Scene setting
Faith's inner thoughts, Cerebrum
So like it's been a month since we've met Bo and life is good. I get to sleep in a bed with little to no bedbugs, the geyser doesn't become bipolar in the morning and I miss the squeaking tiles but the marble floors will do.
Jane is happier, don't know if she realised she's employed or just enjoys Bo's benefits.
"Faith, why would I ruin my clothes making coffee for stuck-up moms if I can ruin them with Bo–" her voice echoed in my mind.
As for Bobbi, she's...different. Like not her 'You should think about the future Faith' way more like as long as nobody is dead I'm holding Bo accountable sense. Never thought I'd see the day she isn't rushing to get me ready for classes and wrangle Jane into her boots as the Vamp loves a show before heading to work. The last time Bobbi snapped at me was about laundry. Definitely still my overprotective, bike-loving sister just a bit in love with the Carpenter.
As for me and him...I'm definitely not ready for any of the stuff I hear at night, but soft kisses and a picnic at the botanical garden would be a dream~"
"Faith, why are you smiling like that...it's weird, stop it." A voice said, pulling her out of her daydream.
The culprit was Bobbi, smirking at her with the infuriating hands-on-her-hips pose.
"Did you forget to take your pills?" She teased.
"Don't start Bobbi. You'll get another tattoo infection. "
"Wow–that's a low blow."
"I can go even lower." Freckles warned.
The siblings stared at each other in their usual duel of insults, nothing was off limits, except for body weight and small insecurities.
"Let's call it a draw."
"Fine by me."
They shook each other's hands with scepticism, bodies tensed in case of any hidden weapons.
"Oh–my, did I miss a White off?"
"Don't call it that," Bobbi warned.
"Yeah, don't utter that in public. " Faith added.
"Do you prefer the battle of the Redheads?" Jane instigated, eyes shining with mischief.
Bobbi, to their surprise didn't confront her but did something scummier. "Bo, Jane is talking about sacrificing Todd again!"
"Bobbi, you–"
"Jane, we talked about not doing rituals on people you find intolerable. " A tired voice called out. Bo came in joggers and an open light blue long-sleeve shirt. "Baby Bat. Do I need to hide the hex book again?"
"Nooo! I just got it back you heartless monster!" She shrieked, running to the book of spells she had left on the coffee table.
Bo moved with sudden speed not meant for a guy who works on furniture. As Jane's fingers touched the spine of the book, he held her wrist gently, pulling her into his chest.
"Bo, please...just one spell." She pleaded, dramatically reaching her hands out to grab the book. "I'll cry, Bo. This is Vamp trauma. "
"You'll get it tomorrow," he responded, holding her in his arms, chin resting on the top of her head. "There's no use in fighting it."
"I hate you."
"Sure you do."
Jane gave up all resistance, accepting her fate in his clutches and snuggling into his left shoulder. "I'll turn you into a frog tomorrow."
"And whose gonna make you the bat-shaped cookie then?"
"Darn you for being useful. "
He chuckled, holding her close. "Come on Reds' it's a group hug."
"Yeah, no way." Bobbi dismissed the offer, moving around them.
"Faith?" He asked.
"I'm coming. " She shuffled over, planting her head to his back muscles, arms around his waist. "This is nice."
"That's the Bo charm freckles, enjoy it."
"Don't call me freckles, you knockoff Elvida."
"That's actually a compliment to me~"
"You're insufferable Jane."
"Love you too, Faith."
"Do insults have to be our love language?" Bo asked.
"Yes!" Bobbi answered from the hallway.
Faith~
Honestly, the bus thing was the best thing that happened to me in a while.
PS– Still not over it.
