"And you expect him to just take you in?"
She asked.

"I don't expect anything…"
"I'm just following his last words."

Ethan leaned against the wall.

"Interesting situation."
He muttered under his breath.
Lucas stood still.

Observing Damian.
Waiting for his decision.

He walked past Amelia.
Then stopped.
"Lucas."

"Prepare a room."

"For her."
Elara's head snapped toward him instantly.
"What?"
Her voice wasn't loud.

"You're letting her stay?"
Damian turned to her.
"Yes."

Elara let out a small breath.
"In our house?"

"With our family?"
Damian's expression didn't change.
"I made a deal."
Elara shook her head slightly.
"That was years ago!"
"And now it matters."
Damian replied calmly.
Silence stretched between them.
Ethan looked between both of them.

"You really can't say no to people, can you?"
He muttered.
Elara shot him a look.
"Stay out of this."
He raised his hands.
"Not my fight."
Amelia stood there.

Unsure.
"I can leave…"
She said quietly.
"I don't want to cause trouble."
"No."
Damian said immediately.
Firm.
"You stay."

Elara looked at him.

"Fine."
But her tone said otherwise.
Lucas stepped forward.
"This way."
He said to Amelia.
She nodded slowly.
Before leaving—
She looked at Damian one last time.
Grateful.
Then followed Lucas out.
The moment the door closed—
The tension remained.
Elara crossed her arms.
"You didn't even think about it."
"I did."
Damian replied calmly.
"And you still chose this?"
"Yes."

"She's part of a promise."
Elara turned to face him again.
"And what about us?"

"You are my family."
His voice softened slightly.
"And nothing changes that."
Elara held his gaze.

"Then don't let this affect us."
"It won't."
He said firmly.
Across the room—
Ethan exhaled slowly.

And somewhere down the hallway—
Amelia walked quietly behind Lucas.
Into a house she didn't know.
