~Soutarou POV~
'Let's test my theory fully… If they think I'm Soutarou Takashina…. Then we'll just fake it till we make it!'
Soutarou's eyes fully lit up with physic energy and his Viridian power spread out as he shifted his stance to a full combat stance. At the same time his hands began forming an Aura Sphere while he mentally communicated with Ralts on how to form it and launched it straight at Jessie and Domino. The misshaped Aura Sphere was quickly intercepted by Domino's Metagross who just tanked it and looked down in confusion before looking at Soutarou and then back at the spot that the Aura Sphere had landed. Metagross's the upper half of the yellow X around its eyes rose in surprise like an eyebrow as it looked like it was surprised it didn't get blown away and then looked over at Soutarou with its red eyes turning questioning.
All before its Psychic energy probed over Soutarou and its robotic expression that was loosening into something human turned really hesitant and a robotic mental voice rang, {... Soutarou… Takashina's Unique Psychic and Aura signature confirmed… Requests to attack from trainer denied… Pokémon Garchomp, Togekiss, Gengar, Mismagius, Hatterene and Absol's conjectures and decisions to defend opposing trainers are found to be… Logical. Requesting trainers Domino, Jessie, and Cassidy halt all antagonistic actions…}
As if in agreement Cassidy's Kingambit opened its eyes and tilted its sworded head upwards. Similarly, Jessie's Hydreigon's three heads turned towards her trainer in hope. Jessie's voice softly said, "Metagross… You're sure the signature is the same…?"
Soutarou on the other hand thought, 'The psychic signature is the same…? Is my theory right…? Wait…. SHIT THAT'S NOT FAKING IT ANYMORE!'
Soutarou's eyes turned over to Ralts and asked for clarity shakily, {J-just checking… What does it mean if the psychic signature is the same… Ralts?}
Ralts paused in hesitation before responding, {You should know what it means master… psychic powers are unique person to person… It's why psychic signatures are considered the absolute… the absolute fingerprint… Other things can be faked… but psychic signature? I don't think it can be replicated…}
Soutarou's face turned weird and he said calmly, "Whoever you think I am… I'm sorry to say I'm not… Please let me go… I really don't want to fight-"
Soutarou felt a bad premonition and paused before Cassidy's eyes turned crazed and she shouted, "ROSERADE!!!"
Domino sighed and turned to the crazed Cassidy and swung her fist at her, while waving her hand in a unique motion causing her Zoroark to trap Roserade inside of an illusion and for Metagross to create psychic barriers to box it in. Cassidy grit her teeth and looked and shouted at Domino, "What do you think you're doing Domino?!?"
Jessie echoed Cassidy and said, "Domino?!"
Domino just yelled back, "I think you know damn well what I'm doing Jessie! Capture him and I'll put this crazy bitch to sleep!"
Jessie grit her teeth before re-releasing her Weavile and saying, "Forget capturing him peacefully… Weavile, knock out his Pokémon and knock him out! Hydreigon Flamethrower and Dragon Pulse together, knock out Cassidy's Pokémon."
Domino's Hatterene and Absol looked back at Soutarou as they realized their trainer wasn't trying to kill Soutarou their gaze turned serious with Absol immediately using Rock Tomb to try to isolate Soutarou. Only for Soutarou to use Ralts to Teleport away and forcing Misty away from the battlefield, whispering to her "Get out of here… Go get help… They're after me so I'll buy you time. GO!"
Domino's Hatterene tried to lock down Soutarou, but Cassidy's Garchomp immediately launched itself at Hatterene with Aerial Ace and sent her flying before unleashing Outrage while growling with glowing red eyes at Cassidy and Houndoom. In the meantime Togekiss also used Aerial Ace on Jessie's Salazzle of its own accord, dragging it away from the main battlefield as it realized Soutarou's situation was becoming dire and allowing Jessie to fully jump in would ruin Soutarou's chances of getting away safely
Just as Soutarou was preparing to flee, Jessie's Gengar, who was defending Soutarou, turned around and tried to use Hypnosis on him and keep him there.
Surprisingly the one who interrupted wasn't Ralts, but Jessie's own Mismagius using Confuse Ray to interrupt Gengar.
Soutarou began backing away while watching Misty regretfully run away after recalling her Pokemon. Just as he felt he was in the clear as Domino and Jessie engaged Cassidy, a sudden blast of Ice blasted into Soutarou's shoulder knocking Snivy off it and injuring Soutarou. Snivy rolled off and a yelp of, "Vyyy!," rang out. Causing Soutarou's eyes to dilate and as he saw another Ice Shard bulleting towards Snivy, without hesitation he ordered Ralts to teleport him forwards to the fallen Snivy.
At that moment that Ralts teleported them, Soutarou yanked her off his shoulder and threw both of them onto the ground and threw himself over them in a protective manner. Ralts realized what her master was trying to do and tried to use Protect even knowing the strength difference…
Only for a resounding shattering sound to ring out and the move blasted into Soutarou's already injured side and sent him rolling. Her and Snivy's eyes widened. Two vines sprouted out of Snivy and she's frantically tapped, trying to wake him up, but to be met with almost no response. Ralts' psychic energy surged and Milotic burst out of her Luxury Ball in an instant and she fired an immense Dragon Pulse at Weavile, who using shadow sneak had gotten behind Snivy and used Ice Shard on it in an attempt to dissuade Soutarou from running stared in horror, before being blasted away by Milotic's Dragon Pulse.
