Chapter 3 - Hun Clan's Cold Mines!

To someone this pretentious, Su Han had no intention of embarrassing them. Such people held grudges easily, and in his eyes, it was best to turn the tables on them.

The moment the woman looked down, she discovered an evil grin on his face as he looked at her. It was menacing that she took a step back.

Even the address changed completely.

"This Friend doesn't need my help. Sorry for my meddling." She explained herself as she retreated. But Su Han's gaze on her became deep and thoughtful.

'Something is very wrong with this woman. That is not something a child her age should say.'

Even though he had such a thought, he had no plans to do anything about it. He had succeeded in his goal of making her think he was a madman and avoid him at all costs.

Madmen are feared everywhere, especially in the world of cultivation. The Hun clan was obviously not an exception, as a madman was someone who would give up a life-changing opportunity to block your path.

In their current situation, the woman felt it was not worthwhile to offend some madman, as he might end up messing with their plans.

He watched as she retreated completely before he stopped staring at her.

"Mu Waner! Weren't you going to recruit that kid over there? What happened?" When she returned to her previous location, a handsome young man asked her.

He had unusual blond hair, which was not common among people in this region.

"Brother Wen! That is a madman. It is best if we have less contact with him from now on, or he might turn maniac anytime and ruin our good things." The woman warned as she looked at the blond man.

"What? Where did the Hun clan find this band of slaves? Aren't they all supposed to be their descendants? How can someone crazy be among them?" Blonde Wen asked.

"Isn't it even normal! Do you really think that people who grow up in the Hun clan are mentally steady? I reckon that one is even more normal, but those who are pretending to be normal are even more mentally corrupted. Be careful of them, too." Mu Waner warned as she looked around vigilantly.

"Right! Brother Wen! This is the Hun clan. Just raise your head and look in the sky before asking yourself if anyone staying in such a place will not go mad?" A man at the side of the two of them interjected.

"Huh! Gong Ming! What are you doing here?" Blonde Wen asked in shock.

"Hehe! Since you were able to sneak into the Hun clan, why can't I be able to do the same?" Instead of answering, the man asked in a sarcastic tone.

The interesting thing was that even though the three of them were busy conversing, no one around them was able to hear what they were saying in the slighest.

It was as though they had soundproofing around them.

Su Han had completely achieved the impact he wanted. Now, everyone was labeled as a maniac; he wouldn't be the only focus, but it would also make those with their schemes wary and avoid him.

It was also because he was sharp and had already discovered something was very wrong with a certain group of people in this group.

He was not planning on exposing them for many reasons, but the most important was that what they intended to do was probably going to give him the opportunity he needed.

He had no plans of being a slave for the Hun clan.

It was just that he was powerless to do anything by himself, but when an opportunity arose, things might not be the same.

Just as he was lost in thought, a familiar voice sounded.

"All of you gather!" The voice was clearly that of the elder who had been calling them trash all day as he tested the bloodline awakening.

Su Han, just like the others, also approached.

The elder looked at the numbers, and the disdain in the depths of his eyes intensified.

"The Hun clan has cultivated you and fed you for years. It is your own fault that you can't even awaken the clan bloodline. This time, the clan is going to give you an opportunity. " When he said this, his gaze swept over everyone.

"In the cold mines, as long as you can perform well, then the clan will not mind providing you with some divine medicine that can assist in awakening the bloodline. Such an opportunity is not for everyone; only those who are willing to fight for it will get it." The moment these words were said, Su Han's heart tensed.

He had already realized that going to the cold mines was far from simple. Perhaps this was a path of no return, and as he turned his head, he noticed the heat in the eyes of everyone present. He caught a few faces from before that were pretending to be excited, but deep down in their eyes, he saw a strange disdain.

'I was right! There is indeed a problem with this old man's words. What Hun clan? This is far dangerous than a demonic den!' He reached this conclusion, but had no sadness. He wasn't disappointed, as he held no expectations for the Hun clan to begin with.

The words of the elder about those who performed well being rewarded, he just took them as nonsense.

Such low-level tricks could only be used on little kids who had not seen much of the world.

When he just observed the reactions of those who seemed to be planning something, he noticed a hint of disdain at the celebrations everyone was having when divine medicine was mentioned.

Clearly, they knew that this situation couldn't be more of a sham.

He kept this to himself, as he was not some hero. He only acted to benefit himself, and speaking up would not only endanger his life but also destroy any chance he had of escape.

Why would he harm himself for strangers?

"Follow me! To the cold mines!" The voice of the elder sounded, and it pulled everyone's attention to him.
