~Soutarou POV~
Kaede then unreadably said, "You're trying to get stronger right? Then shall we battle? Mr. Morita?"
Soutarou's eyes narrowed, but he didn't feel any danger and he smiled brightly, "Well what are we waiting for?"
Kaede smiled as if remembering something before beckoning the pair to follow towards the Pewter Pokémon Center's battle arena. They reached a room and she began to type in a code, before the other Nurse Joy, Kaede's cousin came over and said, "You're going to have a battle with a patient?"
Kaede chuckled and said, "The patient asked for it."
Nurse Joy just said, "Go easy on them, cousin. I don't want more patients ending up in my wards because of you."
Nurse Joy glared at Kaede who just smiled as if she didn't have a clue as to what the other Joy had just said. Nurse Joy then just tapped her badge onto the door and it opened revealing a dark and open massive room. As the group walked in Nurse Joy bowed slightly and left stating she had work to attend to. As Soutarou and Misty were wondering where the lights were, the empty and darkened room's lights flicked on in a dramatic fashion with Kaede somehow already reaching the far end trainer box. All before she grabbed an ionic red Pokéball and even more dramatically announced, "Pokémon Inspector and Nurse Kaede Joy challenges Trainer Soutarou Morita!"
She held the ball outwards in challenge before tossing the ball upwards, revealing a large muscular black and red striped cat like figure as she said, "Standby for battle Incineroar."
Soutarou's eyes widened for a moment before narrowing, 'Those lines, that pose… Damn…! She's the classic game NPC! But seriously Incineroar? An Alolan pokémon here in Kanto? A starter at that too…'
Soutarou thought about his team composition for a moment before tossing out Milotic's Pokeball and saying, "Come out! Milotic! It's all up to you!"
Misty who was confused for a moment was embarrassed when both Soutarou and Kaede stared at her and Misty coughed and cleared her throat before moving to the midline of the arena and from the out of bounds range raising her arm and saying, ""This will be a three-on-three Pokémon battle between Trainer Soutarou Morita and Pokémon Inspect & Nurse Kaede Joy! Each trainer may use three Pokémon! The battle will be over when all of one trainer's Pokémon are unable to battle! Let the battle begin!"
The moment she said begin her arm dropped in dramatic fashion and immediately a wave of energy washed over Milotic causing a blue glow to shine over her before another orange glow appeared over Milotic's body.
'Intimidate. As expected'
Both Kaede and Soutarou stared at one another for a millisecond before Soutarou immediately said, "Surf"
Only to hear something that made his face darken immediately, "
Soutarou's face darkened as Incineroar slapped Milotic in bulleting speed faster than Milotic's Surf instantly causing Milotic to flinch before a green burst of energy slammed into Milotic and returned to Kaede's Pokéball.
Just as Soutarou was beginning to curse another Alola Pokémon hit the field, this one instantly made Soutarou's face turn black.
'TOXAPEX????? WHICH BASTARD-'
Soutarou grit his teeth and immediately said, "Milotic use Recover now!"
Milotic's body shimmered with a soft emerald glow, scratches knitting back together as the damage from Fake Out and U-turn visibly lessened. The beautiful serpent straightened, eyes sharp despite the earlier annoyance. Unfortunately for Soutarou, Kaede didn't even blink and without hesitation she called out, "Toxic Spikes."
The battlefield shimmered as jagged violet barbs dissolved into the floor, sinking into the arena just waiting to bloom.
Soutarou's vision darkened behind words, 'I literally died. AND STILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH THESE TACTICS?'
Soutarou responded to the Toxic spikes by immediately ordering Milotic to use Surf.
Water blasted outwards in a towering wave crashing toward Toxapex. Only for a different command to ring out than what Soutarou expected, "
Soutarou's face darkened further as he watched the massive wave crash into Toxapex and literally do nothing with Toxapex not even getting pushed back from its original spot. Another command rang out as Kaede followed up the

Soutarou's eyebrow twitched and Misty, now further back from the actual fighting area and on an observation deck on a floor above, watched in similar annoyance to Soutarou to Kaede's tactics.
'So essentially… No special attacks for five turns or rather they won't do much… No typing advantage here… Not to mention… If I try physical attacks… Instant baneful bunker. I know that like the back of my hand. Worse my test of removing Toxic Spikes with Surf turned out to be a failure-'
Soutarou's eyes widened as a purple glow cast over Milotic who had moved forwards with the Surf…
'DAMN! THIS- IT'S EVEN MORE TOXIC WITH REAL LIFE APPLICATIONS! I DEMAND A NERF'
While Soutarou's vision turned black before Kaede tried to beat him while he was down softly saying, "
Soutarou immediately recalled Milotic before the Venoshock hit and tossed out Ralts' Pokéball and Ralts who had been communicating with Soutarou before hand with subtle Psychic energy appeared on the field and was floating above the Toxic Spikes using her own Psychic prowess to avoid touching the Toxic Spikes. Soutarou didn't bother commanding Ralts outloud fully switching to Psychic communication to leverage his advantage, especially since Kaede already knew of his Psychic powers. As Ralts arrived a field of psychic energy flashed outwards from Ralts' psychic surge, boosting her psychic power by creating a Psychic Terrain.
Kaede's eyes narrowed, but she didn't say anything else as she watched with interest knowing that this was likely Soutarou's strongest Pokémon.

