(ON THE SECOND FLOOR)
Glanton, the right-hand man of Hordon, was hiding among the dead corpses of his own people. When Shiva suddenly shot the guy Alexander in front of him, Glanton managed to slip out of Shiva's view—maybe because Shiva didn't consider him a threat.
He lay there pretending to be a corpse, too scared to even think of resisting. He first tried to avoid the sight of Vishnu, thinking Vishnu might counterattack if he noticed movement. But after seeing the precision of Vishnu's gunshots and how fast he reloaded, sheer terror took over him.At that moment he thought, "Who the fuck is this kid? And why the fuck is he attacking us?"
Even though Vishnu was considerably taller than kids of his age group, his face still made his age obvious.
What scared Glanton even more was the other kid—the one killing his comrades with terrifying brutality. Though Vishnu's skill was intimidating, it was Vishi who horrified him more: the way he countered enemy movements using his body, using the gun as distraction before striking weak points with lethal efficiency.
After seeing all this, Glanton was paralyzed by fear. He stayed still like a corpse, hoping he could escape his fate. But as he sensed his surroundings, he realized everyone was already dead. He could feel the blood of his comrades on his own skin and could imagine the gruesome scene in the hall even with his eyes closed.
Suddenly, he heard a voice say,"I guess all of them are dead."
Hearing that, Glanton felt a moment of relief. He thought he might survive.
But then his eyelids were forced open by someone.
When Glanton locked eyes with him, he saw a beast staring down at its prey.It was Vishi.
After opening Glanton's eyelids, Vishi asked coldly,"Where is your boss and the woman you kidnapped?"
Glanton, shocked and trembling, replied,"Our boss is on the top floor… and the woman is inside that room."He slowly pointed toward Room No. 7.
Vishi didn't hesitate. He put a bullet in Glanton's head and muttered,"Fuckin' coward."
After a brief pause, Vishi entered the room while Vishnu stayed outside, looking at the chaos they had created and gathering bodies in one place. But before going in, Vishi said,
"Don't go up there yet. I will kill him."
When he said the last line, a surge of real bloodlust struck Vishnu's senses.
Just then, Vishnu received a call on his mobile-like device. Before the other person could speak, he said,
"When will you be reaching here?"
Shika replied,"Oh, you realized I'd be coming."
"Well, I knew THE SUPREME would send you. You're his precious one," Vishnu answered.
Shika responded with a grin,"Whatever… but it seems your skills still haven't rusted, huh?"
Vishnu then suddenly remembered something he had forgotten—"The darkness knows everything."It was often said in context to his clan.
(ON THE TOP FLOOR)
Hordon and another man were talking strategically, like politicians planning to sabotage an opponent.Hordon said,"Yoshida, then the date is settled for the attack, right?"
The man's real name was unknown to most people, so everyone simply called him by the name of the gang he led. His gang ruled the district adjacent to Hordon's territory.
Yoshida replied,"We could talk about these decisions downstairs at your club, right?"
They walked toward the elevator entrance, but it wasn't working.
Hordon frowned and muttered,"I'm not feeling good about this… When I came up, it was working fine."
He looked at Yoshida with unease as tension slowly began rising in the silent top floor.
