Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Imprisonment

Era 2137, Germany, Berlin, Solar System Federation Committee Secret Police Headquarters in Berlin.

"Ughhh... What the hell is this?! They actually dared to chase us to Berlin?! I'll ******* his *****!"

These people were truly bold.

Throwing a tantrum in Keon City was one thing.

But to have the guts to chase them to Berlin?

Obviously, angering the Berlin police and government officials does them no good, but these people didn't seem to understand that. And this time, they actually hit the Solar System Federation Committee's Secret Police Headquarters! Good lord, these militants are so bold, pointing their spear directly at the Solar System Federation Committee! Who gave them the nerve?!

However, the militants didn't seem to launch any further attacks.

This confused Joseph and the others. Usually, wouldn't these militants concentrate fire immediately after a bombing? Why was there no action this time? Were they afraid?

Of course not.

Honestly, Joseph couldn't figure it out either. Did they think a single bomb could wipe out the whole base? These militants were too naive. There were many ridiculous things these days, but this was the first time he had seen such a strange train of thought. He had expected a fierce battle to be unavoidable.

However, he spoke too soon.

Joseph and the others cautiously looked out from the main gate. There really was no one, or rather, no "militants" outside. Finally, they walked carefully onto the street. Their hands were on their waists, ready to draw their pistols at any moment. However, after wandering the streets for about half an hour without seeing a single enemy, everyone lowered their guard slightly.

They sat down in a café.

"Your bunch of **** isn't any better... Besides, who chats about family matters like you do... *** giving no face at all..." A group of German drunkards were babbling in the tavern opposite. The difference compared to this quiet café was truly stark. Everyone ordered a cup of coffee and began to "express their opinions."

"Friends, this bombing is definitely not simple. It gives me a feeling that the comer is not friendly!"

"I feel the same way, but I can't say exactly why. After all, no one can say clearly who is making trouble behind the scenes. We didn't see the insignia on the plane that dropped the bomb, nor can we confirm if it was a militant aircraft. Other probabilities are also high," Belgrade echoed Judy's statement.

At this moment, a man in a suit sitting at Table 8 turned his head to look at the squad members sitting at Table 2. Then, he said something into a walkie-talkie and hurriedly left the café.

"It looks like you guys don't think today's events are very strange?" Kazumiko walked toward the table with her coffee.

"Is there anything else strange? Didn't we already discuss all the strange things just now?" Edward said to her with a smile.

"You guys didn't see the signal primer trigger mechanism of that bunker-buster bomb, nor the markings and the letters carved on it. But I saw them clearly!"

Good heavens, the war just ended, bombs are flying everywhere. Which country doesn't have some inventory? Who knows, maybe they just decided to use this area as a test zone today? Besides, there's no way to determine if the militants dropped it. Words are wind; they didn't have solid evidence to prove anything.

"Marking: LDH---7 and Regan-type trigger fuse."

A simple sentence gave everyone a huge fright.

What the hell? That bomb model was a special bomb model of the Solar System Federation Committee?

Everyone didn't believe it now, but they would soon believe Kazumiko's words.

In an instant, several masked men carrying submachine guns rushed into the café. The muzzles of their submachine guns were already aimed at the five squad members and Kazumiko. Their seasoned appearance did not look like untrained militants at all.

Everyone was startled and subconsciously pulled out their sidearms.

But after seeing their shoulder badges, everyone slowly lowered their pistols and raised their hands above their heads.

They were the Secret Police of the Solar System Federation Committee.

Subsequently, they were handcuffed and hoodwinked. These police officers unceremoniously knocked them out with electric batons and threw them into police cars.

Just before passing out, Joseph couldn't understand why their own people were arresting them. After all, their badges, nameplates, and pistols should have been enough to prove their identities.
