As soon as Kaan woke up, he bathed and started working on his circulation. He circulated his Qi to the point that even if a lightning bolt struck him, it would follow the stable route of his internal Qi flow. After stabilizing, he started training the Jade Palm, which was the most boring part for him—punching sand over and over.
"When I open my Right and Left Arm Meridians, that's where it will finally be fun," he thought. Jade Palm required accumulating Qi inside the palms and releasing it explosively to the opponent in order to work.
After his workout ended, he quickly took another bath, took out his notebook, and started reading the mountain of formation books Master Chu had sent. The first book he grabbed was named, Basics of Formation Art.

The text explained the requirements: to start making formations, the very basic things you need are Jade Ink, at least Circulation Level cultivation, and resources that can store Qi, like Jade Stone or Qi Stone. The first formation a disciple learns is the Sound Muffling Formation. This formation blocks some level of sound coming from outside and also blocks a certain level of sound going outside.
"Alright, that sounds cool. I can make this for recording studios in exchange for money," he mumbled, already thinking about Earth integration. He took a look at the diagrams and immediately associated them with electrical circuits. "A bunch of geometric shapes written with a special ink that can conduct Qi—this is really like a motherboard. I need to somehow engrave this onto the battery, the Jade Stone."
He looked at the supplies his Master sent: the Jade Ink, a quill, and a tool that somewhat looked like a chisel. Master Chu also sent a spatial storage worth of high-quality Jade Stone. "Wow, I think earthly gold doesn't matter much to Master," Kaan thought, appreciating the sheer wealth of the raw material.
So, he picked up the pointed chisel and started engraving the pattern according to the schematic.
Bing, bing, bing, bing... crackle, crackle... "Oh, shi—"

Kaan, at the last minute, instinctively gathered his Qi in his body to protect himself from the explosion. The force knocked him back, but the Qi shield held.
"Goddamnit! Why didn't you tell me it would explode?" He thought, scrambling to find the relevant section in the book. He eventually found a small section stating that failure often resulted in a controlled explosion of the Qi buildup.
"Modern-day hastiness was almost going to cost me my life. I have to read these cover-to-cover first," he said to himself. After trying 4 times, he succesfully engraved the geometric shapes to the Jade Stone.
"Now what's left is paint this with Jade Ink, let's do this." Kaan grabbed the quill, dipped it inside the ink, and started to follow along the lines he engraved. He meticulously drew the lines with some fear in his face, thinking it would explode, but to his surprise, the process was calm.
As soon as he finished, a small, approximately 50 cm diameter sphere of energy formed around the stone.

He was completely lost in thoughts and experiment, so focused that he didn't even notice Mei was standing right besides him.
"AAAH!" Kaan screamed.
"I didn't mean to scare you, sorry," Mei said with some guilt in her eyes.
