As he is welcomed by the system as the user, he is tasked to kill the lackey as a task.

He is confused as is, but composes himself to ask the system what it is; the system replies to him, saying the system is there to help him survive this world.
He asks again,
"Why do I have to kill him? I am alive, aren't I?"
"Are you?" the system replies.
"..."
He couldn't answer that question.
The system adds that if he doesn't complete the task, his sister will die. He is in disbelief; he thinks to himself that he must be dreaming, so he pinches himself. As he feels the pain, he also realizes that his sister might die if he didn't kill the lackey.
But it was not an easy task to kill him, as he was almost always surrounded by two of his subordinates. He thinks and thinks, but can't think of any plan at the moment.
Just as he was going to his job, he noticed the lackey and his subordinates going somewhere. Remond followed him without thinking about anything.
He finds the lackey collecting extortion from other spies like Remond. He thinks to himself while hiding behind a bush nearby, "These people are scum, trash that harms society. The system is right; they deserve to die."
Just as he was running to not be seen by the lackey, he was caught by one of the lackey's subordinates. The subordinate was a fairly tall person and was strong-looking.
The subordinate tried to grab him, but Remond was quick with his feet and was able to dodge him, and then Remond choked the man's throat from behind. The man tried to shake him off but was not successful; then he tried to punch him but couldn't reach him.
He used his elbow to hit Remond, but Remond wouldn't leave him; he continued to choke the man. The reason for Remond's desperation was that if the man got freed, he would alert the lackey and his other subordinate. Remond couldn't do anything to them if the three ganged up on him.
The man gasped for air and clawed at Remond's hand, but couldn't free himself. At last, the man was unconscious, and Remond could run away.
Suddenly, the system interface was in his face.
[Ding]
Killable target detected.
Immediate Task:
Kill the man before you.
Reward: +10 strength.
Healing portion.
Remond looked at the interface and was stunned. Wasn't his task just to kill the lackey? Why is the system trying to kill another person as well?
He asked the system why he had to kill the man as well.
The system replied, "The system has detected that the target has a 70% chance of killing the host; as it is above 50%, the host must eliminate the target to be safe."
The system adds, "The target is going to wake up in 10 seconds," implying the host should kill the target immediately.
As the system counts down the 10-second timer, Remond is thinking about what he should do. Should he listen to the system and do what it says, or should he look for a way to kill the lackey?

"Have 5 seconds already gone? Should I kill him?" Remond thinks to himself.

"Should I or should I not?"

"Can I even kill a person?"

"Shit, what do I do? He" Shit, will wake up now."
Remond frantically looks for something, anything he can use to overpower the subordinate.
Just as he found a sharp-edged rock, he heard the system.

"The target is waking up."
Remond rushed with his rock in his hand, shaking with the thought of killing a human being.
He lunges toward the subordinate, aiming for his head. The subordinate blocks the rock with his hand. He then slams Remond against the ground. Remond vomits a pool of blood gushing out of his mouth.
Remond loses his consciousness as he vomits blood out of his mouth.
The subordinate then prepares Remond to take to his boss (the lackey), carrying him over his shoulder. Remond suddenly wakes up and bites the man in his neck as hard as he can. The subordinate screams in pain, but the man's larynx was bitten, so he was not able to make noise.
Remond's mouth was full of blood from his body as well as the subordinate's. The man was helpless against Remond, who was ready to die to kill him. The fear of death crept over the man, and he was powerless, struggling to save himself. He died with fear in his eyes.
[Ding]
The immediate task condition has been met.
Rewarding the host with a healing potion
The reward has been given to the host.
Remond was barely conscious as he received the potion; he quickly took the potion, and he was healing slowly. He slowly feels no pain and is in a warm, fuzzy feeling as if he were just waking up.
After he was out of the trance of using a healing potion, the reality set in of what he had done. He was soaked in blood, which was more than enough for anyone to hurl up, but Remond was calm as if what he had done was a normal thing to do.
What he has done was no ordinary thing to do; he killed a man without remorse with his teeth at that. It was as if an animal was killing its prey by biting its neck. He didn't know at that time that he was becoming someone who would shake the world upside down.
Now he looks for the other subordinates who were with the lackey. Remond thought, "Wait, how did the system know I would need a healing potion, or was it just a coincidence?"
Another task has emerged as the system announces it.
[Ding]
Kill subordinate number 2.
Reward: +10 vitality.
Remond was unfazed by the task as he thought to himself, "I already killed a person, so what if I kill another? What difference does it make?"
