Chapter 7 - Chapter 7- A bond closer to fast

Ryuu and Rei left with Takashi, Ryuu and Rei were lost in conversation. They laughed the whole way home, Rei walked close to Ryuu and sometimes wrapped her arms around his with a bright smile on her face. Takashi watched all this with the face of someone who hate a very sour lemon. (How did they get so close, so fast? Why won't she do that with me? I was here first.) Takashi thought with an ever-decreasing mood. As the trio approached their street, Ryuu and Rei turned to Ryuu's home. Rei turned to look at Takashi and said, Takashi, Ryuu-Kun invited us to hang out at his house. Wanna come in and watch a movie and get a tour of his home? Takashi looked at her stunned. He shook his head and replied, no thank you, I am ok. I have to go home and do homework. With that he gave one last withering glare at Ryuu and walked away. Rei looked both confused and hurt. She just wanted to hang out with her new friend and the boy she had a crush on since childhood. Ryuu unlocked the door and looked at her. Is he not gonna come in? Rei turned to him and replied, no he has homework. But he didn't look happy when I told him you invited us to your house.  With that they both entered the house. Rei looked around and was amazed. She stepped into the house proper and looked around. She saw a wide-open living room, with white walls and a brown brick archway that led into the kitchen. The floor was real brazilin cherry wood. There was a chandelier hanging from the ceiling in the middle of the room. It was a hand-crafted gold finished chandelier priced at 174,000 USD or 26,566,320 yen. The wealth on display with just a chandelier was astonishing to Rei. There was a 6ft Mahogony table in-between two large couches, with two recliners in front of the ends of the table. Ryuu led her further into the house. She caught a glimpse of the kitchen. It was an open space with marble counter tops, and Sakura wood cabinets. There was a see-through fridge with a screen that updated what was need for the fridge as well as the freezer. They continued into the house and Ryuu opened a door that led into a small but personal movie theater with a popcorn machine as well as rows of candy both from Japan and the us. Pick whatever movie or anime you would like to watch Rei. I'll make some popcorn, also do you want soda or something else? Rei sat down and noticed that the seat had a screen that could be used to find something to watch. She replied to Ryuu, I'll have a soda and could you bring me some candy please? Also, what do your parents do in order to afford all this? Ryuu walked back and sat beside her and replied, they own a multinational pharmacal company. Rei looked at him shocked. She realized that she just made friends with someone who could buy the best mansions in Japan and go to a very expensive private school but still chose to go to Fujimi academy. She let go of that thought for now and decided on an anime to watch. She chose the anime code Geass. They ended up watching the whole show from start to finish, Rei started to fall asleep. Ryuu asked her, want to stay over? or I can walk you if you want me to. Rei still sleepy decided to stay over, she called her mom and told her that she was staying at a friend's house and would go to school from there. With that settled, Ryuu showed her to the guest room. With that they both went to bed. Rei woke up the next morning confused as to why she wasn't in her room. Then she remembered that she stayed over and Ryuu's place and flushed with embarrassment. She opened the door and walked out when the smell of eggs, sausage and pancakes wafted from the kitchen. She walked in and noticed Ryuu at the stove cooking and for a brief moment her breath caught. Ryuu was wearing grey sweatpants and had an apron on with no shirt underneath. She saw his well-defined back muscles that tensed with every movement he made while he cooked. She was lost in thought when Ryuu turned around and gave her a wink. Breakfast will be ready in a little bit, go ahead and sit at the table or counter here and I'll bring it over for you. Ryuu said as he turned back to the stove. Rei's face flushed red and quickly sat down at the marble counter while making sure Ryuu never left her sight. (Why am I watching him? and why does he look so good cooking in the morning.) Rei thought while Ryuu brought over two plates full of food, setting one down in front of her while he sat down. The meal passed with awkward silence from Rei while Ryuu gave her a smug satisfied smile.
