"I...Uhhh why do you asked?",I questioned her confused. "JUST SAY IT!",she shouted at me. I was confused and kind of scared,so I said,"I..Uhhh...I am from..Korea, why did you-" She cuts me and says,"Oh, alright nevermind."
She finishes eating and leaves. After that, while I was eating, I couldn't help myself but be skeptical on what Nadia was talking about and why she wanted to know where I was from."Ugh, this hurts my brain." I sighed. After that I was doing the dishes, the thoughts still didn't leave me, Then I try to go to sleep, Still I couldn't sleep,"Ahhhhhhhh, why do I care soo much about this one topic? Tomorrow I WILL ask her everything about this." Once again, Nadia was the reason I couldn't sleep.
It's the next day."Ahhhh, I was giving that big talk when I said I will ask her about it...But wouldn't it be weird if I just broke in and started asking questions?",I asked myself. I decided to cancel that and decided to go to the nearby park, for some fresh air. But as I was heading out of the building, I see Nadia coming back from somewhere. I feared I would get ignored again so I decided to ignore her.
As we both start to close our distance, I try looking away, but...this time, I wasn't the one starting the conversation, Nadia herself says,"Umm, hey. Are you free tonight?". It wasn't the fact that she started the conversation, but it was the question she asked. I answer with,"Uh yeah, why did you ask?" Then she says,"Remember last night, consider it as returning the favour."
Then, I continue my way to the park. There I sat on the swing like I always used to. Then I remember my past..... I was always the kind of person who would always be left behind by everyone. I was litterly greated into this world with my mother's death, my father was a 30 year old pedophile. There I was adopted my two great people, who later sacrificed themselves and there own daughter for me in a fire. And then, back to the adoption center I go...even there, I had nobody to talk to, nobody to play with, nobody to call family, nobody to rely on. Just me with my past."Just thinking about it makes me depressed even thought I already am.", I said to myself while swinging as high as I could. The motion of my head moving while on the swing, reminded me of all the bullying I used to get for having different coloured eyes. Just thinking about that made me irritated and as I was going to push the swing once again. My hand slips, I find myself in the air, and for a split second, I see the sun setting along with the sky with more than five different shades of blue. But after that my face meets the ground.
I get up and sit on a bench for a while. And before I went back to my room, I decided why not buy some desert, soo I walk to the nearest pastor shop. But as I entered, I saw a blond waiter, who seemed to be talking to a costumer who was crying. As soon as I saw that I stepped out,"I don't think I should interrupt that." I whispered. After a while she left, and I went inside to get my order. After that I go back to my room.
But then it hit me..."NADIA INVITED ME FOR DINNER!?" As soon as I realized that I started panicking,"What do I wear?! Do I wear something casual or do I wear something formal?", I said while stuttering. "Okay Robert, calm down." I said while controlling my heartbeat. "I should probably wear something casual, it's not a party. It's just dinner." I told myself.
Then I start changing, but this wasn't the normal way I would wear something, I don't know why but I actually wanted to look decent, for some reason.
Once I was ready, I get out of my room and then I knock on Nadia's door. Nothing. I knock once again, louder. But suddenly, I hear a huge thud coming from her room. I got worried so I started slamming the door, until it opened.
And when the door opened, I saw something terrifying.. I saw. I saw Nadia lying on the floor.
