Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Hairymon

Micol was arranging books on a shelf when a school bully walked past and slapped her on the butt.

Furious, Micol threw a book at him. The bully was about to hit back when Peter suddenly appeared and grabbed his hand.

The bully snapped, "What do you think you're doing? Let go!"

At that moment, another bully swung a baseball bat toward Peter. Peter sensed it coming, dodged quickly, and kicked him to the ground.

The first bully punched at Peter, but Peter swiftly ducked and threw both of them onto each other.

Peter grabbed Micol's hand and ran toward the balcony.

From a distance, Max saw them and followed.

Smiling, Micol asked, "What's going on with you?"

Nervously, Peter said, "MJ... I love you."

Micol stared at him in shock. "You... when did you get this brave? I love you too."

Peter leaned in and kissed her. They held each other tightly as they kissed.

Just then, Max ran up, calling out, "Peter—"

He stopped mid-sentence when he saw them kissing. "Oh... sorry, didn't mean to interrupt."

Peter quickly said, "No, no, it's okay—don't go—"

But before he could finish, he sensed something big was about to happen.

Micol asked, "Peter, are you okay?"

Peter's eyes turned serious. "No!"

He ripped off his shirt and pants, revealing his Spider-Man suit underneath.

Max gasped, "Oh my God—you're Spider-Man!"

Peter pulled on his mask and leapt off the balcony. Max and Micol stood frozen, staring as he swung away.

Meanwhile, on San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, a mother and her daughter were happily singing along to the radio.

Suddenly, the cars ahead screeched to a halt. Confused, the mother looked around as people began to panic.

Before she could react, a car flew over her roof. She grabbed her daughter and ran with the crowd.

Looking back, she saw a massive black figure wreaking havoc—Dr. Austin, now transformed into Hairymon, was lashing out with his growing hair, grabbing a car and hurling it into the air.

Just as the car was about to crush the mother and daughter, Spider-Man swung in, caught it with his web, and flung it away.

Spider-Man and Hairymon faced each other from opposite ends of the bridge.

Spider-Man called out, "Hey there, Hairymon!"

From afar, Hairymon shouted back, "What did you say? I can't hear you!"

Spider-Man turned to the mother and daughter. "Did you hear what he said?"

They shook their heads.

"Never mind," Spider-Man muttered. "I'm done talking."

He swung toward Hairymon, but Hairymon extended his hair and wrapped it around him. Spider-Man punched free, grabbed the hair, and flung Hairymon off the bridge.

Spider-Man walked to the edge to look down—only for Hairymon to grab him from behind and slam him onto the bridge, leaving cracks in the pavement.

Weakly, Spider-Man stood up. Hairymon grabbed several cars and sneered, "Hey, Spider-Man. Catch!"

He smashed them down, splitting the bridge in two before escaping.

Seeing the bridge collapsing, Spider-Man leapt to the edge and shot webs, holding the two halves together with all his strength.

The mother ran up to him, crying, "My daughter fell on the other side! Please, save her!"

Straining to hold the bridge, Spider-Man fired a web line near the girl. "Go! Climb across!"

The girl sobbed, looking down at the waves. "I—I can't!"

"You can!" Spider-Man yelled. "Believe in yourself! You have to believe in yourself!"

The girl trembled but began to crawl. Just before she reached safety, the web snapped—but Spider-Man reacted instantly, shooting another web to pull her into his arms.

The mother hugged her daughter tightly. "Thank you! Thank you so much!"

"Go," Spider-Man panted. "Get out of here."

Once they fled, he shot multiple webs, sealing the broken bridge together, even crawling beneath to reinforce it from below.

When he climbed back up, the crowd erupted in applause.

Seeing police arrive, Spider-Man swung away.

From afar, Hairymon watched him vanish into Peter's home. "Oh," he murmured darkly, "you're Peter Parker."

Later that night, Max and Micol came to Peter's house.

Sitting together in his room, Max asked first, "Are you really Spider-Man?"

Peter grinned. "What do you think?"

Max laughed in disbelief. "I can't believe my best friend is Spider-Man!"

Micol smiled. "Peter, you're so cool."

"Thanks," Peter said, smiling.

He grabbed their hands and led them outside. Tell Aunt May, "I'll be back later."

May called after him, "Don't stay out too late!"

The three of them sat in a café.

Peter asked, "So, what are you two planning after graduation?"

Max said, "I'll take over my dad's company."

Micol replied, "I haven't decided yet."

Then she asked, "What about you, Peter?"

Before Peter could answer, his expression turned serious.

Suddenly, Hairymon smashed through the café window.

Peter started to move but was slammed into a wall. He hit the ground hard.

Hairymon grabbed Micol, who screamed.

"Midnight," Hairymon snarled. "Balloon factory. Don't call the cops! Hahaha!"

He vanished with Micol before anyone could react.

Max helped Peter up. "Are you okay?"

Peter stood, his eyes blazing with fury.

Midnight came.

Peter pushed open the factory doors. A crow-shaped balloon floated out.

Looking up, he saw Micol tied to a chair, hanging from the ceiling. Suddenly, the rope snapped—Micol screamed as she fell, but Peter dove forward and caught her just in time.

"Are you okay?" he asked.

Micol nodded weakly.

"Get out of here," Peter said.

She ran.

A voice echoed through the factory: "Hello, Peter Parker."

"Who are you?" Peter demanded. "How do you know my name?"

Hairymon chuckled. "You don't recognize me? I'm the Bald Doctor!"

Peter's eyes widened. "Dr. Austin?! You... what happened to you?"

Austin smirked. "How do I look? Pretty handsome with all this hair, huh?"

Peter searched for him, then froze at the voice behind him—

"I'm right behind you."

Hairymon lashed out with his hair. Peter dodged. Another strike—Peter flipped over it.

Dr. Austin hurled a helium tank at him. Peter webbed it mid-air, spun around, and smashed it back into Austin.

Austin crashed to the ground. "You little brat!" he roared.

He shot his hair forward, wrapping Peter tightly. Then he ripped off Peter's mask, staring at his struggling face. "If you don't want to die, stay out of my way."

Peter spat, "Go to hell!"

Austin's hair constricted around his throat. Peter gasped, nearly blacking out—until Micol struck Austin from behind with a wooden stick.

Austin turned, glaring. "Aren't you two just adorable."

Peter stood up. "Don't touch her!"

He fired two webs, yanking Austin off his feet and pinning him to the ground. Peter jumped on top and punched him again and again.

Austin roared and flung Peter across the room, smashing him through a wall into a storage chamber full of helium tanks.

As Austin entered, Peter kicked him in the face, then webbed his hair to a nearby tank valve.

Austin pulled, ripping the valve off—the pressurized gas burst out, launching the tank and slamming him into a storage rack. The rest of the tanks toppled, burying him completely.

"Doctor! Are you okay?!" Peter called out.

Suddenly, Austin exploded upward, sending tanks flying. Peter dodged every one.

Then Austin went still. He collapsed.

Peter rushed to him and caught his body.

Austin grabbed Peter's hand weakly. "Tell... my daughter... I love her."

His hand fell limp.

"Doctor! Hang on! The ambulance is coming!" Peter shouted, panic in his voice.

Time passed.

Dr. Austin's funeral ended. His daughter and ex-wife remained at his grave.

Peter approached, knelt beside the little girl, and said softly, "Your dad loved you very much."

The girl hugged him tightly.

Max, Micol, and Aunt May watched from afar.

Days later, Peter, in his Spider-Man suit, chatted with Micol on the balcony.

Then, hearing distant sirens, he kissed her, pulled on his mask, and leapt into the night.