Ralt's orange eyes shined from under her blue bangs as a translucent dome shimmered outward from her tiny body just as Venoshock detonated where Milotic had been standing moments before. The toxic blast splashed harmlessly against the barrier, dispersing into violet mist.
Kaede's eyes turned hazy for a moment, before she murmured, "Psychic communication huh…? Just like…"
Soutarou's eyes locked with Kaede's for a moment when she said "Just like…" knowing that she meant another Soutarou… Shaking himself free from that line of thought. He focused and narrowed his eyes.
Soutarou thought for a moment before saying mentally, {Mean Look. Follow it up with Taunt then Calm Mind. Start preparing Future Sight with the Mean Look, after the other moves finish disguise it with a Psychic try to grab Toxapex.}
Ralts' eyes flashed under her bangs and she pushed her hair back and her orange eyes locked with Toxapex's and narrowed in a demonic way sending a chill down Toxapex.
Kaede paused for a moment and pursed her lips and her eyes lit up and she stared at Ralts with a heated gaze before her gaze locked onto Soutarou's as if she finally confirmed something, before she smiled.
Just as Ralts was about to follow up the Mean Look with Taunt Kaede interrupted her chain with Toxapex using
A cold, colorless mist erupted from Toxapex's spiny body, spilling outward in a suffocating wave that swallowed the battlefield whole.
Soutarou's expression turned dark and unfortunately Ralts hadn't used Calm Mind after the Haze. Still she'd wasted energy and Toxapex was still in ideal condition with Kaede immediately following the Haze with
Ralts' voice rang out, {Should I still use Psychic?}
Soutarou immediately fired back, {No use Taunt. Then use Confusion.}
Ralts' eyes flashed once again from under her bangs and she beckoned with her arm to Toxapex in a mocking way, immediately Toxapex became annoyed and a red annoyance tick mark literally showed up on the corner of the top of its small hanging purple body. All before another Safeguard rose again. Just as she was about to use confusion Kaede's voice rang out.
Kaede's eyes turned even more heated as she once again saw Ralts use a move outside her evolutionary line. Kaede then smiled and said to Soutarou, "Excellent response. Good adaptation and very, very impressive decisiveness in recalling your Milotic. It seems I'll have to take this a bit more seriously."
Kaede smiled in such a way that gave Soutarou a bad premonition and sure enough, "ScaldingAcid Spray-Toxic-Hydropump and then follow it up with a Scalding Venoshock-Brine Hydropump. Lastly, Hex and finish it off."
Soutarou tried to tell Ralts to cancel the confusion and use Protect, but it was too late and the Toxapex that had been lazing around for the most of the battle finally got serious, instantly firing off the immensely powerful Hydropump at Ralts.
Connecting his Psychic energy to Ralts he forced the tug of Teleport that he knew by heart from Ralts teleporting all day, every day.
Kaede just called out again in an almost instantaneous manner, "6 a clock. Same height. Hit again."
Just as Ralts teleported forcefully and was beginning to shake off her daze the Hydropump slammed into her knocking her out of the air as her control of psychic fully collapsed throwing her to the ground, but she still barely missed a Toxic Spike. All before a blue glow shimmered around Ralts and her special defence fell. Soutarou's eyes closed, but Ralts' snapped open and her psychic energy became chaotic and enraged and she waited until the next attack was right at her before Teleporting behind it and slamming a Thunder Punch into without waiting for Soutarou's command feeling his emotions and translating it into an unconscious command
A purple hue spread across Ralts and Ralts flattered for a moment, but it was enough. Kaede's Toxapex had instantaneously used Baneful Bunker to completely nullify the attack and poison Ralts. To which Kaede smiled and said, "Looks like you still need to work on your coordination with Ralts. Venoshock."
Soutarou's despairing face turned devilish in a flash and he communicated with Ralts, {DestinyBond.}
'You won't play fair? Then we won't either!'
As the Venoshock hit Ralts and Ralts stumbled and collapsed with her eyes turning into swirls, a wave of purple and black energy shot off Ralts and slammed into Toxapex causing it too to stumble and collapse.
Soutarou smirked and said, "My coordination with Ralts? When were you ever under the impression we weren't in sync for even a moment?"
Kaede smiled and her eyes gleamed all before Misty called out, "Ralts and Toxapex are both unable to battle! Both trainers please send out your next pokémon."
Both Kaede and Soutarou recalled Toxapex and Ralts respectively, before Soutarou paused for a moment before sending out Milotic once again despite being poisoned he really didn't have a choice. As for Kaede she smiled and said, "I really took you too lightly… So this next Pokémon will be my ace… I hope you're ready."
Soutarou's gaze tightened and nervously watched Kaede pull out an actual Master Ball and he instantly knew and internally screamed, 'HOLY SHIT! I FUCKIN' KNEW IT THE MOMENT SHE SAID POKÉMON LEAGUE INSPECTOR!'
Kaede calmly tossed out the Pokéball revealing a blue and white majestic Pokémon with deep red eyes and an overall appearance that resembled a fighter jet.
Milotic and Soutarou stared at the Pokémon that gave a pressure unlike anything they'd ever felt before, Misty in the observation deck felt the pressure and was flabbergasted as she didn't recognize the Pokemon at all. Fumbling through Soutarou's back pack, which he'd told her to hold onto, she pulled out his SummersDex and pointed it at the Pokèmon.
