Chapter 11 - Chapter 011: Lilith Kingsley Is Still Alive

They both looked at me in horror while sitting on the floor.

"These are not yours," I said, looking at the earrings.

"They are Amelia's."

"She gave that to us," one found her voice, and still argued with me.

"These were gifts from our eldest brother. Do you really think I'd believe you if you say that she gave them to you?"

Amelia rarely uses jewelry, unless it is an official event. But she always uses what was gifted to her by our family. She never buys for herself.

That is why her jewelry was also minimal.

I looked down at them oppressively.

"Who do you think you are?"

"She... Amelia... she..."

I raised my hand.

*Slap*

*Slap*

They slowly looked back at me after I gave them two resounding slaps.

They seemed to think that it was outrageous for me to slap them.

"I know what you did to her," I squatted and said.

"I know who you are, mere pawns. You're nothing but lizard's tails. Easily cut off once they're of no use."

"We- We did not do anything."

I smiled.

The waterworks have arrived.

"You were so proud of yourselves when you were slapping her here. Have you forgotten?" I said, my voice turning to a whisper.

But I knew better.

My whispers frightened people more than my normal tone ever could.

And it is the easiest to use when it comes to these hatchlings.

They trembled, the exact reaction I wanted.

"She never trembled in fear while you all laugh as you look down on her. Why are you trembling now?"

I once again raised my hand and used more force in slapping them.

This time, blood trickled down their lips.

"Don't cry. Don't tremble. Because she never did."

The only time Amelia cried was when she knew something would go wrong and had honestly said that she was scared.

Despite that, with all the bullying. Not once did she show any weakness.

She faced them, even though she could not fight back.

Despite being so mischievous, she dared not hurt anyone.

*Slap*

*Slap*

"I said, don't cry. This was normal. This was what you did to her."

The two girls hiccupped in fear. They must have wished to faint at this moment.

But why would I let them?

These two, along with that dog from yesterday, were the ones who enjoyed bullying Amelia the most.

Of course, many others are there.

Even those who held positions of power joined in.

Because Amelia was an achiever.

She was outshining the rest of her schoolmates just like her brothers.

And those who were once outshone by my brothers have also joined in the fun of preying on one single girl.

Stupid Amelia.

She did not need to endure.

She should have just run away.

I stood up and pulled the chair, sitting on it.

"Look me straight in the eyes," I ordered.

Somehow, my thoughts of hitting them more dwindled.

I only found it tiring to stay here any longer.

In their fear, they dared not do what I told them to.

My fingers tapped rhythmically on the table.

The only sound in the room was my rhythmic tapping.

"Listen to me," I slowly said.

They continued looking at me in a trance-like state.

"After stepping out of this room, you will fall off the stairs. When you wake up in the hospital, you will say that you fell off while helping me bring down Amelia's things."

They slowly nodded their heads.

"You will also return all the jewelry you took to the Kingsley villa. And when asked about what happened inside the room, all I did was ask you to return her jewelry. Do you understand?"

"Yes."

I stood up and walked to the door.

When I opened it, all the onlookers were in the same state as the other two.

Through the university speakers, rhythmic tapping echoed.

"All of you will help me in bringing down Amelia's things. While these two would fall on the stairs as they help out. Do you understand?"

"Yes," they all replied.

I looked at the CCTV camera before returning inside the room.

I packed Amelia's things with the prepared boxes inside and her luggage.

She barely has anything I need to return to the villa. Some of them were just disposable things.

After an hour, the students were helping out, and right before I got inside my car, which was already below the dorm building, I heard a shout coming from the staircase.

I got inside and left without another word.

But as I was driving back to the villa, my uncle once again called.

"I understand that you felt aggrieved with how they were acting, but you have dismissed two of the longest-serving personnel of the school. This will impact our-"

"Then should I let them look down on the Kingsleys, Uncle?" I interrupted.

I was no longer in the mood to play with him.

"Of course not. But we need to take it slow, especially during these dire times."

"Uncle, it seems that you have also forgotten about this niece of yours."

"What do you mean?"

"I am the most difficult child in the family. Do you think I'd take it easy?"

"..."

I glanced at the phone, "Richard Kingsley."

My grip on the steering wheel tightened.

"I am Lilith Kingsley, the problem child of Leonard Kingsley and Hannah Cross. The notorious troublemaker of the Kingsley Family. I was only gone for two years, and you seemed to have thought I had changed."

"Lilith," there was a change in his tone.

His anger is slightly leaking.

"Richard, I only called you uncle a few times, but that does not mean I have changed. Too bad for everyone, the remaining descendant of Leonard Kingsley is none other than me. The most difficult to deal with."

I ended the call before he could say anything else.

For now, I have announced to them.

Lilith Kingsley is still alive.
