Chapter 6 - Chapter 6- School(2)

The trio of new friends and one disgruntled teenage boy finally cross the gates of Fujimi academy. They walk to the admin office and pick up their schedules. Hey, Ryuu-Kun what did you get for classes? Rei gives him an expectant look. well, Rei I got in order; math, Japanese, English, pe, science and history. And that is the order through 1st-last from the start to end of day, what about you Rei? She looks at her own schedule and grins with satisfaction. Well, Ryuu-Kun I have the same classes in the same order. Looks like we were destined to be friends. She gives a soft laugh at her own joke. She then looks at Takashi. What about you Takashi-Kun? Will all three of us be together? Takashi looks at his and frowns. He shakes his head and shows her his schedule. He says, it seems mine is the total opposite of yours. Rei looks a little sad but just pats his shoulder. It's ok Takashi-Kun, at least we live in the same area. We can all hangout after school and the weekends. She beams a smile even though her eyes show dissatisfaction that they aren't in the same class. With that the bell rings and we all make our way to class. Rei and Ryuu walked into their first class together; they looked around for seats and found two that sat right next to each other near the window. The two sat down, the bell rang and the teacher walked in. The class was boring, Ryuu knew all of it but feigned focus to the lesson. Rei on the other hand was taking notes and every so often would steal a glance at Ryuu. Sometimes she would give him a confused look that was almost cute and funny. Other times she looked exasperated when she noticed him not really paying attention to the lesson and just staring out into space. The class finally ended, the first half of the day was all the same for him. When lunch came around, he and Rei made their way to the cafeteria. Ryuu-Kun, I noticed that you weren't paying attention in our classes today. She says this as she lightly pushed his arm with a small giggle. Ryuu smiled at her, Those classes where boring Rei-Chan. The only reason it was bearable was because I had classes with you. Rei surprised by the comment gave a shy smile and lightly punched his arm. They entered the cafeteria and got their lunch. They looked around for a table. They found one close the windows and sat down. They talked as they ate. So, Ryuu-Kun tell me about yourself more. When is your birthday? Rei gave a bright smile as she said this. Ryuu replied, my birthday is June 24th and well what do you want to know about me specifically? Rei takes out her phone and jots down my birthday. She then looks at me and asks, So, what kind anime and manga do you like to watch and read? Ryuu gives a thoughtful expression. Well, I like romance, sci-fi and fantasy genres when it comes to anime and manga. I also like action mixed in with all those genres. Ryuu replies to her question. The bell rings and they get up and begin to walk to class. The rest of the day went by both slow and fast at the same time. Finally, the day ends, but the journey to the real start of it all was just beginning.
