The Queen noticing, her daughter standing in front of the castle doors, broke off from her husband.
"Marina darling," The Queen said with a beckoning gesture.
"Come greet your father." The Queen said and Marina tried her best to put up a smile as she walked forward.
Running forward once more, Marina jumped into her father's arms and her father spun her around.
"My little princess." Marina's father said and Marina was reminded of her dad in her past life.
Marina's father pulled her away from his chest to look at her and as he pulled away, Marina's imagination of her dad in her past life was broken. For his short blonde hair turned green, his bright blue eyes became a light shade of green but the smile that her dad in the past life had, when he held her was the same smile her dad in her present life wore.
"I got you a gift." The King said and gestured to the guards to bring in the gift.
"I got them on my subjugation quest." The King said excitedly but the Queen interrupted him.
"On a subjugation quest?" The Queen asked in worry as the bestie the King apprehended were brought in.
"They are uncorrupted." The King said with a smile.
"But they are still bestiae." The Queen said, gesturing to the King's gift.
"Don't worry." The King said pulling the Queen close.
"What do you think darling?" The Queen asked but Marina was stunned into silence.
"Do you not like it?" The King asked in worry and Marina burst into tears as she rushed forward.
Crying softly, Marina looked at the bestia that mirrored her wolf form in her previous life. It was smaller than she was at 22 and had three diamonds ingrained in its forehead but it had her white fur and her bright blue eyes but the bestia that evoked more tears from Marina's eyes was the second bestia, with its coat as black as night and it's glowing amber eyes that closely resembled Gale's.
Seeing her obvious joy, the Queen swallowed her worries.
"Where would we keep them?" The Queen asked as Marina ran her hands through the bestiae's fur.
"With me." Marina said immediately.
"I am not sure you are ready for that kind of responsibility dear." The Queen said gently.
"I can do it!" Marina said stamping her foot and using the fact that she was now a child as leverage.
"My room is big." Marina said spreading her arms out to describe how big her room is.
"I will take care of them and I will feed them delicious stuff and-" Marina said and the King laughed as he pulled his wife close to him.
"I will send the guards to set up a place for them to stay in her room. They will also bathe them when necessary and the maids will help her." The King said, kissing the Queen on her forehead.
"She's got this." The King said to the Queen with a smile and like a lovestruck fool, the Queen nodded quickly.
Knowing that they need some alone time, Marina excused herself and the bestiae and trekked deeper into the field.
Stopping in front of a huge elm tree and checking that the grass was devoid of water, Marina lowered himself to the ground and the bestiae surrounded her. The black bestia put it's head on her lap and Marina ran her hands down the second bestia's white fur.
"I should name you something." Marina said aloud.
"How about I name you Luna." Marina said to the white bestia.
"And I will name you Sol." Marina said to the black bestia and they nodded like they understood her.
Momentarily freezing, because she didn't know that they could understand her, Marina's mind went back to the old wives tale that were often spoken by the old maids.
"The bestiae were once the protectors of Alvonia." Marina rembered an old maid saying with conviction.
"They were the guardian spirits of Alvonia and they were bold and majestic. They were capable of understanding us, despite not speaking and were responsible for bountiful harvests." the old maid had said but no one believed her.
"I guess it's true then." Marina said patting Luna's big snout.
"I also heard that the bestiae wield the same elements as Alvonians. How can I test that?" Marina asked aloud before plucking out a hair from Luna's head quickly.
Luna startled and hurt opened her mouth and a high powered burst of water flowed out of her open mouth.
