Glancing at Lorraine with despise, Princess Marina began to murmur. Wondering what she was doing, Lorraine didn't understand the gravity of Princess Marina's action until sigils shone under her foot.
Panicking now, Lorraine tried to run out of the circle but the circle trapped her in.
"Princess Marina!" Lorraine yelled in fear.
"Please why are you doing this?" Lorraine said as the sigils burned brighter.
Opening her eyes, Princess Marina said "Revelo!" and Lorraine shook like she had been electrocuted.
Screaming, Lorraine shook her head in pain.
"Revelo!" Princess Marina emphasized and Lorraine disappeared only to be replaced by a gigantic purple bestia with cosmic eyes.
Cutting her palm open with a knife from her tool belt, Princess Marina began to pour blood on the sigils and Lorraine wailed in agony.
"Stop!" Lorraine exclaimed in panic but Marina ignored her until she covered the sigils with her blood.
"Why are you doing this?" Lorraine asked in panic.
"Why did she do it?" Princess Marina said and Lorraine faltered.
"Why did she curse us? Then send me here?!" Princess Marina asked in anger.
"Is she trying to mock me?" Princess Marina asked with an intimidating laugh.
"Why did she do it?" Princess Marina asked, stepping towards Lorraine.
"Answer me!" Princess Marina exploded.
Flashback
Two years ago.
"Within the span of today, my little princess will be bestowed a blessing." The King said, excitedly spinning a five year old Marina in his arms.
"What do you think she would get?" The King said as he put Princess Marina on his hip.
"What do you think about another wind user?" The King said, wiggling his eyebrows.
"Zyra already takes after you." The Queen said taking Princess Marina from the King.
"It won't be bad if Princess Marina could take after me." the Queen said, sticking out her tongue to the King and walking away quickly.
"Wait for me!" The King yelled as he ran after the Queen.
Stopping to compose themselves where no one would see them, the King and Queen crossed the threshold of the temple doors with a regal flourish.
Placing Marina inside a black circle, the King said "It will be over before you know it."
Stepping out of the black circle that was enclosed in another circle with four colours. The King watched as the priests placed a leaf on the blue part, a metal mallet on the red part, a feather on the white part and a shield on the brown part of the circle.
Stepping out of the circle themselves, the Priests began to mutter and sigils appeared on the floor.
More curious than scared, five year old princess Marina stared at the sigil in awe before a memory flitted into her head.
"Get back here!" Estania screamed at the night sky.
"Who is that?" Marina thought as she held her head.
"Get back here!" Estania screamed again and Gale pulled her close to him.
"Who is he?" Marina thought.
"Gale-"Estania said while trembling.
"She has to come back!" Estania said with tears streaming down her eyes.
"Why is she crying?" Marina thought as she relieved a memory she didn't understand.
"She has to reconsider!" Estania said, looking at Gale in panic.
"Why should we be punished for this?" Estania asked Gale, holding his hands in panic.
"Punished?" Marina thought as the memory played out in her head
"We finally-" Estania said, slightly heaving.
"We finally found out we're mates, after years of pretending we didn't like each other. After years of holding back!" Estania said and Gale hugged her with tears in his eyes.
"Mates?" Marina thought to herself in confusion.
"I wont accept this!" Estania said, slightly pushing Gale away.
"She has to reconsider!" Estania said with panic.
"She has to-" Estania said, crumbling to her knees and Marina mimicked her in the temple.
As Estania broke down on the forest floor, Marina also broke down in the temple and when Estania could no longer find Gale, Marina screamed a scream so shrill, that the King had to stop his wife from diving into the circle to rescue her child.
Flashback end.
"You're the one who begged for help!" Lorraine exclaimed in panic.
"You begged the Goddess to help you!" Lorraine exclaimed.
"The Goddess cursed me!" Princess Marina boomed and Lorraine flinched.
"I would rather drop dead than beg her for help!" Princess Marina exclaimed.
"No, you got it wrong." Lorraine said, shaking her massive head.
"You didn't beg your Goddess, you begged mine." Lorraine said and Princess Marina stopped dead in her tracks.
