"What is this bastard mumbling about?" Marcus wanted to smack Jaai across the face.
"Have you gone mad?" Elaine snapped at Marcus. "Didn't I warn you to step aside?"
Marcus felt defeated and promised himself not to step in anymore. Not even if Jaai were to project a sense of threat.
"Come with me. Let's go home." Elaine grabbed Jaai's arm again and pulled him to the car.
Jaai could sigh in relief. He didn't think that Elaine would fall for this. After all, she wasn't as smart as he had always thought.
Jaai took a glance at Marcus then looked away. Marcus held up a glare. Jaai knew that Marcus would turn out to be his own worst nightmare.
All the family members got into the luxurious SUV and the driver drove off the property of the Old Mr Hullevard.
While in the SUV, Jaai caught the sight of Jada texting on her phone. Jaai could guess who she was texting but it didn't really matter in that moment.
Now, he has to live like a stranger in the villa of Elaine's family! Not that he was treated right from on set, but this was quite different.
He now has to pretend like he didn't know anything at all.
The SUV soon pulled into the compound of the villa and parked in the open garage. Everyone climbed out of the SUV and walked directly into the foyer.
There was a grave silence. The only sound made were the clinking of shoe soles of the family members.
Jaai followed Elaine from behind while the rest of the family members were behind him. Everyone was at alert, and were very chosey of their next line of actions.
Elaine stopped walking when she got to the chair that was made especially for her. The rest of the children were trying to settle in.
All of a sudden, Elaine spun around. Smack! Smack! She landed two heavy slaps into the face of Jaai.
Everyone gasped when this happened. In fact, some of them exclaimed. The likes of Jada screamed as though she was the one who was slapped.
No one could have predicted what had just happened. Did Elaine just slap Jaai so hard and out of the blue? It was a mystery.
"How dare you cheat on your wife and ask for divorce?!" Elaine yelled at him.
Jaai was dumbfounded. He didn't even know what to think in this situation. It felt like he had lost every brain cell that he had.
No! The slap wasn't even why he was feeling like this. His head had stopped spinning immediately those words fell out of Elaine's lips. What the hell was she talking about?
Elaine gripped Jaai's cloth by the collar and pulled him closer.
"Start talking now before I break your jaws into smithereens!!!" She screamed into his face.
Jada, Marcus and Gerard couldn't even find their voices. They didn't even know what to say if they could use their voices in that moment.
What the hell was happening? What was Elaine talking about?
Jada was the most confused in this situation. When she had seen Jaai walk into the hall back at the birthday hall, she had thought that her life had come to an end. She had thought that Jaai would confess to the grandpa about her infidelity and ruin her life.
If Jaai had done that, not only Jada would face the consequence. The entire family of Elaine my face the risk of getting kicked out of the Hullevard family for life!
Jada had thought that things would go ugly for her in that moment, but right now, her confusion knew no limit.
Even she didn't know what her mother was on to.
"Will you keep quiet forever? Is that how you will repay me?" Elaine continued. "You don't want to confess your sins to my face? Do you really want me to show you a proof?!"
As Elaine yelled at Jaai, she was cutting his neck with her sharp nails as she pulled him to and fro!!! Although it wasn't intentional, the rough grip of his collar caused him a lot of pain.
Jaai was stupefied. What was Elaine accusing him of? That he cheated on Jada? She has a proof to back it up?
Jaai was shaking his head. It seemed as though his head would explode. Truth is that, he knew that he ought to be acting like someone who has lost his memory, but in a situation like this, he just didn't know what to do.
"Come in!!!" Elaine yelled at the top of her voice.
When she yelled, the door flung open at once.
A petite blonde with flowing hair ran inside. She dropped on her knees. She looked pale and extremely exhausted.
"Tell them what you told me!" Elaine yelled at the lady.
Every gaze shifted in the direction of the maid. There was tears in her eyes. Her eyes were swollen and her eyelids were bloated.
"Master Jaai forced me to sleep with him!!!" The maid exclaimed on top of her voice.
Jaai's head rang a very high note and a sudden headache shot across his head. The severity of this concocted gimmick could make a man slump to his death.
Jada was in utter awe as she stared at the scene. Marcus's jaws dropped to the very floor. Gerard stood their like a silhouette of his own self.
It was very evident from the reactions of the children that they didn't know anything about what their mother was talking about!
"You forcefully slept with a maid?!!!" Elaine slapped Jaai across the face again. "Have you gone mad?"
"You cheated on your wife, my own precious daughter, with a mere maid? You should be castrated!!!" She screamed.
Jaai wanted to break out of character in this situation. No one! No human in the whole wide world could have prepared himself for something so preposterous and unbelievably shocking.
Jaai once thought there was a limit to a charade. But Elaine must have taken over from Lucifer.
"You want divorce right? I'll give it to you!" Elaine suddenly walked out of the foyer.
None of her children could say a word yet. They were also having a hard time processing what the hell was happening.
Elaine stomped back in, bearing a file in her hand. She dropped the file on the table.
"Although from the on set, I had always thought that you were too useless for my daughter! So I prepared a divorce paper hoping that one day you would slip off and make a grave mistake." Elaine went emotional.
"There was a time that I wanted to burn this file up and toss its ashes in the pool. That moment, I started looking at you in a new light. I started to believe that perhaps my father really saw something in you which made him like you."
"But right now I'm so grateful to the most merciful Buddha for not making me comit such a grave mistake!"
She walked to Jaai and grabbed his face.
"Sign this divorce paper now or I'll take this news to the family so that they can know what a monster you are!!!" She screamed.
"Don't stare at me with that face! Yes, it is true!! You were a monster in your past life!" She almost spat in his face.
"How could I even know the truth? Perhaps you lied that you hit your head. Perhaps you can remember everything but are lying!" She screamed.
