A few hours after that incident, Ariel was sitting atop a tree in the usual area she and the rest of her friends would usually meet him, But Jairo simply was not there.
this began to get weird. Ariel pondered in her mind when this happened and wondered. 'how long does this boy intend to sleep?'
then again he should probably have been
cut some slack, after all he keeps having to push his body to the limits to maybe have it better than the average man with the help of luck.
maybe the realisation that he wasn't going to actually have been in danger had already prompted him to rest. maybe it was just for a few more hours.
either way it was dumb. not only would she not be there to protect him in his new residence, a small village connected to one of the bigger werewolf kingdom of Glimmerwick. no other races would dare step to or attack any village there.
It is said that the royal family there can draw power from the moonlight itself, use it as a weapon and much much more.
but seeing as he was not here, it seemed she would have to drag him. 'why oh why is my husband so disobedient?'
she liked playing it cool, waiting for him to come to her. Now that it had backfired, Jairo was sure to pay for it.
as she jumped down from the tree and hit the ground, she took off, blazing past even more. as they passed like blurry background pieces in her peripheral, she began thinking about last night unknowingly.
being next to him, watching as he seemed to struggle to find the right words to say, and trying to help him with other things, even seeing his new and more bold side was a nice refreshment.
so when she played down with him it felt like a fantasy that was not real. the only reason she had even left was because of a fear of getting caught in his bed. unfortunately she had a reputation to uphold.
if not for that, he would have had to physically pull her off. she did not care about the random people, but her parents were going to be disappointed.
as much as she brushed off her father, having a parent who begins to lower the faith they put in you is heartbreaking. She has an example to set.
but all was well. no matter what, when she took over and was in charge, her parents would be old buggers. She will then swoop in and save her man.
before knowing it, she had waltzed into his home. his bed was cold. so he must have been walking around. surely he'd be back to pick up his...sword?
she turned to the place that he had put it that night. It wasn't there either.
"he left?" she exclaimed in shock. 'then why wasn't he with me already?'
the realization quickly took shape in her head. something was off.
she ran outside, moving through the crowd withe the grace to not knock anyone over, but just barely. she saw a certain group of people crowd over an alleyway and shoved a few people to the side to see what was wrong.
she then pointes someone out and asked him. "hey, so you know why anyone is here?"
the young man replied. "yes. there was a fight. one werewolf pinned another to the wall with a plate. someone who seemed important told everyone to watch. the story is spreading like wildfire."
Ariel began putting the pieces together, before interrupting his sentence. "was he injured?"
"yes."
Ariel waisted no time in sprinting to her grandmother. She would know exactly what was happening.
