Chapter 5 - Chapter 5:- The New Partner Kron

When one transcends, the whole world feels it's presence. But Han Ren advancement was unexpected and mysterious. He didn't transcend through normal means. His advancement itself was otherworldly. The heavens had sensed his presence. He had officially entered the Dao.

He slowly opened his eyes, scanning his body. His eye narrowed, his lip curved upward. A dark smirk left his mouth. He had finally transcend to Qi Awakening third layer. Not many in the whole TianLen world could easily broke through three layers, not in the case of a shattered dantian. Han Ren was not just a genius but an observer.

From the beginning he was just observing others, their facial expression, their body structure, their very posture in everything. He came to realize that in this world to survive he have to be an observer first than a genius. The art to observing cannot be comprehend by any normal means.

But a sudden realization hit him hard, "What would an empty vessel with strong foundation even do, If it didn't have any skills", he muttered, his eyes losing all interest. Of course it was true an skill that will define him and his Dao will obviously be needed in future.

He stepped from his bed, and moved towards the corridor near him. It was just made with some wood that would hardly fit one attire.

He placed his palm on the lock and opened it slowly. His eyes widened. A faint smile appeared in his face. It was confusing that attire on the corridor was a Dark robe, lined with glowing gold, the aroma from the robe itself was truly satisfying. But it was also confusing why would that attire be there. He had expected it to be another robe from the Han Sect but it was truly different.

Without any delay he wore the robe. His attire was too gorgeous, reflecting the very one he once admire.

He slowly moved to the wooden door to seek the morning sunlight. Crack! The sound of door opening, birds chippiring, rivers flowing and sunlight smoothly striking him. The view the nature provided was too astonishing.

For a moment his thoughts were solely on the sun and it's shining light.

But he couldn't astonish it longer, he had to do certain things.

Sudden realization struck him. "Aalas I have to see the mission from the mission box. He hudderily moved to the mission centre. The misson center in the Han Sect were only for the outer disciples. The inner disciple got mission directly from the elders or their's pavilion.

They would get merit point according to the danger of mission by which they can exchange martial skills or pill from the sect.

And Han Ren didn't had any merits so it was natural for him to not having any manuals.

The mission center was just a name. Everyone could choose their own mission and Han Ren was going to do the same. He immediately picked the first mission from the board and turned away.

The commissioner name was hidden but the challenge was real. After seeing it's content, Han Ren hands trembled slightly. It was the same sensation from that time. " check the Jingshi peak? Huh!"

The title was simple yet suppressing. His heart skipped a beat, his face pale. The Jingshi peak was the place where surviving was not even the option. It was the home of Jingshi Dragon. But the real problem was not the dragon as none had seen it yet. But the problem was its terrain, situated at the peak, no way in and out.

What horror might awaken this time?

Back in the Courtyard. In his room Han Ren was mediating cross legged. His Qi was now stabilized.

After two hours of meditation he finally woke up. He was prepared for his journey. His mind was clear. He was just waiting for the night to end.

In the morning, he wore the same robe walked towards the stable. The stable was located at the western edge from the courtyard. In the Han Sect, outer disciples could rent the horses from the stable for any mission.

Han Ren could see the board of Outer beast stable from a mile away. It was truly confusing that a small letters could be seen from far away. "Are they using some kind of an array?", he muttered. But he didn't dare to ask. If he had asked there might arise some suspicion because the real Han Ren must have known about it. The thing was that his memory was not fully complete.

The stable was rather large for mere outer disciples. The air was filled with dense Qi and the smeel of hay everywhere. There were different boards hanging inside, he could not decipher it yet. "Umm there seemed to be more than horses here?'', he muttered.

Without any hesitation he asked the man near the gate, sitting on a rough chair. His voice calm, "Show me some horses that are fast". The question was rather simple but the replied was not he had expected. The old man was calm yet questionable, "Fast in the sky or land?".

'Well how can I forget this the cultivation world', he chuckled. Obviously in the sky.

The old man laughed heartily. Then his voice loud, "Bring this kid Kron".

After a while something seemed to rush towards him. It was not what he expected from the horse. The horse didn't had any wings. He startled, "How can it even fly".

The old man replied, "Don't worry the horse is in Soul Ascension realm, meaning it can easily fly".

Of course the old man words were true. One could fly after being advanced to the Soul Ascension real.

He knew that human beings could transcend but it seemed creatures were no different.

Without any dealy he gave the token to the old man and left with Kron.

Any normal human being on his first ride on a horse would be staggered or feel somewhat uncomfortable. But that was not the case for Han Ren, his body seemed to automatically synchronized with Kron. But what was shocking was Kron itself. It was his first time riding it but it looked as if the horse had already extended his wings to him. It was truly confusing. His inside were filled with a soft energy. The touch on Kron felt warm and satisfying. Han Ren hadn't felt the warmth for a long time but now he was not alone. He was no more lonely, it looked as if he had finally gotten his partner.

...

In the breezing cloud, both Kron and Han Ren moved against the wind. They were rushing towards the very end of Eastern plains where their nightmare would begin.
