The residents who saw the monstrosity outside their home, they panicked, they were scared and they went to a single room in their house. Some had guns with them, they naturally held it closer to them incase the monsters broke in. Many called the police.
At first the police ignored this as some kind of prank when they recieved only one call. But the call kept increasing and increasing, from all over the country. Not only in that country but all over the west.
Due to the extreme darkness they wouldn't be able to see this monsters but since they glow a bit, they were able to see them.
The whole world was in utter chaos, what was happening? They weren't able to explain this, what was that thing? A missing moon and monsters emerging from the ground, but the ground seemed fine. It was as if they were rigid spirits. They passed right through the ground, those monsters were able to go through things. It was as if the world was transparent to them.
This news spread all over the news and the internet. The military had to step in to this matter. These monsters were everywhere, wherever there was no sunlight.
The other side of the world was safe for now, since there were no monsters. Besides people in the internet these days were smart they had already drawn up a conclusion that , since there was a disappearance of the moon, these monsters started to crawl up from the ground. But the east seemed to be fine, why is that? Because there was sun, they didn't confirm it yet, they needed proof.
Warnings were issued to every phone in the west, to not step out of the house. But the damage had already done, many were getting killed as these monsters could travel through opaque objects.
Many people shifted to the underground bunkers, most of them were somewhat safe, but some eventually passed away.

Joseph was a normal cop, he had a stable family with loving wife and a 9-month old kid. He had a good reputation among the other cops, many women had crush on him too. He was a natural looker with his silk like brown hairs and blue eyes, he was handsome, had a strong bulky build.
Life for him was comfortable, stable and happy. But it all started to crumble. First, the disappearance of the moon has thrown the whole world upside down.
Now his encounter with the monster, he was dispatched to save one of the citizens, one of the earliest caller. He had his night vision goggles on, at the beginning there weren't much monsters, hardly two per street, but now it had increased.
He wasn't able to comprehend what that thing infront of him was. It had three eyes arranged in a triangular shape, a human like face and a centipede like body. It was eerie, scary. It was all black, but was glowing, just like all the others.
He had made sure the citizen was safe, it was his first priority. When he arrived he wasn't able to see anything, but that eerie thing crawled from the window. As soon as he saw that monster he held up his pistol.
'What the f*ck is that? ' he thought. He was scared, his legs were shaking. A drop of sweat rolled from his hairs.
Without hesitation he shot at it as it tried to approach him.
*Skreech*
It seemed that gun shot did affect it, but it wasn't much. It continued to crawl to him, he took his step back shoo.ting multiple times.

He had run out of bullets!
But that seemed to have a lot of affect on the monster, it speed has reduced down by a lot, it crawled slowly. He soon picked up the citizen, thankfully it was just one woman. She flinched a bit when she was abruptly lifted up.
"We have to get out of here ma'am, fast"
" Y-Yes sir"
He carried the woman and ran to downstairs, the microwave was running, but he didn't care. He ran carrying the woman.
As he reached the car , he didn't waste time, placing the woman in the car. He sat in the driver seat, starting the engine and driving it fastly.
But unfortunately, it was too late for him, there were already many monsters infront of him.
There were too many monsters! He will not be able to handle all those by himself, he transmitted the message through his walkie-talkies, as he drove.
He continued driving crashing through some of them, but while other simply came right through the car entering the car, Joseph panicked, losing control of the car. The woman screamed.
He lost his control and crashed to a nearby tree!
