first.
He punched with full force—
CRACK!
The punching bag tore open instantly.
Everyone stared.
Jay walked toward the next punching device.
He lightly tapped it.
The bag didn't move… not even a little.
People laughed under their breath.
Jay and Kabir moved to the next stage.
Not far away, a familiar face from the Athiria battlefield—Ishita—watched silently.
A few moments later…
BOOOOM!
The punching bag behind Jay suddenly exploded into pieces.
Ishita's eyes widened.
What…? Was that his real power?
She walked straight toward Jay.
"My name is Ishita," she said firmly.
"And I want to fight you."
Kabir immediately stepped forward.
"I don't want to fight you."
Ishita stared blankly at him.
"Was I talking to you?"
Dhruv arrived, watching the scene unfold.
Jay smirked lightly.
"Fine… but I'll fight you with just one hand."
Ishita's blood boiled in anger.
She launched forward with a powerful punch—
Jay casually dodged, moving effortlessly.
He raised a single finger for a light counter—
But Kabir suddenly stepped in between them.
Jay's finger strike accidentally grazed Kabir's chest.
WHOOSH—THUD!!
Kabir flew across the hall, slamming into the wall.
Blood spilled from his mouth.
Ishita froze in horror.
If that hit me… I wouldn't have survived…
Is he really that powerful?
Dhruv stepped beside her and whispered:
"The one you're looking at…
is the most powerful person here."
Ishita couldn't breathe for a moment—her mind blank.
And the chapter ended right there.
