Mingyu falling unconscious made everyone feel so surprised that at one moment everyone froze in shock for a few seconds and in another moment everything became chaotic and everyone rushed towards Mingyu.
Everyone was worried sick, especially Wonwoo who carried him along with Seungcheol and led him on a mattress in the tent. Fortunately, they have Jihoon who is also a medical student who checked him and treated him with appropriate treatment and Wonwoo started tending to him.
Later they got to know that Wonwoo had taken Mingyu to take a dip in the cold water near the waterfall in such cold weather, hearing about it made every single one of their friends feel baffled cause Wonwoo isn't someone who does things recklessly.
But now due to the reckless behaviour of Wonwoo, Mingyu has developed a high fever. They felt speechless about the action of this duo but there was no time to fret about it as everyone had already started busying themselves by packing their bags and all the camping staff due to Jihoon's words that if Mingyu's fever doesn't subside then the situation would become dangerous for him and he would be in an urgent need to be taken to the hospital as soon as possible.
At first after hearing Jihoon saying this solemnly everyone felt worried sick, they wanted to scold Wonwoo because they found it absurd and incomprehensible but after seeing that Wonwoo was feeling so guilty that his eyes had turned red and he was about to cry but he was still trying his best to take care of Mingyu with a calm and expressionless face, they couldn't bring themselves to say anything excessive to him except a few words of scolding.
Fortunately, Mingyu's fever went down quickly after taking some medicines and resting and it literally made everyone breathe a sigh of relief.
But this situation with Mingyu scared everyone so much that they still accelerated their return home.
In between all these things, Jeonghan noticed that there was some tension between Mingyu and Wonwoo and after observing Seungcheol he was sure that Seungcheol too has noticed something going on between them.
He should ask about it to see if Seungcheol knows anything, Jeonghan thought to himself so he wanted to sit beside Seungcheol when everyone started settling themselves on the seats but even though Jeonghan purposely kept the seat beside him empty and even patted the seat when Seungcheol was looking for a place to sit but Seungcheol just straight up acted like he didn't see Jeonghan and went to sit far away at the back seat.
This action of Seungcheol made Jeonghan feel blank at first and then furious and hurt. His heart dropped when Seungcheol passed by him to sit so far away from him.
He is unable to understand what the hell is wrong with Seungcheol?!
Seriously this camping trip has made Jeonghan completely aware that he couldn't take things lightly now. He needs to have a serious talk with Seungcheol cause something has gone seriously wrong between them. It's not a childish tantrum they used to throw when they were school kids but something more serious. Because Jeonghan used to always believe that nothing would go wrong between them no matter what, was why he underestimated the situation at first but not anymore.
Thinking about these things made Jeonghan feel restless and uneasy. When he looked back to see what Seungcheol was doing, he saw that Seungcheol was a busy text. He usually doesn't get angry easily just like Joshua and Minghao but his temper flared up when he thought about how Seungcheol was busy chatting with Sara while he couldn't spare some time to spend time with him.
He was so angry that without thinking he scolded Seungcheol loudly in front of everyone, saying that if all he was gonna do was text and call his girlfriend the whole time then why did he bother coming to the trip?
The atmosphere around froze.
Still, even though Seungcheol admitted his mistake and apologised quickly with a guilty expression while explaining his girlfriend's clingyness it just made Jeonghan feel more irritated but he didn't say anything else.
To resolve this awkward moment, one of their friends started cracking a joke and others joined him which finally lightened the situation but Jeonghan's mind drifted away somewhere else.
He suddenly remembered how Seungcheol used to get jealous when sometimes some of their friends or classmates used to take up Jeonghan's time in their school days. It's always been like this since the time they became friends. Seungcheol has always been possessive and protective of the things or people close to him.
He used to always be by Jeonghan's side, he never allowed anyone else to take that place beside him but since when did things start to change so drastically?
Was it because he got used to Seungcheol's presence so much that he started taking Seungcheol for granted?
He admits that he is in the wrong and he knows it. He wants to mend the things between him and Seungcheol but what if Seungcheol never gives him the chance to do it? What if he keeps running towards Seungcheol but Seungcheol keeps going away further and further from him?
'No, I must be overthinking. There's no way we have reached a breaking point. I can still fix things between us' Jeonghan thought to himself before falling asleep while leaning his head on his seat.
Jeonghan wasn't the only one who was feeling restless.
Seungcheol who got scolded by Jeonghan felt like his heart was hurting a lot even though he didn't show it on his face.
He doesn't know what to do anymore.
He can't be closer to Jeonghan due to his feelings as well as his promise to someone but he can't watch or imagine how hurt Jeonghan must have felt when he ignored him just now. Till now everything was okay cause Jeonghan didn't notice his deliberate behaviour of distancing himself from Jeonghan but now that Jeonghan has started to notice it, it's becoming hard for him to carry on.
He just wants Jeonghan to be happy. It's just a simple wish but why is it so hard to achieve?
