Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 : The First Beginning

Destruction was everywhere. Buildings torn apart, the ground cracked, blood staining the streets. A figure moved through the chaos at a speed almost like lightning. Every time that flash passed, criminals froze as if the world itself stopped breathing. A voice echoed in the middle of it all. "I am Arashi. I will tear you apart." And then heads fell. Bodies collapsed. Silence followed.

I don't really remember when all of this began. Maybe I do, but I try not to think about it. I was born into what people would call a normal world. Nothing special, nothing magical. But I was never normal. My name is Arashi, and I'm the only one with this power. So tell me, who would dare stand against me?

Morning light slipped through the window of a small apartment in Japan. Third floor. Quiet and empty. A boy opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling for a moment before slowly sitting up. His name was Arashi. He stayed there for almost a minute, lost in thought, then stood and opened his bedroom door. The old wood creaked loudly, the sound echoing in the silence of the apartment.

He walked to the bathroom first. Cold water hit his face, waking him up properly. He looked at his reflection for a second, expression blank. His parents had died shortly after he was born. He didn't remember their faces, their voices, nothing. He grew up alone. No one waited for him in the morning. No one told him to hurry up for school. No one asked if he had slept well. He learned how to take care of himself because he had no other choice.

After washing up, he went into the kitchen and made something simple for breakfast. He wasn't a great cook, but it didn't matter. He just needed something to fill his stomach. He sat at the small table and stared at his food for a moment. "Today is my first day of high school," he said quietly to himself. "I should probably go."

When he stepped outside, he didn't walk for long. He ran. Not in a normal way. Faster. Much faster. People on the sidewalk felt something rush past them like a strong gust of wind. They turned their heads slightly, confused, but saw nothing. By the time he reached the school gate, he had already slowed down. No one needed to know what he could really do.

As he walked inside, he felt that familiar sense of difference. Being the only one with abilities like his in a world that thought it was normal. Sometimes it felt amusing. Sometimes it felt lonely. Then he saw her.

Rin.

She was standing near the entrance with her friends, laughing softly. The sunlight caught her hair, and for a second, Arashi forgot to look away. His heart started beating faster, and that annoyed him. He didn't understand that feeling very well. It wasn't fear or anger. It was something else. Something warmer. He quickly looked forward again. He wasn't good at talking to people. He had always been alone.

Later, as students were entering the classroom, Rin accidentally bumped into him. She lost her balance and almost fell, but before she could hit the ground, Arashi caught her. His hand wrapped around her arm without him even thinking about it. For a brief moment, they just looked at each other. Her eyes were bright and clear, almost glowing. He felt strange again, like time had slowed down only for them.

He gently let her go. She whispered a quiet apology and hurried to her seat, but she kept glancing back at him. Her friends gathered around her, asking if she was okay, if someone had bothered her. She shook her head and said it was nothing.

During math class, Arashi rested his head on his desk and closed his eyes. He already understood the lesson. Listening felt pointless. The teacher noticed and walked over angrily, raising a stick to hit his desk. In that instant, time stopped. The entire classroom froze. The air felt heavy and still.

Arashi calmly stood up, took the stick from the teacher's hand, and returned to his seat. Then time resumed.

The teacher blinked in confusion. "How did you get that?" he asked, clearly shaken.

"You gave it to me," Arashi replied casually.

The class burst into laughter. The teacher tried again, but the same thing happened. The stick ended up in Arashi's hand once more. This time, the teacher stepped back, pale. "This boy isn't normal," he muttered under his breath. Arashi simply leaned back in his chair, hiding a faint smile.

After school, Arashi stood alone in the garden, enjoying the quiet. Rin walked toward him, looking a little nervous. She thanked him for earlier, her voice soft. He felt his face warm slightly, which embarrassed him more than he would ever admit. "It was nothing," he said.

She hesitated before asking if they could be friends. The question caught him off guard. No one had ever asked him that so directly before. "Yeah," he answered after a short pause. "We can."

They exchanged names properly this time. When he asked why she wanted to be friends with someone like him, she looked at him seriously and said he didn't seem strange. She thought he seemed kind. That word stayed in his mind longer than he expected. Kind. No one had described him that way before.

She told him she had things to do and would see him tomorrow. He watched her walk away, feeling something unfamiliar but not unpleasant.

On his way home, he noticed movement in a narrow alley. A woman struggling. Several men laughing. His expression changed instantly. He stepped inside and asked them what they thought they were doing. They laughed at him, calling him a kid, telling him to leave.

He sighed. "Fine. I'll play a little."

He knocked the woman unconscious gently so she wouldn't see what was about to happen. Then he moved. Too fast to follow. Punches landed. Bones cracked. Bodies hit the ground. One man tried to run, but he didn't get far.

A muscular man stepped forward confidently and tried to challenge him. The man's punch landed on Arashi's face, but it felt like nothing. Arashi responded with a single blow to the stomach, sending him crashing through a wall. Within moments, the entire group was down.

Arashi carried the woman out of the alley and made sure she was safe. When she opened her eyes, he was already gone.

His stomach growled. He realized he was starving. Instead of going home, he decided to eat at a nearby restaurant. The warm lights and the smell of food felt strangely comforting after what had just happened. He ordered a meal and sat quietly, eating without thinking much.

That's when he noticed someone at a large table across the room. The math teacher. Sitting with men who definitely didn't look like teachers. The teacher spotted him and smiled, but it wasn't a friendly smile. It was sharp and full of bad intentions.

Arashi finished his food calmly and stepped outside into the cool night air. A few seconds later, footsteps surrounded him. The teacher and several men blocked his path.

"Is this the student?" one of them asked.

"Yes," the teacher replied coldly. "Teach him a lesson."

They closed in around him.

Arashi exhaled slowly, almost bored.

"This again," he muttered to himself.
