Sophia and Prince Henry huddled in the small, cramped room, their eyes scanning the documents Alexander had given them. The words danced across the page, revealing a web of deceit and corruption that went all the way to the top.
"This is insane," Prince Henry breathed, his face white with shock. "The Queen is behind everything - the attacks on our family, the corruption, the murders..."
Sophia's eyes were wide with horror. "But why? What does she gain from all this?"
Alexander's face was grim. "Power, of course. And wealth. She's been secretly meeting with foreign dignitaries, offering them trade agreements and alliances in exchange for their support. She's even gone so far as to sell out our kingdom's secrets to the highest bidder."
Sophia's stomach churned with disgust. "She's a monster."
Prince Henry's eyes were cold and hard. "We have to stop her. We have to expose her for what she is."
Alexander nodded. "I agree. But we'll need proof. And we'll need to be careful. The Queen has a network of spies and informants everywhere. She'll stop at nothing to keep her secrets safe."
Sophia's mind was racing. "I think I know someone who can help us. Someone who's been trying to get our attention for weeks now."
Prince Henry's eyes narrowed. "Who?"
Sophia's lips curled into a small smile. "James. The guard who helped us escape the palace. I think he's been trying to tell us something all along."
Alexander's eyes lit up with interest. "That's a great lead. Let's go talk to him."
As they made their way to the meeting point, Sophia couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. The Queen's eyes seemed to be everywhere, and Sophia knew they had to be careful.
They arrived at the meeting point, a small café on the outskirts of the city. James was already there, sipping a cup of coffee and looking nervous.
"Sophia, Prince Henry," he said, standing up as they approached. "I didn't think you'd make it."
Sophia smiled. "We had a little help. This is Alexander, our... associate."
James nodded, his eyes flicking to Alexander and back to Sophia. "I see. Well, I have some information that might interest you. The Queen is planning something big. Something that could change the course of the kingdom's history."
Prince Henry's eyes narrowed. "What is it?"
James leaned in, his voice barely above a whisper. "She's planning to sign a treaty with a foreign power, giving them control over our kingdom's resources and military. She's going to sell us out, and there's nothing we can do to stop her... or so she thinks."
