The next morning began with a single goal. Avoid Alpha Hades. I didn't want yesterday to repeat itself. If Cassian was unavailable I rather not train. Unfortunately, the universe appeared determined to make me suffer because Alpha Hades face flashed in my head.
"You're doing it again."
I looked up from my breakfast, Carina was watching me suspiciously.
"Doing what?"
"Thinking." I frowned.
"I'm allowed to think, aren't I?"
"Yes but it's obvious that whatever you are thinking of is bothering you" Carina pointed a spoon at me. "If there is a problem, you can share it with me"
I looked away. I had to set my face straight because if Carina started asking questions, I was doomed. She would want to know every single detail and I couldn't tell her about the stupid dream I had that has been bothering me.
Fortunately, Carina seemed willing to let it go.
"You're training today, right?" I groaned.
"Maybe"
"And it's with the Alpha" I nearly choked on my tea.
