Endless Chaos – Chaos Void Plane: The Path of Story
Chapter 5 – The Path of Story
The wooden wall of the guest house remained split open.
A thin, clean cut ran across the surface as if a real sword had sliced through it.
The room was silent.
Raphael stared at his hand.
"…I actually did that."
Lina slowly walked toward the wall.
She carefully touched the cut.
Her eyes widened.
"It's real…"
The village elder, Garron, remained quiet for several moments. His old eyes studied Raphael with deep seriousness.
Finally, he spoke.
"You just stepped onto a path."
Raphael looked at him.
"What path?"
The elder pointed to the glowing paper on the table.
"The Path of Story."
Raphael sat down slowly.
"So… this world really runs on stories?"
Garron nodded.
"Yes."
"Stories are not just entertainment here."
"They are concepts given form."
Raphael's mind immediately connected the idea to something familiar.
Back in the Chaos Universe Plane, scholars studied Concept Paths.
Paths like:
Path of Fire
Path of Sword
Path of Time
Path of Knowledge
Each path represented a universal law.
But here…
Raphael looked at the glowing paper again.
"Stories are concepts."
Garron nodded again.
"And storytellers are the ones who shape them."
Lina sat beside Raphael.
"But why haven't I heard about this before?"
The elder sighed.
"Because our village is small."
"The real storytellers live in the great cities."
"Some serve kingdoms."
"Some create legends."
"And the strongest of them…"
Garron paused.
"…can change reality."
Raphael's curiosity burned.
"How strong?"
The elder looked toward the night sky.
"There are stories that summon storms."
"Stories that create heroes."
"Stories that awaken monsters."
"And stories that can reshape entire lands."
Lina whispered.
"That sounds terrifying…"
Garron nodded.
"It is."
Raphael leaned back in his chair.
This world is insane.
On Earth, stories were imagination.
Here…
Stories were power.
And Raphael had already created one.
The Legend of the Dragon Slayer.
Raphael asked another question.
"How does someone grow stronger on this path?"
The elder tapped the glowing paper again.
"Three things."
"Create stories."
"Spread stories."
"And make people believe them."
Raphael slowly nodded.
So belief was the key.
The more people believed a story…
The stronger it became.
And the storyteller who created it gained power from it.
Raphael smiled slightly.
"That's actually… perfect."
Lina tilted her head.
"Why perfect?"
Raphael leaned forward.
"Because I'm from another world."
Both Lina and Garron looked at him in surprise.
Raphael continued.
"My old world had millions of stories."
"Books."
"Movies."
"Games."
"Legends from thousands of cultures."
The elder's eyes widened.
"You remember them?"
Raphael grinned.
"Not all of them."
"But enough."
In Raphael's mind, countless ideas appeared.
Heroes.
Dragons.
Magic systems.
Martial arts.
Epic battles.
Entire worlds.
And every single one of them could potentially become a Story Path here.
Lina suddenly jumped up excitedly.
"Then you could create thousands of stories!"
Raphael laughed.
"Maybe."
But then he became serious.
"First, we need to test something."
He pointed at the glowing paper.
"If someone else learns the technique…"
"Does the story grow stronger?"
Lina immediately raised her hand.
"I'll try!"
The elder frowned.
"That technique is dangerous."
But Lina already stepped into the middle of the room.
"Teach me."
Raphael stood up.
"Alright."
He showed her the movement slowly.
"Step forward."
"Focus your strength."
"Imagine cutting something huge."
"Like a dragon."
Lina nodded seriously.
She took a deep breath.
Then she copied the movement.
Step.
Swing.
The air moved slightly.
But nothing happened.
Lina frowned.
"Why didn't it work?"
The elder answered.
"Because she doesn't fully believe it yet."
Raphael nodded.
That made sense.
The villagers believed the story.
But Lina herself had not fully imagined the dragon battle.
Raphael thought for a moment.
Then he smiled.
"I know how to fix that."
He grabbed the paper again.
Then he began writing a new line.
Only those who carry the courage of a dragon slayer can unleash the Dragon Severing Strike.
The moment the ink dried…
The paper glowed brighter.
Lina suddenly felt something.
A strange heat flowing through her arms.
Raphael stepped back.
"Try again."
Lina nodded.
She stepped forward.
Focused.
And swung her arm.
SHHHK!
A sharp blade of wind shot forward.
It cut through a wooden chair.
The chair split cleanly in half.
Lina froze.
"I… I did it."
Raphael laughed.
"It worked."
But the elder looked even more serious now.
"You have no idea what you just started."
Raphael tilted his head.
"What do you mean?"
Garron looked directly at him.
"Stories attract attention."
"Especially powerful ones."
Raphael crossed his arms.
"From who?"
The elder answered quietly.
"Other storytellers."
"And worse…"
He looked toward the dark horizon beyond the village.
"…Story Beasts."
At that exact moment…
Far away in the mountains…
A deep roar echoed through the night.
Not a normal animal.
Something ancient.
Something powerful.
Something that had felt the birth of a new legend.
The villagers looked toward the mountains in fear.
Raphael slowly smiled.
"…Please tell me that's not a dragon."
The elder didn't answer.
And that silence said everything.
