Chapter 16 - Where it all started

Ragna nodded as he felt his improved after adding the two attribute points to it. Even though it wasn't obvious, the feeling was still there, as they say: even a drop of water could form an ocean with time.

Even though it had been almost two weeks since he was transmigrated to this world, Ragna felt like he had been living in this world all his life; it was the first time he had experienced such a peaceful life, if anything.

Although the number of abilities he had was currently zero, with the increase in his attributes, Ragna didn't feel the difference much; however, that didn't mean he didn't need abilities. The attributes were only there to increase his base strength.

While having abilities would increase his overall powers, thanks to the trio picking on him he would finally be getting his first abilities after transmigrating.

Afterwards, Ragna decided to check the skill and abilities interface. [Abilities, and Skills]

[Ability: Cursed one, ?????]

[Dash - Level 2]

[Cursed Regeneration - Level 1]

[Cursed blessings {Immunity to Toxin, Fire, Cold, Illusion - Level 1]

[Cursed one True form - Level 1]

[Cursed Fragment soul :1/????]

[Cursed abilities:Null]

Ragna had a look of curiosity as he stared at the skill and abilities panel, although the rest of his skills were either null or Level 1, just as the notification he received indicated, Dash had increased to Level 2.

Another thing was, while there was no information displayed about it, just by looking at it, he could feel its distance at which he could travel, and the duration of it had increased.

'Guess the shitty system doesn't explain everything after all.' Ragna summarized in his head, his current speed without Dash could be said to be at least thrice as fast as the trio he had fought at the cafeteria.

But with Dash, especially with it entering Level 2, he was sure to be at least ten times, if he had used it, then even without it being Level 2, the fight would have ended way faster.

Ragna had a little smirk on his expression, compared to his original world, he was definitely doing better. If anything, if it were up to him, he wouldn't want to look for more cursed fragment souls because of the drawback, especially with the fact that he could absorb an infinite amount of them.

Of course, an infinite amount of cursed fragment souls meant an infinite amount of abilities, but he might lose his sanity before he could even get the chance to get to it, and at this point, it was only wishful thinking.

Ragna had a feeling that was what the system wanted him to do, but he wasn't stupid enough to go through with it. He shrugged his head, as he put these thoughts away.

There were simply no benefits in doing something stupid; eventually, he decided to go home. Meanwhile, the cursed fragment soul in his mind had been quiet the whole time, the incident at the cafeteria was still replaying in its head.

It had a feeling of excitement just thinking about the whole incident, even though it's had lost its body and was merely a cursed fragment soul, it didn't care it was the first time it had experienced the feeling of how power felt like, and it feels like to be strong.

In fact, it was hoping for what the current Ragna would do next. Even though Ragna could tell the cursed fragment soul had its own thought, he couldn't be bothered about it as he closed his eyes to sleep.

The next morning, there was a loud grunt as Ragna opened his eyes to see a notification from the system, and as usual, the quest difficulty had slightly increased except for the sleeping quest, where he had to sleep for ten minutes.

At this point, he was sure the reason why he was only being told to sleep for ten minutes was that he had only absorbed one cursed fragment soul, and was likely to increase in the nearest after absorbing more cursed fragment souls and gaining more abilities.

'Just how long would I need to sleep for after I absorbed those trio abilities? Guess I wouldn't know until then.' He shrugged his shoulders as he got up, and began dressing.

Soon Ragna was ready and prepared to go to the academy, until he remembered he was supposed to have left earlier since his punishment was starting today.

"Fuck this, I hate this school life!" Ragna cursed, as he rushed out of the house like a madman. Even though it was still early in the morning, since he was serving a punishment he was supposed to have arrived before anyone else to start cleaning.

The streets and roads were brightly lit, as Ragna ran like a madman on the loose, even using Dash a couple of times until he was almost hitting the limit of his stamina, which was five times.

From the time Ragna left the house, to the time he got to the academy, it didn't take him more than ten minutes, considering it was a two-hour journey from his house.

Ragna heaved a sigh of relief, as he arrived and saw that the academy was still empty, meaning he had arrived on time. Since no one had begun to arrive yet, he rushed to the disciplinary hall.

Where he could see a stoic teacher waiting for him with a deep look on his expression, the teacher quickly gave him a scanning look before handing over a timetable of his punishment.

Ragna shrugged as he collected it and headed to the location where he would be serving his punishment, the cafeteria, the place where it all started.