Soutarou's vision blurred and his lumbar region screamed in pain, he softly clutched Snivy and Ralts, before rasping out, "Are you okay, Snivy?"
Ralts' surging psychic energy skyrocketed yet she worriedly and uncontrollably began using Heal Pulse. A deep silence spread across the battlefield as Snivy with teary eyes looked at Soutarou, and Soutarou softly chucked while he clutched his bleeding side flat on the ground while petting Snivy and trying to soothe it with Viridian Power, he gently said, "I promised you… I'd never let you get hurt… Snivy."
Snivy's eyes shook and she began crying before a bright white light lit up across her being, causing Soutarou to smile slightly, 'Well… I guess my original plan worked partially… Though I really didn't intend to nearly die out here…She evolved and her affection should definitely go up…'
Soutarou watched happily, but in pain as Snivy evolved and became elongated and its once yellow collar turned orange and it became taller and grew and its blue became a deeper shade. A grieved cry rang out, "SERVINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Instantly a massive Leaf Storm infused with evolution energy crashed into the already downed Weavile and across the entire battlefield. Milotic followed it up with a Surf. Before Milotic and Servine supported Soutarou, all while Ralts wrapped them in its Psychic energy and began using Teleport in extreme rapid succession following its tag of Misty before grabbing her and beginning to Teleport straight towards Pewter City without pause.
~Rocket Trio POV~
Jessie's eyes became hazy upon seeing Soutarou throw himself in front of Snivy and she froze, but out of the corner of her eyes she saw Cassidy's eyes shake as if remembering that horrible, horrible day, when they lost the only light in their lives.
The scenes crossed over and Domino in her daze didn't realize her Metagross released the psychic tracking tag on Soutarou. While Cassidy's Garchomp turned livid and immediately Aerial Aced into Weavile and began charging a massive Dragon Pulse before Cassidy's arm just mechanically snapped to her belt and forced Garchomp back into her ball.
Cassidy recalled her Pokemon and her expression turned really unreadable and Domino stared at Jessie's Weavile with a strange light flickering in her eyes.
Jessie softly said, "Just like…"
Cassidy darkly rasped, "Don't."
Jessie's eyes turned soft as she stared at the spot where Soutarou had just been before she said, "Yeah… I don't think we were honestly in the right mindset in that fight were we? He wasn't strong at all… And that usage of Aura, Viridian Power, and even Psychic energy…"
Cassidy hoarsely said, "It was rough… Like he just got those powers…"
Domino pulled out a phone and pulled up a page, "Look. Soutarou Morita, black eyes, black hair, no record of any abilities, nor is he listed on the ability user database of the league. Not to mention… He's sixteen years old."
Jessie muttered, "That timeline matches up… With that, our Soutarou got his powers around this age too …. This is big news… Not to mention Soutarou's eyes used to be black too… Just like ours… No need to chase him, we'll meet again… Next time…"
Her eyes turned sharp and she glanced at both of her partners with both understanding her meaning immediately.
Domino shakily, yet in complete agreement nodded, "Agreed. We shouldn't report this… That bitch Ariana would come running."
Cassidy added, "Sird and Matori too."
Jessie just shook her head and said, "I guess we need to silence those two then?"
Domino's eyes turned sharp and she said, "It's unfortunate. But I guess so…"
Cassidy's eyes stayed stuck the on ground where Soutarou had been moments ago and said, "Let's go after him-"
A robotic voice sounded in their minds, {Negative. The psychic tag was destroyed.}
Domino cast a subtle glance at her Metagross before Jessie and Domino both glared at Cassidy before Jessie said, "If it weren't for your mania we would've already had him. Now it's better to ignore it… Otherwise those other bitches will get involved."
Cassidy gritted her teeth and said, "Fine then… What's our next move?"
Jessie and Domino glanced at each other and Domino playfully said, "Dealing with the others of course."
~Ralts POV~
Her mind was on fire, her psychic energy roaring. For the first time in her life… Ralts wanted to kill someone. Her love. Her Master. Her trainer had been harmed. Ralt's deep orange eyes flickered in murderous intent, as she teleported her psychic energy remained like a veil over Soutarou.
Her eyes remained glued to the figure who was her entire world and her thoughts into a swirl of regret.
A flash of determination mixed with a trace of obsession flashed across her eyes and her psychic energy seemed to hear her cry for strength and it began to grow rapidly…
~Misty POV~
Seeing Ralts teleport so rapidly in succession while impressive wasn't what had her attention, Misty's eyes stayed glued to Soutarou who she was now supporting with his arm draped over her shoulder.
Her eyes hardened, and she thought, 'If only… If only I wasn't afraid of Gyarados… I could've been of help…'
Her eyes too flashed with determination…
'While I haven't known you for long… But I have a feeling that traveling by your side will turn me into the trainer I want to be… I want to be a true master of water type Pokémon… And plus… It's nice… To have someone who acknowledges me the way you do… '
