As he spoke, Alex glanced at Haunter, who had been with him long enough to understand his intentions. Haunter floated over to Emily.
"Haunter, use Hypnosis," Alex instructed coldly. "Forget what happened before. You only need to remember that I'm the closest person to you. I'll provide you with a sense of security. You should trust me."
Under Haunter's Hypnosis, Emily's demeanor shifted.
She now saw Alex as her first love, recalling how they attended school together, went on spring outings, and watched Pokémon competitions.
With Alex by her side, she felt completely at ease.
Satisfied with the change, Alex's lips curled into a smile. Haunter's Hypnosis had proven effective, its increased combat power significantly enhancing the skill's potency.
"Emily, pour me a beer," Alex requested.
