"When friends visit, we will prepare the most sumptuous feast and the grandest welcome ceremony for them."
"When a powerful enemy comes to attack, they will face Wakanda's most fearless warriors, whose sharpest spears will pierce the hearts of their foes!"
"We, the people of Wakanda, are invincible!"
The elder king grew more and more animated, finally raising his scepter—the symbol of power and supreme authority.
"Long live Wakanda!Long live Wakanda!"
…
Instantly, a roar like an avalanche and tsunami echoed through Wakanda.
The rushing waterfalls around them churned violently in response to the king's mighty voice.
The people of Wakanda were filled with righteous indignation. The elder king continued:"Therefore, it is now up to my bravest and most fearless son, T'Challa…"
The elder king's gaze turned toward his long-awaiting son.
"To challenge Wakanda's most courageous warriors. If he succeeds, he will follow the guidance of our ancestors, consume the precious Heart-Shaped Herb, and receive the protection and blessing of the great Panther God."
"And take my place as Wakanda's new protector—the Black Panther!"
At this moment, the elder king announced the shocking news to all of Wakanda's people.
"Father, I will never disappoint you!"
T'Challa stepped into the rushing river, standing before his father, determination written across his face.
"Now, I declare that the challenge begins immediately!"
"Hmm… ha!"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
As the elder king announced the start, all of Wakanda erupted in excitement, accompanied by the unique beat of ceremonial drums that energized every person.
At the same time, Wakanda's bravest warriors, spears in hand, surrounded T'Challa standing in the river.
One warrior, wearing a fierce mask and possessing a physique far stronger than T'Challa, stepped forward.
"Hah!"
With a roar, the challenge began.
The towering Wakandan warrior lunged forward, spear aimed at T'Challa.

Chapter 23: First Day of School (Add to your bookmarks to continue reading!)
A few days later, Midtown High School, New York City.
With the holidays over, the normally quiet campus buzzed with activity that morning.
"Hey, Peter!"
"Wow, you grew so much over just one vacation!"
"Maybe it's just because I'm going through puberty…"
Walking through the familiar campus, only a few classmates greeted him, but they quickly noticed that Peter had grown significantly over the break.
Outside, on the bustling streets, couples who hadn't seen each other all holiday eagerly tried to kiss as soon as they met.
Peter finally reached his locker.
"Ha, another meaningless prank."
Opening it, he saw two dead mice inside—but he felt nothing.
The next moment, he used the locker door to shield his flushed eyes.
"Huh? Why isn't that coward reacting?"
Nearby, the two pranksters were watching Peter's reaction.
But the scene they expected—Peter screaming in fear—never happened.
From his calm demeanor, it seemed he wasn't even aware of their handiwork.
"Hey, did you even put it in?"
"Yeah, boss, we did."
"Then why isn't he reacting?"
Who knows? Maybe he had endured enough scares in the past to become braver.
"Let's go check."
The two watched Peter walk away calmly. Still suspicious, they went to confront him.
"Damn, you said you put it in? Where is it?"
They secretly opened Peter's locker, but besides a few personal items, the prank was gone.
"But I clearly put it on the bottom shelf. How is it gone?"
The brother, being scolded, felt baffled and wronged.
Trying to prove his innocence, he rummaged through the locker.
"Ah… it's so hot!"
Suddenly, a sharp scream drew all the students' attention.
He had touched something inside the locker, recoiling as if electrocuted—and even though he pulled away, his hand was burned and blistered.
He brought this upon himself.
Hearing the screams and laughter behind him, Peter sighed quietly and walked into the classroom.
…
Inside the classroom, Peter found his seat by memory and sat down.
"Too bad this spot doesn't get any sunlight."
Yet he soon stood again.
His seat was in the far back corner, against the wall, receiving no sun at all.
Peter could not accept this, especially considering his ongoing enhanced abilities.
"Hmm, now that's a good spot—right by the window."
He scanned the classroom and quickly found a prime spot.
It was right in the center by the window, basking in sunlight morning and evening.
Without hesitation, he walked over, though the seat was occupied.
"Hey, Flash, we need to talk."
Peter addressed Thompson, who was chatting about a football game with other students.
Peter's mind couldn't help but recall someone who claimed to be the fastest person on Earth.
"Hey, Peter Parker, why are you in such a hurry to get home after the first day back?"
The school bully, Flash, turned and realized the boy interrupting him was Peter, who had once seemed timid.
Anger flared instantly. He leapt from his seat.
"So, he grew over the break. No wonder he's so confident, daring to bother me."
However, as he stood, he realized Peter was now taller than him and no longer timid.
Moreover, Peter showed no sign of fear.
"Sorry, I just wanted to switch seats with you."
"Hmph, don't think a little growth will scare me. I'm the absolute star of the football team."
Seeing that the previously timid Peter was unafraid, and noticing his surroundings carefully, Flash immediately punched Peter hard in the chest.
Bam! Crack!
"Ah! It's broken…"
First came a dull thud, then the crisp crack of bones breaking.
Flash clenched his fist in pain, screaming.
"Get him to the nurse's office!"
Watching Flash in agony, Peter calmly told the stunned onlookers:
"He's fine. Let's get him to the nurse's office."
The bystanders were shocked. Peter Parker, the often-bullied kid, had become so formidable.
Peter thought to himself: "How did you punch through my steel-like body? My body can even withstand bullets."
As Flash's minions carried him to the nurse's office, Peter nonchalantly took the seat in front of him.
Sunlight streamed onto him, and his body and mind instantly felt relaxed.
"Parker, you've changed a lot over the break."
A girl with an Asian face and black-rimmed glasses behind Peter looked at him in disbelief.
