Han Ren was the only one who was confused. His view of world and human beings were different. He could not miss anything in his memory yet he was puzzled. Was he really Han Ren or someone unknown. The word unknown was truly mysterious yet the only way to describe it was through the mouth of Han Zhen.
His mind was now clear. He had already taken a gasps of what was happening.
Suddenly, Han Zhen spoke with low voice. "I am Zhen of Han Sect". It was the greetings before the duel. Han Ren stood motionless as if to mock the opponent.
The fear Han Zhen showed that time seemed to dissipate. He was fully prepared for what's to come.
It was a not advantageous situation for Han Ren. Opponent was already at Qi Awakening second layer. In the second their dantian is expanded and they can store more Qi, their attacks becomes stronger and profound. On the other hand Han Ren was just a mortal.
A smirk tugged in Han Ren lips. Eyes shaded in boredom. "I am just a mortal whose dantian is shattered. I am just powerless". He continued. His eyes cold. "Even in this condition you couldn't even lift your hand in my face. Are you that much of a coward Han Zhen?"
His words were like a sharp blade piercing his very skin. No one could endure a insult that much and for a cultivator that is akin to their path.
Han Zhen eyes twitched, his hand gripping his sword. "Today I Han Zhen will kill you for what you have done until now?''
He was now fully immersed to beat Han Ren.
He rushed forward clenching his fist towards Han Ren. It seemed Han Ren words deepened him, not using his internal energy in a duel was just a suicide. He had underestimated Han Zhen.
Swoosh! His attack was powerful and fast but to a opponent who knows where the strike would launch was easy to dodge. With a sidestep Han Ren dodge the strike.
"Huh!"
Han Ren clenched his fist, his body totally synchronizing with his mind. Without giving him any opening Han Ren struck a deadly blow to his chin. Bam!
Han Zen staggered for a bit, he senses were dulled. A drop of blood was pouring from his mouth. For a moment his thoughts bended with him. But that single moment was enough for Han Ren to strike another blow to his throat. "Urgh!" Han Zhen eyes rolled back, he was now unable to fight. But Han Ren had a different plan. He raised his hand and grab Han Zhen hair, so he would not fall. He was now showing the example to the others. He began his ruthless pounding to his face. Thud! Thud! Every strike was strong and fast. Han Zhen face was now fully covered by his own blood. His face swollen. After striking for a minute Han Ren threw the body to the side. His eyes were cold, "Next".
Fear grasped the disciples. The massacred he showed was truly treacherous. One disciple whispered, "Monster". The air filled with a dense smell of blood and malice. Now no one dared to even look him in the eye. Everyone present in the outer sect were just on second layer of Qi Awakening. And a second layer just lost miserably to a mortal having shattered dantian.
"It seems no none dare to step for a duel, then I shall announce Han Ren as the victor", his voice loud.
Today the Han Sect witness the performance of Han Ren. It was not luck that had him win. It was his calculating mind from the beginning. From the very moment he stepped in the ring, not replying to Han Zhen greetings. Deliberately mocking him, showing his very weakness to deal greater damage. The very duel was in is palm from the very beginning. Han Ren was consumed by anger and his pride that ruled is path. The insults from Han Ren was just enough for him to lose control.
In the same night. "This Courtyard is big enough for a outer disciple". The Han sect had three different courtyard. One for outer disciples and other two for inner disciple. The courtyard given for outer disciple may not be lavish or grand but they could cultivate peacefully there, and one room was given to Han Ren.
It was finally time for Han Ren to absorbed the Qi condensing pill. Without any delay, he sat crossed leg. In his right hand condensing pill and on the right was a breathing technique of Han clan. A person cannot cultivates until one learns a breathing technique. The manual he had was called breathless form. It was just a normal technique practiced by outer disciples.
Han Ren already knew the technique from the memory but he had a hard time practicing it. There were some loop holes in the manual. He didn't have any idea to restore it but he could maximize it's limits.
This technique helps the person to sense and absorb the Qi from the surrounding. Just like air, it was also present in the dimension intangible, invisible to human eyes. Before absorbing the pill he intended to master the breathing technique.
His posture straight. He pressed both palms together. The middle and ring finger folded against each other, while the rest aligned perfectly. His right thumb touched the left same with other fingers, index to index, little to little, forming his own hand sign for a breathing technique. Back in his previous world he learned it at Buddhist monastery. The two folded fingers represented the Qi in a perfectly balanced condition yet stills alive. The remaining fingers act as a pillar, guiding the flow of Qi through his meridians. He instantly raised his hand and swallowed the pill, his very dantian began absorbing the pill. His energy steady, breathing was perfectly balanced with the and sign. Now all he had to do was guide the Qi through his blood vessels to all the veins through out his body. The timing and skill it asked was far greater than anything. One mistake and his Qi will go berserk. The shattered dantian was now being repaired, a small amount of Qi could be sensed in his body. His face showed signs of collapse, but his will was greater. He tightened his jaw, sweat dropped could be heard loudly.
After several hours, a gust of wind scattered devouring surrounding areas. The force was greater than anything. A light yellow colored could be seen from far away.
Han Ren had finally ascended.
