After escaping from Earth, Vegeta flew his spaceship straight to an asteroid.
The moment he landed, a group of soldiers in combat uniforms immediately surrounded the ship.
When they saw Vegeta's battered appearance, shock filled their faces. One gasped, "Who could have hurt Lord Vegeta so badly?"
Another added, "And Nappa didn't return with Vegeta-sama either…"
The leader commanded, "Quickly take Lord Vegeta to the medical bay! He cannot delay treatment with injuries this severe!"
A short while later, Vegeta was in the treatment cabin.
When he woke, staff handed him a new combat suit. After donning it, he prepared to leave.
One staff member called out, "Sir Vegeta, you forgot your power detector!"
Vegeta glanced at it dismissively.
"I don't need this now," he said and walked out without looking back.
As Vegeta moved down the corridor, he encountered someone he despised: Cui.
Cui sneered, "Look at you, Vegeta! I never thought that after Earth, not only are you badly injured, but two of your men are dead. Pathetic."
Vegeta's eyes turned cold. "Cui, if you keep talking nonsense, I won't hesitate to kill you right here."
Cui, unbothered by Vegeta's threat, waved a hand. "Relax. I have good news. Because of you, King Frieza has learned about Namek and discovered the magical Dragon Balls. With them, he can grant any wish."
Vegeta froze. "What did you say?"
Cui continued, "Frieza has already left for Namek. Once he obtains eternal life, he will rule the universe forever."
Vegeta roared, "That bastard Frieza! I can't just sit here and wait! If he gains eternal life, it's over for me!"
He turned and sprinted outside.
Cui followed, shouting, "Vegeta! Are you planning to betray King Frieza?"
Vegeta snatched up the detector as he passed a staff member, placing it over his right eye. "I still need this—for now."
Vegeta boarded his spaceship and blasted off toward Namek.
Cui followed closely, boarding another ship to chase him.
Sneering, Cui muttered, "Finally… you, Vegeta, have chosen to betray Frieza. Your death will be mine to claim."
Meanwhile, Vegeta gritted his teeth. "Damn Frieza… I must reach Namek first. I cannot let him gain eternal life."
Since childhood, Frieza had dominated Vegeta. Now, he refused to endure it any longer.
Calming himself, Vegeta smiled. "The battle on Earth wasn't a total loss. At least I've grown stronger. Kakarot… Frieza… soon, you will be beneath my feet."
On Earth, a large spaceship had stopped in front of the Z Warriors.
Goku and Bulma stood together as Bulma explained the ship's controls.
Many settings were preprogrammed, so the Z Warriors only needed to master the basics.
Goku said, "I had Bulma install three gravity training rooms on this ship. They can simulate gravity from one to a hundred times normal, so you can train on the way to Namek. Take it slow—if you overdo it, no one will be responsible."
"One hundred times gravity? No wonder you're so strong, Goku!" Krillin said, pushing Goku's arm with a smile.
Bulma laughed. "That's only one hundred! But Goku has already adapted to four hundred times gravity!"
"What?! Four hundred times gravity? Is this still human?" Yamcha exclaimed.
The others were equally stunned.
Piccolo clenched his fists silently. He resolved to master the one hundred times gravity rooms, or he would never catch up to Goku.
Excited and motivated, the six Z Warriors preparing to depart were Piccolo, Tien Shinhan, Krillin, Yamcha, Chiaotzu, and Son Gohan.
Gohan turned to his father. "Dad, I'm leaving first!"
Goku smiled. "Alright. Gain experience, but don't overdo it."
With that, the group prepared to depart for Namek, each aware that intense training and new adventures awaited them.
