"Hey Victor, can you tell me some tips, I'm kind of new to the whole hunting gig, this is actually my first time" Leo said awkwardly.
"Don't worry it's pretty easy, you just need to be stealthy and charge at them as soon as they get distracted, watch us while we hunt then try when you see a weak animal like a rabbit" Victor explained.
Leo followed them slowly making sure not to make any sounds in the jungle to not scare away prey. Soon, the group saw a deer roaming the jungle, they slowly stalked it until it looked the other way. When it did, A lion took initiative, Water drops suddenly gathered in the air him forming spikes.
Leo blinked for a second, when he opened his eyes the water wasnt there anymore and the deer's head separated from its body and fell onto the ground.
"Nice shot!" The group congratulated the lion on the clean kill.
"What was that?" Leo asked, confused about what just happened.
"That was one of my skills, it's called weak water manipulation, it allows me to manipulate a small ammount of water, since the atmosphere in the jungle is humid I can form these spikes from the air and send them out." The lion explained to Leo.
"Oh, that's a cool..skill" Leo complimented the lion.
Leo went over to Victor, "I don't have any skill, how do I hunt?" Leo asked Victor.
"You don't need one, you can hunt with you teeth or claws." Victor replied.
Leo nodded and walked with the group. The group decided to split to cover more area so Leo went with Victor to the group he chose.
After a bit of time, Leo's group found a small rabbit and they made Leo be the one to hunt it. They silently cheered for him as he lurked behind the rabbit.
Leo kept waiting for the perfect time then he charged at the rabbit. The rabbit noticed his too late, before it could run away Leo's claws dug into its skin, then his maw bit off the rabbit's head off.
"You have gained, 1 XP and 1 coin" The leveling system's voice echoed in his head.

'Wow I really did gain XP, but 1 XP is so little, I would need 100 rabbits to level up, maybe that one was just weak and gave me less that normal'
"You are a natural at hunting, I didn't manage to catch any rabbits in my first time hunting" Victor praised Leo.
"Thanks Victor" Leo smiled, he felt like he and Victor were starting to become friends. he didn't have any friends in his past life so that would be something special for Leo.
By the end of the day, Leo had managed to hunt 4 more rabbits. Those three were much harder than the first one, it seemed like the first rabbit was really weak.
From those four rabbits, He ended up gaining 9 XP and 4 Coins. So in total he had 10 XP and 290 coins in his balance , he also sold ate 2 out of five of the rabbits and sold the other 3 for 6 coins to the group but he gave those coins to Victor as a thank you for letting him come.
"Thanks for letting me come with you guys" Leo thanked Victor.
"Stop thanking me every time I help you, it's annoying" Victor acted annoyed so Leo would stop, but deep down he felt happy that he helped Leo.
Leo went back to his den, he threw himself onto the rock chair and let out a deep breath. Today was a productive day, He managed to get 10% of the XP he needed to level up.
"You have received a quest from the system" The leveling system informed Leo.
Leo quickly opened his Stats page.

'Wow the quests gives 70 XP and a skill, thats Alot, I should do it as fast as possible'
Leo wanted to finish the quest as fast as possible but he was too too tired to do anything so he decides to sleep, he could do the quest tommorow.
The next day, He went to find Victor, he had to tell him about the quest so they would go hunting again, Leo explained the details to Victor.
"Sorry Victor but our group only hunts every five days, out hunters need a couple of days to regenerate their mana" Victor explained.
When Victor saw Leo's face after he told him they couldn't go with the group he changed his mind.
"Look, maybe we could go with each other as a duo, I am a middle ranked lion so there shouldn't be any problem with me going with you so you can hunt, let's go follow me" Victor told Leo.
Leo was going to thank Victor again but then he remembered that Victor told him to stop doing that so he happily followed him quietly.
When they reached the forest Victor explained the details, he would use a scouting skill to figure out the locations of the rabbits then he would guide Leo to the Rabbits so he could hunt them.
After a while Leo was able to hunt 4 rabbits and gained 6 XP and 4 coins, now he needed to hunt one more rabbit. Victor told Leo that there was only 1 more rabbit in the area so he should try his hardest to hunt it.
Leo followed Victor to the location of the rabbit, then he saw it. This rabbit was majestic, it was different from the other ones it looked stronger and faster.
Leo stalked the rabbit and lunged toward it at the perfect timing, it easily dodged his charge jumping out of the way then it turned the tables and charged towards him.
The rabbit had a skill, it could deal extra damage by charging and hitting its target, the rabbit expected to deal alot of damage to Leo. Unexpectedly , it barely scratched him.
It was just a rabbit after all, a rabbit Can not defeat a lion. It was the prey, and would always be the prey, that was the natural law of the universe.
Leo's maw crept closer to the rabbit until it snapped around its body crushing its bones giving it a quick painless death.
