Kiera stared at him in silence for a long time, then she sniffled and tried wiping her eyes with the back of her hand, but the tears wouldn't stop coming.
"Okay…" She croaked, letting out a breath. "Alright, how many minutes do I have left?"
Dervan glanced at his wristwatch. "Five."
Kiera nodded and sharply turned to the lithe man who was trying to put the file in order with his brows furrowed behind her. "Give me a pen and paper."
Dante raised a brow at her, before he finally registered what she had said.
"Of course." He answered flatly, taking a small notebook and pen out of his trouser pocket.
Kiera seemed a bit taken aback when he handed it to her. 'Does he always carry these around with him?'
She shrugged. Well, she heard Dervan say he was his assistant. The guy probably had to be always prepared for situations that required writing things down.
She scribbled on the notebook quickly, even turning over to the other side of the paper to add a few more words.
