"I don't like him one bit," Tristan hissed, his brows pulled together in clear annoyance. He kept his eyes on the Blackwood heir who was walking straight toward them, his jaw tight as if he was holding back more than he wanted to show.
"Why?" Lilian asked. She still didn't understand what had set him off.
"He gives me a bad vibe, can't you feel it?" Tristan said, his voice rising with anger. Anyone could tell he had a deep problem with that family.
"Have you guys met before?" Riley asked. She looked at Tristan for a second, then turned her eyes back to the visitors.
"Not really…" Tristan answered quietly. His lips barely moved. Then he leaned close and whispered into her ear. "Say no more. The unfortunate one can hear you now."
