Seungcheol tried to distract himself by playing and busying his mind on his phone until he switched places with Vernon as a driver to let Vernon rest.
After parking the van in the parking lot of their shared apartment building and getting out of the van with his own luggage, he was inexplicably handed Wonwoo's and Mingyu's luggage by both of them as they excused themselves saying that they have something more important to deal with.
Seungcheol felt speechless cause he was already very tired after driving for a long time and now he needs to drag three persons luggage by himself to their shared apartment.
He sighed helplessly as he reached out to hold Wonwoo's luggage when he heard someone say,
" Hyung let me help you"
Seungcheol lifted his head to see Minghao coming to help him and he suddenly felt like there was a holy light illuminating Minghao's entire being. Seungcheol felt so thankful that he was about to cry dramatically but he just ended up thanking Minghao frankly with a grateful smile.
Seungcheol and Minghao were the first to head inside the building while their other friends took their sweet time to descend the van.
After entering the elevator, Seungcheol looked at Minghao and saw that Minghao's lips were quirked up. He didn't understand what Minghao was smiling about. But then suddenly the words Minghao said earlier while eating breakfast came to his mind.
'It's because hyung is so cute that he makes people want to mislead him'
The words, the expression, the teasing look in Minghao's eyes at that time. He recalled everything.
Seungcheol started feeling a burning sensation on his cheeks.
He didn't think deeply about it before but now that he's thinking about it his heartbeat increased as he started feeling confused.
Was Minghao flirting with him at that time or is it just him who is thinking too much? And why is he even blushing? Why is the thought of Minghao's flirting with him affecting him so much??
While Seungcheol was lost in his own world, the elevator's door dinged open. Minghao got off on his floor while Seungcheol's apartment was on two floors above. Minghao waved bye to Seungcheol with a 'see you later' and went off towards his apartment with his luggage.
Seungcheol nodded in response to Minghao, trying to keep a straight face. Closed the elevator door with a straight face, got to his floor with a straight face, managed to drag the two times more luggage into the apartment with a straight face, carelessly threw Mingyu's and Wonwoo's luggage in their respective rooms with a straight face and entered his room..
He couldn't keep his face straight anymore!
Is his life not complicated enough! Why is his brain suggesting things that are impossible?! Why would Minghao flirt with him?! It's absurd! Maybe he said it as a friend! Yes... friends do joke around like that so that must be it.
Seungcheol concluded. But why is his brain messing with him today since morning?! Argh!
Seungcheol pulled at his hairs as if it would help him throw the messy thoughts out of his brain.
Finally he got up to unpack and arrange his own luggage. He should visit Sara after tidying up his things, she would feel really surprised and happy to see him cause he didn't inform her that he was going to arrive ahead of the originally decided time.
Seungcheol smiled while thinking about how she would react. But in the end he was the one who ended up feeling surprised.
Sara lived in the same building as them just like many other students as the building is situated near their University campus so in no time he reached two floor below to visit Sara but to his surprise the door of her apartment was slightly open. It wasn't locked.
His first thought was, 'huh? She has became careless. I should remind her to not do this again. It's not safe'.
He opened the door and entered without thinking too much when he saw that in the hall, on the sofa, his girlfriend was kissing someone.
And that someone was a girl.
'What in the world?!!'
Seungcheol stood in a place, shell-shocked.
Sara sensed Seungcheol's presence and seperated from the girl with the speed of lightning.
'Seungcheol' she whispered with a worried expression.
Though she whispered softly, it brought Seungcheol out from his daze and he felt the anger rising within him. He doesn't like to be around anyone wherever he is angry so he stormed off without saying anything.
But Sara chased after him, catching up to him and holding his hand anxiously. Pulling him and trying to stop him from going.
"S-seungcheol please let me explain"
She said but Seungcheol didn't stop as her efforts were in vain. He was feeling really angry.
"Seungcheol...please please please" Sara pleaded with her eyes turning red and she looked like she was about to cry her voice cracked, Seungcheol finally turned to face her.
He shook off her hand and asked coldly, " What's there to explain? Isn't everything as clear as a day?" He gritted his teeth while saying the word 'day'.
"No Seungcheol it's not like that I-" Sara started but Seungcheol cut her explanation off mid sentence.
"I don't want to hear any excuses Sara, let's break up"
When he told her that he doesn't want to hear any excuses he really thought that she was just going to make up excuses cause he believed in what he saw. He saw that she was enjoying the kiss and she was so much into it that it took her a while to notice him standing and looking at them.
It made him think that he wouldn't have known how she kisses someone else so passionately if not for them returning back from trip earlier and him not informing her because he wanted to surprise her. How long would he be kept in the dark if not for him encountering it coincidentally? Has this happened before too? Is this the reason why she always keeps checking on him all the time?
All these dark and negative thoughts were whirling in his mind so when Sara wanted him to listen to her explanation he felt like she just wanted to find excuses.
In the end, the thought that dominated his mind was, 'Why does this keep happening with me? I want to treat people sincerely then why do I end up getting hurt? Am I not meant to be together with anyone? Am I not meant to have someone by my side??'
These thoughts made him want to break up and break away the attempts of Sara trying to mend the things between them. He is meant to be alone!
Seeing that Seungcheol doesn't want to listen to her and keeps mentioning about wanting to break up, Sara felt rage rising in her. She angrily pushed Seungcheol's shoulder with force and said,
" You just want to break up right?!! You don't even want to listen to my explanation!!"
"Have you ever even loved me?!!!"
"HOW CAN YOU BE SO COLD HEARTED!!!"
Sara's outburst made Seungcheol freeze.
