The coldness in the air certainly wasn't something she was ready for, but she had to confront it anyway. The lights in the room came on as if knowing that she was there. Just like it had in the previous room,
She stepped in, the heaviness of her breath settling in her lungs. The air smelt like steel, and coldness dried out the roof of her nostrils. If her wolf were with her, she would be warm. Every moment in this place had reminded her of that absence, and her heart had clenched around that hollowness with each remembrance.
But she couldn't permit herself the time to think of that. She was on a mission here and the clock was ticking.
So, she stepped in.
Carefully.
A step further.
Two steps further, and then her eyes fell on the table some distance away from her.
