ISOBEL
"How dare he threaten me in that manner?" I muttered to myself as I hurriedly stuffed my clothes into my duffel bag. "Who gave him such audacity?"
All of my mutterings didn't stop me from quickly gathering my little belongings because I knew I couldn't bear to stay in this pack any longer.
Not only was I fed up with Ophelia and her drama, I just couldn't tolerate her godson, Mason. I was certain he knew who I was from the start, yet he did nothing to stop me. Why?
I just couldn't wrap my head around it, or was it some kind of game with his mother? To prove that I was indeed the hoe she always accused me of. Whatever it was, I refused to be part of it, and that was why I needed to leave immediately.
"Isobel," My name came as a whisper and when I turned around, I found Quinn, latched to the door. "What are you doing?" She asked, looking genuinely confused.
