Kiera flinched and took an instinctive step back. She could almost sense an incredibly cold rage coming from him, like he could freeze the entire block.
"If you have time to complain, you should use it to find that drunk driver instead." Dervan added as he walked past her. "Leave."
Kiera jolted. "Are you insane?! I can't possibly leave Alessia here alone with… with you!"
Dervan halted and turned back to face her slowly. "Hasn't she told you already? She may not have signed the contract yet but your friend belongs to me now. I get to decide who can see her or not."
Kiera's face burned red with rage. "You male b*tch! How dare you–?"
"You have a mission, don't you?" Dervan cut in sharply as he turned away from her, making her flinch. "I'll make it easy for you to enter my apartment, so make sure that it's done today no matter what."
Kiera almost couldn't believe her ears. She scoffed. "And why exactly should I do that for someone like you?"
There was a long moment of silence.
