The morning sun shone through the Hufflepuff dormitory as Fred and George Weasley appeared at Roy's door, giggling mischievously. "We brought some of our newest prank products," Fred announced, holding a small bag of strange, bubbling items. George added, "We want your opinion—see if they're actually usable."
Roy took the products and studied them carefully. "Alright, I'll try these on you first," he said with a grin. Carefully, he fed each twin their respective prank product. Small bursts of harmless chaos followed—smoke, harmless sparks, and a few colorful explosions—but nothing dangerous. Roy then analyzed the chemical and magical composition of the products.
"These are good, but I have a few ideas to improve the effects and stability," Roy said, jotting notes down quickly. He explained small adjustments in magical catalyzers and timing of reaction triggers. Fred and George's eyes lit up. "This is brilliant! We can't wait to try your ideas!" they exclaimed, rushing off to implement the improvements.
Later that day, Roy attended his Potion class, where Hufflepuff shared lessons with Ravenclaw students. The classroom was dark, filled with the scent of herbs and simmering concoctions. Professor Snape was already there, scrutinizing students as they entered.
"Valvas," Snape said sharply, his eyes narrowing. "Let's see if your knowledge of potions is as exceptional as rumored. Tell me the difference between a Draught of Peace and a Calmness Elixir, and the ideal brewing temperature for each."
Roy answered confidently, giving detailed explanations about ingredients, timings, and magical stabilizers. Snape listened intently, questioning further about complex mixtures and rare potion methods. Roy responded smoothly, never missing a beat. However, during this exchange, Snape did not award any points yet.
Roy was then paired with Susan Bones to work on a potion together. Using his extensive knowledge and previously acquired potion formulas, he upgraded the potion to a more efficient and powerful version—improving its effects, reducing brewing time, and stabilizing volatile reactions.
Snape's piercing eyes widened as he tasted the potion. A rare, approving smile flickered across his face. "Impressive," he said curtly. He awarded 10 points to Hufflepuff, shocking both the Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs alike. Whispers spread through the classroom, and by evening, every student at Hogwarts knew about Roy's achievement.
As Roy left the classroom, Fred and George rushed over, clapping him on the back. "Congratulations, Roy! Getting points from Snape is basically legendary!"
Ron Weasley, however, scowled from a distance, jealousy written all over his face. Meanwhile, Harry Potter smiled, happy for his new friend and impressed by his skill.
Roy glanced toward Hermione, Daphne, and Cassandra, noticing that they were blushing and whispering among themselves. "What's going on?" he asked playfully.
Hermione quickly looked away, while Daphne and Cassandra shook their heads. "Nothing," they murmured, their faces still pink. Roy smirked knowingly but didn't press further, enjoying the small moment of admiration from his friends.
By the end of the day, Roy had not only helped the twins improve their pranks but also solidified his reputation as a potion prodigy at Hogwarts—someone both friends and rivals would remember.
